Links to Offsite Knitting and Crochet Patterns

Mar 17, 2007

    1. Oh my gosh! Those are adorable! Love your work. Job well done.

    2. The link was to an old blog that's no longer available. I was also absent on DOA for many years, but now I've updated the post with the new link. Ravelry: Spiral Skirt pattern by Ensatina Knits

    3. This thread has some beautiful knitting patterns; I would love to try them out! Thanks :)

    4. The amigurumi based hat idea is so smart! I already make amugurimi so this will be easy!

      :love:love thank you! Lovely socks

    5. Thank you so much for compiling this list. I can't wait to crochet for my girls.

    6. I'm kind of sad that there never seems to be anything for the male dolls. Maybe I'll get good enough that I can make some someday.

    7. I'd love some Realpuki crochet patterns. There are about 4 on Ravelry, which can provide a fair selection of items by changing a few things around. I just feel like I need more variety!!

    8. I have just started making amigurumi. I have made 2 projects so far. 1 for beginners. 1 that was more complicated. I would like to make a hat for my 1/3 8-9inch wig sized dolls - just a plain hat for now! I am wary about trying to adapt a pattern because I am such a novice. Any ideas? Help?

    9. Dollquest - I think your best bet for a simple hat is to look up a pattern for a barbie or kelly doll. Most of these patterns are very easy but don't give a gauge (which for me is a problem because mine always turn up waaaaay bigger and width wise but shorter length wise) so you can just try one and go from there.

Another option is to cast on enough stitches or chain, that is large enough to go around the head of desired doll. Knit or crochet enough rows to go over head. Sew up sides and top -one cute hat. Hope this makes sense.

    10. Late to the party but Roxanne Richardson has a video that talks about knitting an "improv" hat in any size using any yarn. It should work fine for dolls since you work everything out from measurements and gauge (though for dolls I do recommend measuring in centimeters because imperial fractions get really messy really fast).

    11. Thanks! I will have a look at her video.

    12. I've been crocheting regular sized patterns with 3 strands of embroidery floss and a 1.5 mm hook and I've been making granny square stuff and it's been working out really well! But I can't wait to try some of these!

    13. I'd picked up crochet in Dec 2021. Started with curly uneven chains to being able to read patterns, make amigurumi and decorations from videos and websites. Hoping to make doll sized clothings and accessories soon :3nodding:

I know this post is very old (only a year younger than my little brother :sweat) but first two links don't work - maybe it's worth taking them down? :)
