Sewing Fitted Dress for Impldoll 63cm Star Model Body

Mar 2, 2024

    1. I have been really enjoying the Impldoll Star Model Body and it has been hit or miss buying clothing for them. There is nice dress designed by SartoriaJ that does not fit the Star Model body as the under bust circumferences and torso lengths are drastically different. I took it as a challenge to recreate the dress so that they would fit my gals and wanted to share them in case anyone else would find them helpful.

Here is the link to the pattern for the dress (1/4" seam allowance is included already): https://www.halcyonstraits.com/sewing/impldollstarmodel/impldoll-fitted-dress.pdf

I will be making this dress one more time for a friend, so I may take photos of the process so that there are pictures of the steps construction. I may make a video showing construction, but my ability to film myself sewing is not really feasible until I move to another space. Here is a link to my site that has all the measurements that I've taken for the body if anyone would find it helpful. I plan on adding more patterns to my site in the future and will share a few here.

    2. Those dresses are beautiful. I don't have this body yet so I will be keeping this for when I have one (or 3 ) in the future. Thanks so much for sharing your pattern.

    3. they look so good! i like the ruffled sleeve version :) i wonder if they will also work for IH SID small bust, just visually it seems like they have a similar silhouette.

    4. I think it's possible as the Impldoll bust is 29cm which corresponds to the Large SID bust size. I only own the IH nSID body with the small bust (27.5cm), and it fits loosely on her, but not in a bad way. The straps just need to shortened a little so that she doesn't have a wardrobe malfunction though.

    5. This is simply marvelous - thank you!
Newbie sewist dumb question - what is the "tape" for? (page 2 of your pattern)

    6. I couldn't fit the entire pattern for the dress on one page, so I broke up the pieces with a zig zag line that should hopefully line up the two pieces. You could theoretically just forgo them if you wanted a shorter dress!

    7. Ohhhhh! That is so clever! Thank you!

    8. Thank you for doing this!
