Here's my boy Belial in his double colored wig. ^_^ I got it from boggie0909 on Ebay! They have a few other colors too!



And a rainbow wig made my rykaan here on DoA. ^_^

I'm intersted by bicolor wig or wig with more 2 color that it might help me some if I saw some owner pictures of different wig.

I'm intersted by normal bicolor wig and by fur bicolor wig.

I've never seen any fiber wigs in more than two colors. I'm going to have to make it myself, I think. But I do have a lot of two-color wigs.

ForMyDoll will do custom mixes on request, but as you can see, they mix very evenly and it's difficult to tell the wig is a mix. The one on the left is a blue/white mix, and the one on the right is light and dark shades of blue.







Acquire is my favorite wig company, because of all the custom color choices. The down side is that they work only on a preorder basis, and it usually takes 3-4 months for the preorders to arrive. I'm currently waiting on the June preorder for four more mixed wigs.

And of course, if all else fails, just get clip-in hair extensions from your local teenybopper store and make your own mixes.

 

Oh, I love multi-colored fibers in a wig! I wish I had more of them!

I've sewn some wefts into it, but am not completely happy with this particular technique, and will likely be removing them and using the method I used in the next wig to replace them. I also cut bangs into it, as the original wig did not have them.

Luc (FairyLand Piki modded) in a heavily modified unknown brand wig:

The wig was originally the fairly even mix of auburn and black; I trimmed bangs into it, then cut sections out and threaded loose hair through the wig cap and secured it in back with fabri-tac. It came out a little too bulky, I'll have to keep working on the process, but it looks more like part of the wig than Gabriel's added wefts.

 

Both of these are very, very soft wigs, and as with many wigs, a wig spray helps with flyaways.

I've been looking everywhere for wigs that feature three or more colors. They can be long, short, funky colored or natural with peeks of color, mohair, fur, synthetic...everything and anything...please just share all of your little ones in colorful wigs. =)


I know there are people here on DoA(such as S&M) that sell wigs like this but I don't have access to the Marketplace just yet and I'm still doing research for a character.

In the past I've made several tri-colored wigs in various styles. I really like multi colored wigs because of all the attractive color combinations you can make with them. >w<

Hopefully this gives you some ideas for your character and how customizable fur wigs can be.

May I ask, how do the little ponytails in the watermelon one attach? And do you make longer fur wigs too...such as ones with fluffy bits that frame the face? ^-^ The character I'm doing research for is a nekomata and I'd like him to have a longer furry wig...and I love love love the colors you've used.

I probably won't be able to get this boy until the end of the year but I like to have everything planned out beforehand. >__<

 

The ponytails in that one are attached by magnets. One in the ponytail, the other I had sewn into the wig.

If the doll has magnets in its head already there might be a difficulty for a wigmaker to plan the correct polarity. XD;
Tails usually are tie around the waist. I'm guessing its to avoid any mixup with the polarity in dolls with fantasy parts with magnets.
You could always have them sewn into the base but it's almost two wigs in one with magnets! 83
