66cm+ Dolls An Out-of-this-world Arrival! (Angel of Dream Bo)

Hello everyone! I'm ridiculously excited to share this boy with all of you, as he's a doll that has been on my wish list for over 12 years! I first saw a 90cm Angel of Dream boy at an anime convention in 2012, and have wanted one of my own ever since! I'm so thrilled to finally have this amazing boy home!

A little info about the inspiration behind his name and look- I have a running theme of stars and space among my dollies, and many of them have names that are in some way inspired by the cosmos. Given this boy's size, I decided to name him Scuti after UY Scuti, the current largest star in the known universe. I also decided to get him a beautiful sunset-colored ombre wig, which you'll see in some of the pics!

Given his unusual size, I'll add some info about his eyes and wig when those come up!


The outer box, featuring small helper cow! (This did nothing to show the scale of this bad boy, I just really liked the pic)


Now with the help of medium helper cow, this hopefully better illustrates just how big this box was! (Also please ignore messy craft room background, as I had just gotten home from a con and things were still in a greater-than-usual state of disarray.)


The inner box! Not much to this other than Angel of Dream's logo printed on the sides. I was also a little concerned, as the entire thing was pretty banged up when it arrived. At least I wasn't tempted to keep the box this time?


I finally got to the inside of both boxes and was greeted by this MASSIVE set of resin buttcheeks. Nice of AoD to include undies though.


Up and out of the box, though still bald and devoid of peepers! Also confirmation that he was completely fine, despite the damage to his box.


Alas, poor Yorick, I knew him...
(I had to take his head off to put in Scuti's eyes, and it's FRIGGIN HUGE.)


Quick shout-out to Angel of Dream and Alice's Collections for the extra goodies that were included! AoD included eyes, a wig, and shoes, and I got a dark green kimono as an event freebie from Alice's. I can't express enough how thankful I am to have a pair of shoes from the start that fit this boy's massive feet!


Trying out the freebie wig and eyes, as well as a cardigan I crocheted for him! The wig is cute and would be great if I didn't already have one, but it's not the style I had planned for this boy. I'm not quite sure if these will be his permanent eyes just yet, but I like them so far! They're 20mm, and I have to say, they did an amazing job with beveling his eye wells. The eyes fit snugly and securely with the included putty with no gaps!


And here is his intended wig! These boys take size 13/14 wigs, which can most commonly be found as "American Girl" size. The wig is nice and stretchy, so it sits snugly on his head without the need for an additional wig cap.
