My boy, Junior Delf Terra:

Awww, so many new cuties in here! Everybody's so adorable, I wish I'd been able to bring home another JDF before they discontinued the body.

 

Nasa That's true! JDF bodies are just amazing. I really don't know...hmm...if everybody loves them so much, why are they being discontinued?

 

Odd question, but does anyone have a blank, straight on photo of a JD Rigel? I'm going to be wiping the faceup on Edwin soon and redoing it. It's not a bad faceup but just makes him super grumpy and plain looking (searching for a new wig for him too!) He's probably first on the operating table as far as getting back into faceups go and I wanted to try to fiddle in photoshop to get a feel for what I'm going to do... Can't seem to find simple blank head company photos like I can with my DZ chen or my DC cyril.

 

My 2nd ever faceup, done on poor Edwin. He needs a new wig! I'm thinking carrot red monique gold collection.

Question for all you Junior delf owners.. Has anyone ordered and found that the resin was completely different?
I have an older senior delf and a junior delf head that are the same yellow toned resin.. But I just got a used 2013 junior delf body on the marketplace and it's a totally different, pinkish resin :C
Previously all the random pieces I had accumulated totally matched each other..

 

I fell in love with SPICA

Can someone please give me some info on the Luts availability with their dolls? I am in dire need of a Junior Delf Terra but he's always 'sold out'. Do they ever restock and if so, how often does this happen? It feels like he's been unavailable for some time now and I'm having second thoughts as to whether I'll ever get my hands on him

The Junior Delf body/versions are completely sold out / discontinued as of I think late 2013 or early 2014. You can however still acquire a Terra head via a split or full Terra doll using the Senior Delf body. You may also be able to find either the Junior Delf body or full JD Terra doll secondhand, they do come up now and again.

hi everyone!! i'm looking for some clothing input for the junior delf body. since JDs are shorter, do you find that SD13 clothes fit well, kind of fit, or don't fit? should i be looking for something more towards SD10 size? where do you all buy nice-fitting pants and shirts for your JD boys? thanks for the input~

 

My general rule of thumb is that if it works for a regular delf, it'll work for junior delf. I buy basics from Dollmore - they can be a bit long, but they're pretty reasonably priced and sturdy. Luts, of course, also has some well-fitting pieces but they're waaaay more expensive.

Unfortunately, given they're a little bit of an odd size, most of the smaller SD clothes you're going to find are largely for girls, at least from companies. Take a poke around etsy, there's usually a pretty good variety of basics and it's definitely easier to find different styles.

 

I find Volks SD10 stuff works really well (though I realize I'm replying to an old question, haha)

Terra look beautiful, Luts will allow us to purchase head separately from 27 Nov to 18 Jan. I will buy Terra.

So I got a junior delf body secondhand (I'm collecting one of each line xD) but I was looking into head options for a hybrid. So far I have a Doll Family A Anthony head on the body, which isn't bad but I need to mod the neck hole in the head deeper so it doesn't have such a long neck.

HAHAHA! I have put together MY OWN Delf Spica with a Spica head and an IoS 50 cm boy body! I couldn't buy him when he came out and I wanted to but the funds weren't there and I have been pining ever since. He doesn't have eyes or a wig yet. But I'm working on it. I got him the girliest pink face-up and I can't wait until he's complete.

 

I'm actually wanting to do the opposite! I used to own an IoS Cho head that I never got around to getting a body for and I regret selling it. So I want to get one again to put on this body.

 

It's been a minute since I last posted my Lepus in here.

I love Junior Delf size so much. I low-key regret not getting another doll from Luts before they stopped selling them.

 

I am hoping to be a proud owner of a JDF body soon...but what heads to put on it? I'd love to get a Luts head but are the head sizes okay to put on it?

 

Size-wise I think most standard SD size heads should work - I've put regular SD size event heads on my Terra's body before and it works fine. Some sculpts might be a bit bobbleheaded but the JDF body is.... not immature exactly. Soft enough? That it doesn't look too out of place. You might have to do some minor neck mods for fit depending on the exact sculpt.

In the end I think it probably comes down to personal preference? I wouldn't put, like, an iplehouse head on it, it would feel too mature for that body for example, but you know your own taste well enough to know what would work for you.

 

Delf size boy or girl or SDF size girl works
I have four JDFs, two with their original heads (Terra and Rigel) and two JDF bodies, one with Blanchet girl Senior Delf head and the other with Emma Delf girl head. Sorry for my english

 

@Nasa - I wanted to get a Luts head specifically for the body. I wanted to know if what heads from their current lines would work.

I understand any SD would do but I'm not wanting to hybrid too much since I have seen the neck can be a little tall? IDK. I'll have to see once I get my body in.

When you say Delf Size Boy, do you think event heads work? I see they do a lot of interchangeability through their lines like putting a Delf head on an SDF or SDF65 and vice versa?
