They look great!! I'm glad to see the different resin tones next to each other for better comparison.
@RococoSpring Nope. So I stopped buying. I have the model body too with no problem. But when I asked if the newest body had knees like the model or Victoria she said Victoria which is the problem child.
I have also the same problem. Was first so scared, when I saw, that elastic pops are not coming back in the right position-as before she knees or sit on my shelf. Now thinking, how to make photos, if she can only stand, because afraid that I can not bring this part back after. Body is absolutely beautiful, but knees.. (I have Model body 2.0. At least it is written so on her certificate)
Yes. It’s easy to pop back. Straighten the leg, pull the bottom half of the leg till the elastic “finds” the channel. And, as they say in England, Bob’s your uncle! All set. I have the first version of the model with perfectly good knees, except the ankles had large chips missing. It took a year to get replacements with thicker ankles. I just wish she/they would go back to this body. But their loss. I have lots of shoes and the rust blazer which I love. Lately I have been putting their heads (Yue and Liu) on much taller bodies to reach their boyfriends (Pygmalion Doll and Loongsoul 73cm bodies). Maybe in 5 years they will get better. I do really like them. One other pet peeve and I’m done. So the wrists have the easy change feature where the hook locks in a groove in the wrist so you can take the hand off. But this somehow keeps the wrist from turning sideways for full rotation during posing. Actually it might be that the wrist shape is oval and prevents free movement. Yeah, that’s more likely the problem. I have a new Impldoll that also has that feature which doesn’t impede any movement. I guess I’d rate these bodies as 7 or 8. Look nice, great clothes and shoes, Asian faces, good variety of hands, ballet feet, wide color choices. But the engineering for someone who buys dolls for posing is bad and so far she is not listening when I explained the popping out of channel elastic. I do manage to pose the model version 1 fairly well. Kathy P on Instagram: "Chen is away on assignment, but Hee Do can’t stop feeling the love between them. They came so close to breaking up forever, but now Chen is expressing his feelings to her, both good and bad. And that has saved the relationship #twentyfivetwentyone #kdramacouple #fandollyue #asianballjointeddoll #balljointeddollphotography #balljointeddoll #bjd #bjdsofinstagram #dollsofinstagram #dollphotography #bjdphotography"
Hi, thank you very much for help. I think it works. I just sometimes maybe too careful, always scared to break it. But is helps! Thank you for you advice As I promised, here is my LIU. She has Model body 2.0. PW Skin Color (this was only one left in stock- I mean color, so I decided to take this.) Got her wig from AmadizArt, very soft. Some clothes from Feeple60, but leggings are a little bit small, need another one. And also she is still without shoes, I think I ll order from FanFf site, they have a lot of beautiful shoes. Hope you ll like her. And with a black wig. Was not sure which is better.
You’re very welcome. I’m glad I helped. Your Liu is so pretty. I use lots of black wigs because all my dolls are Asian but I really love the purple wig with her skin tones. Maybe you can swap periodically like I do. None of my dolls stay the same since I have a large inventory of heads, bodies, wigs, and clothes. I get bored if I leave them one way. I have 4–5 of her shoes and boots. They are well made. I had to glue one tiny sole on a pair of heels once but the shoe was fine.
I got my body a little bit ago but finally was able to try some shoes on, WHICH ARE TOO BIG what size shoes do you guys buy? (I grabbed sd13/sd16 heels)
I buy SDGR sized shoes for my FanFF girl. They’re typically labeled DD or SDGR size. I’ve never had a problem and my girls have a lot of shoes lol.
To help everyone here save money, Space Studio has some stock of a few girls, according to their website…
Has anybody here matched an FANFF head with an impldoll body? I wonder which skin tones would best match.
I have. I had a Volks normal Yue head on the real Idol 68cm body. Kathy P on Instagram: "Chen and Hee Do. He’s a reporter and artist and she’s a professional fencer. They met in high school #pygmaliondollchen #fanffdollyue #impldollbody"
Has anybody tried ordering FANFF doll through their taobao site? I wonder if it is easy to purchase it there.
I just did for this preorder... it is the same process as purchasing any other items on installment or full payment.
