Aesthetics Demons - Vassago new faceup still in progress on 04/03/2026

Edit on March 2025 : The little grey familiar demon was only one of my three demon characters. The two others didn't have a thread of their own, so I'm adding them there! First is a Supia doll Muse called Zazielle (she is 11 years old now, haha) and second is a Dollzone Mr Leung called Vassago.
And about Ronwe, who used to be a Soom Grit, she is now off topic as I reshelled her in a 3D printed Mela pocket by Merviaartdolls.

Now off topic doll, here a pick of her:

Zazielle :

She is a Supia Muse head on Volks SDgr body with currently Loongsoul hands (I broke the wrist of one of her original hands ^^').

What I like to do on her is:

• Faceup (current one done in 2018)
• Wig (completed in 2018 or 2019)
• Tattoos and body blush
• Manicure (the old one is ugly)

Poor thing is waiting for a body blush for ages. And she is supposed to have tattoos, but I have so many dolls without their tattoos...

Vassago :

Vassago is the latest addition within my angel and demon characters. I got the head though a trade, but I found him immediately perfect as a demon. I wanted a male demon for a while but never found a doll that tells me "I'm the boy demon you were looking for". He is a Dollzone Mr Leung on DFH 68cm body.

What I'd like to do on him:

• Faceup (first done in april 2025, to redo because I'm unappy with it)
• Wig (I find an old one I made for a doll now sold, so that is ok)
• Horns (in progress on february 2026)
• Tattoos and body blush
• Manicure
• Maybe one or two outfits, but I feel intimidated by SD clothes that won't be kimonos ^^'

Hi everyone! First project journal for 2024!
This is the thread of the shame : it's for a doll I forgot unstrung in the bottom of a box for many years. I bought the head in 2010, got the body in 2012, and she spent at least 10 years unstrung.She is a survivor, as I no longer collect this size:

I called her Ronwe. She is a Soom Grit on Asella's dolls Rhubarbe body. She will be a perfect familiar demon for one of my witch characters!
I mod her a third eye a long time ago (not a bad mod, if we forget the color).

What I like to do on her is:

• Modified the head (done between 2010 and 2012)
• Faceup (done on 03/19/2024)
• Wig (completed on 03/16/2024)
• Tattoos and body blush
• Manicure
• horns (completed on 03/14/2024)
• at least one outfit (#1 completed on 03/17/2024)

I have craft horns for her :

They lack the varnish, but otherwise they are finished.

I also begin a wig, that miss some wefts in the front:

I used a lazy technique to avoid having to match the white modification with the gray of the resin

Haha! I don't know if it's more a new or a resurected project. I don't remember what I planned for her 10 years ago, to say the truth!

Thank you so much! The eye mod is quite nice for an old work. Aside I won't do it in a color so drastically different of the resin color now.

Hahaha yeah, face paint is one of my soft spot in faceup, so I like this lazy technique too! Thank you!

Last evenings I tried to sew a little something for her. It's more a patch-up job than nice sewing, but it will be enough for a while.

There is a few details I'd like to add - more mini bird skulls (false, in resin) and maybe more beads. Also maybe a sleeveless coat... I will see.

Little up on her faceup, that needs a layer of sealant! The wig is finished, but I can't show it on the doll as the faceup is unsealed.

Up on this topic! I reshelled Ronwe in an off topic doll, but decided to add two other demon characters here ^^
They are named Zazielle and Vassago. Zazielle is an old BJD of mine, I bought her head in 2014, her body also in 2014 or 2015, and she has her current faceup since end of 2018- begining of 2019.

Vassago is a Dollzone Mr Leung I got in a trade with @kiraabsol (thank you again!). As he is very white, I'd like an undead look for him. So here is firts step for his makeup:

I don't really know what fibers I will choose for his wig. Zazielle has white hair, Ronwe blonde one... I want neither red hair like his promo pictures, nor black (too many black hair dolls here). I need to take a look at what I have. So no brows yet!

News here! I finished Vassago's faceup some days (weeks?) ago. Here is he:

I still am unsure of what style of wig I will give him, but I chose brown brows.

 

Small update! I'm trying to craft horns for Vassago. It's only the begining yet:

I also think I will repaint his faceup. I'm not happy with his brows.

Some progress on Vassago's horns:

I used all my terra cotta milliput and needed to continue with the white milliput . Anyway I will paint the horns once the modeling/sculpting will be done.

 

Thank you @demonslawa ! They are done, I painted and varnished them this week. Pictures soon!

I also plan to wipe Vasago's faceup this werkend. I really wish to repaint it.

 

No pics of the horns yet, but the begining of the new faceup for my Mr Leung! I found the previous one ... coarse, if that is the right word. Not subtil.

I wasn't really in the right mood to post here this morning (still devasted by the annoucement of DOA closure ), but well better posting before it will be too late. So! I continued Vassago's faceup, and he is currently waiting for a photoshoot (if I find the will to go outside tomorrow, you will see him soon in more than only a head form).
