Huajing Doll 1/5 Discussion

I really adore looking at the Huajing dolls, they all look nice. I was wanting to get one of the 1/5 dolls so I'm excited to see yours. I did need a yosd body for a floating head so I ordered one of them and I'm waiting for it to ship. I'll keep an eye out for your box opening. I believe it's up to three months for them to make and ship them.

 

Ooh, the size has me intrigued. I'll be looking forward to owner photos!

 

Geeker is currently on my wishlist!
It's interesting to see more companies coming out with this scale - I definitely think I'm going to like it!
I have a 1/4 Huajing Boy - so I can say their dolls are gorgeous in person!

 

I bought Kui Ning, Ai Xi, and Geeker with the company face up, and I found the quality very good. Even better than the promo images.

 

The quality of their faceups are lovely! I was very happy with my boy when he arrived and I'll be ordering Geeker with a faceup when I order him!

 

I want to get Geeker. Love the company pictures. I wish there was more clothing and shoe information out there.

 

I have Geeker. I have discovered that he fits 5cm sneakers, but most yosd shoes are too small. He fits Ken doll tops, and Minifee girl for a more oversize look. Larger, stretchy yosd bottoms fit, but most are too tight. I did find one seller on Etsy that stocks a limited number of 1/5 items of clothing, but I haven’t bought anything from them yet.

Did you ever manage to find 1/5 size clothing? Or did you decide to use 1/4? I've recently discovered Huajing's 1/5 and I think they are just the *perfect* size for travel!

 

Does anyone have Geeker or Andy? I'd like to see pictures of them especially with custom face-ups but I'll take anything I can get. Also curious if Geeker has that little fang sculpted on or if it's just makeup?

I hope to buy both these boys eventually (unless new one that appeals to me more appears before I can do that), I should just sell some older dolls first to make room and justify getting more. While most of my dolls are 1/4 size I tend to enjoy the smaller ones more since they're more portable so I can take them with me and do things me easily.

 

This is Geeker with the company face up, the fang is just painted on. You can also request that the tooth and the grazes be left off the face up, I believe.

 

Aww he's so cute I'm glad it's just painted on since it would have been annoying if it was part of the face sculpt, I'm brave enough to paint my own face-ups but too scared to take sanding paper to anyone face. Also good to know that they can be requested to be left out in case if I'd ended up ordering with the face-up.

[edit] I was going to attempt a 1/5 hybrid but after seeing the photos of Teny here I think I just want her, lol. Look at that pouty little mouth.

If anyone has any more pictures of light tan and also rosy white (I can't seem to find a single photo anywhere of rosy white, just the company resin sample picture...), I would love to see them!

 

Just placed my order for Teny! I went with WS, large bust, no faceup as I'll be doing it myself. I also got her an extra pair of hands, #4 I think.

Now the wait begins :') ...I guess I'll start making her some clothes in the mean time!

 

Hello! If someone have df-h 1/5 body, can you do comparison? And what head do you plane put on?

 

I have both. I have a df-h 1/5 girl and huajing 1/5 boy and girl. Did you want a comparison picture of all three, or just the two girls?

 

The tan girl is a 1/5 doll family-h with a Frappzilla Lyra Moon head and the other girl is a 1/5 Huajing Teny. Hope this helps!

I saw geeker and absolutely fell in love, he’s perfect for the character I’m trying to make. Unsure of what to buy clothing wise but I suppose a bit of trial and error won’t kill me. Hopefully I’ll be ordering him this month fingers crossed

 

Hello! Can anyone with a Huajing 1/5 boy measure their wrist circumference?
I'm trying to see if Magic Time 1/6 jointed hands would fit, since they do seem just a tad big for my DF-H 1/5 girl, but I think the Huajing body is a bit "stockier" so maybe the hands would be better for my future Andy

Edit with knowledge from future me: Doll Legend 1/6 jointed hands fit the Huajing boy body perfectly! And I'd assume the Magic Time hands would fit too since they have very similar measurements.

Anybody who ordered in Dec get any shipping updates yet?

 

I got my DF-H Little Feather on April 30th. She was ordered Oct 2nd.

 

I ordered one October 31 and then another November 5. I received the October one April 2 but haven’t gotten the shipping notification for the November order yet.

 

Thanks for the info! So sounds like around five months for Huajing, so hopefully any day now we'll get that shipping notification!

Useful to know as well that DF-H is about six months, since I also just ordered a 1/5 with them as a friend for Teny

Hello, I have a Dream Valley cat boy body (28cm give or take), and was wondering if the Geeker head would be too ridiculously big. The circumference is about the same as the head meant for that body but that doesn't tell me much... Does anyone have any ideas?

I love Huajing doll's 1/5 body so much. It's such a pleasure to pose. I took this relatively risky picture of Kumi, my Puyoodoll / Huajingdoll hybrid hanging onto the christmas tree in style.

It's not too hard finding clothes if you're okay with dressing them like a baby! This dress is just standard yosd size. It fits small, so I layered a skirt underneath to extend the length.

If a yosd outfit is designed to fit baggy or fit boddies labeled 30cm and up, then it will probably work. The dimensions for Huajingdoll's1/5 body is basically just yosd, but longer. Longer torso, longer arms, longer legs.

Here's some shops that I think would work well for 1/5:

• Sadol - some clothes are made to fit Bunny35. Should be a good fit!
  
• Onedolland on Etsy - they have some 1/5 options. The styles offered are mainly baggy sweaters .
• Legenddoll.net - they have a category for 1/5, but its pretty slim pickings. I do want to highlight Good Morning on Legenddoll. They have some pants for 1/5!
  
• Nine9style - some yosd articles of clothes are offered in their Jeujeu30 size. Its not as tall as the Huajingdoll body, but its a more appropriate length compared to the standard size, which is designed for 26cm dolls.
• Luts - look for HDF31 clothes size pieces Just like J30, its close enough.
• Chicabi - look for Bebe31 size pieces. Same story as J30 and HDF31.
• Code Noir - some of their Yosd dresses run big to accomodate 30cm chubby bodies, so they have some good options.

I've heard slim mini also works, but I don't personally have any experience with it.

I just ordered the 1/5 boy body... he'll be the short king among my 1/4s once I can get him a head, but I'm very excited and I'm so glad to see what other people are doing with 1/5 scale, how you guys are dressing them etc.

I finally got the dear doll size stuff in that mail today and the shoes for Finn fit perfectly on his feet. The skull t-shirt l got in this size fit him too.