I did a stupid guys So I just received my Tianba Iris and well… I ordered the wrong body colour. Looks like I will be ordering a new body + extras haha! Now to figure out a head to match the body I currently have. (Accidentally bought P instead of N)
Does anybody have the official makeup especially for lin? I bought a head when it wasn't being offered only for the next preorder to have it. Would like to see some non-company photos to decide if to go after it if it is ever offered again.
Just curious has anyone gotten a shipping notification from the 62 body preorder? Also can anyone tell me how much shipping was to the US? Thank you!
Ugh, I'm thinking of ordering their new doll Sel, but does anyone know when she's going to be released?
I saw on her Weibo, she said 4/19, this Saturday. At least that's what it says on the third image when using Google Translate. 微博
Does anyone know anything about the knee mechanism on the new body? I have a terrible time with the Victoria body’s knees (elastic pops out of the channel and hard to get back in) but not the model body. I asked didn’t get a good response but I was hoping enough people complained for an upgrade.
I think they confirmed the new tan resin is a different shade so I wouldn't trust old versions of it for resin matching anyway. I can compare all of my tan dolls and report back to you, though.
Sel looks so perfect for a Fujiko Mine doll, (for context I have a Lupin and my bf has been wanting to make a Fujiko to match so I'm helping him ) I may bite and buy the head as a gift. If anyone has a pink head, body, etc. I'd super appreciate any resin matching pointers to common colors like mia pink.
Has anyone ordered from their official website? https://fanffdolls.com/ seems to be under construction, as of now. What is the difference ordering Fanff from Taobao, Spacestudio, their official website, or any other vendor? Also, does anyone have a tan Fanff doll that they have photos of in natural vs artificial lighting?
Here’s a light tan Hai. This is in south light indoors. She is on an Impl 68 body which is a warmer color than her head but doesn’t bother me. Kathy P on Instagram: "Chen sent a present to Woo Ri. A silver necklace. When he arrived she showered him with love. He realized that she is a lot like his former girlfriend Hee Do when she was younger. They also both cheer him up which he needs with his melancholic tendencies. But the comparison is lost with her shower of love #fandoll_hai #impldollbody #pygmaliondollchen #dollstory #bjd #bjdsofinstagram"
I just discovered this company and I'm thinking of getting the 61 VS body when it's available! Is any of their resin a good match for Iplehouse Normal?
I’d be careful about getting the VS body, I’m pretty sure that’s the one who is notorious for snapping ankles either in transit or with little to no use. That was their first body and it’s had a lot of tweaks since, the Model 2.0 is much better engineering wise.
Actually I had the first body (model body) with the broken ankles. It was before the VS body. I received new lower leg parts as a replacement. But I have knee issues with the VS body (if I bend the knees, the elastic stays out of channels on the back of the knees). The model body is better. Is the 2.0 body best?
Hmm I’m not entirely sure? I find my 2.0 also has the elastic issue, if I’m not careful bending her legs the elastics get stuck in the back of the knee joint. They also had an issue with the knees on the first release, they were too tight, but FanFF recalled them all and fixed the issue with the later releases. They were just squeaky really, that was what most people were complaining about before they called them back lol.
Been playing around with her a lot since she came back from her faceup. I'm still a little sad they changed the Hai sculpt (and that I didn't know before getting her again) but I think she's coming together nicely I cut her wig kinda badly, but her new one is on the way! She also needs new eyes, these ones are a little too intense for my liking x) Bonus picture of her manicure
I personally think buying from their taobao is better just because if you're a constant taobao buyer you get really good coupons given to you and you can buy it for a more affordable price, I snagged an in stock fanff 69 body for $374 usd
I agree, the only thing is that shipping can be a bit rough. They have a lot in stock available still.
No issues! I meant that shipping from a proxy or warehouse can be about $100 to the US due to the large box size.
Hey all, has anyone tried Liu on a SD13 girl body? I know they're smaller heads in general and I have a SD13 (with heeled feet so she's a bit taller than normal).
I have my Hai on the Dollzone 56 body with 11cm wide shoulders and 9cm circ neck, I think she looks great (prefer her on a smaller body)
New New fanff girls Xuu and Muu are now for pre-order! It's also now my chance to snag the 66cm body, I haven't seen it much on social media but I'd love to see any photos if folks have any!
New Does anyone know the shops she usually buys clothes to model the girls in? I know some are originals but not everything seems to be.
