many other's like me would love to see doll cosplays of the characters from lord of the rings. so let's see what you guys have out there! any character will do nicely..even lurtz!! lets see whatcha got!
I have never quite managed to finish any of my LotR costumes - but here's the start of my Elladan and Elrohir's outfits. *^^* (I also have a Glorfindel in my crew (CP Yder.)
Any of the White Lady of Rohan? Or Rosie Cotton? Or other Arwens? Galadriel? Your Aragorn and Legolas look like the actors--wow! Arwen, too
Mine aren't cosplaying. I have Fingon and Turgon. For those of you non-Silmarillion-savvy people, they are the sons of Fingolfin. Fingon has the curlier brown hair and Turgon has straight black. Turgon also needs to go in for a new face up, buuuuut... there they are.
Anyone have either Merry or Pippin? I think one of my non doll collectign firends would get a kick out of seeing them!
Not from the LotR, but from the 'Silmarillon', may I? This was a joint photo-session by me and LadyPhoenix369. Fingon (Soom Obsidius), belongs to LadyPhoenix369 Maglor (Soom Chrom), belongs to LadyPhoenix369 Maedhros (Unidoll Rio), belongs to me ^_^ The characters together: My Maedhros alone:
I would love to see someone tackle the feat of making a BJD dwarf, but any more other Tolkien inspired stuff would be great to see too.
I think I can show my Elf-King here. He is not the exact portrayal of the book character, and has got his own story, but in the time of his arrival he was much inspired by Thranduil by J.R.R.Tolkien - as how I imagined him to be.
Thank you, La Prime! Your Maedhros-Rio is so masculine and handsome! Unidoll had some great sculpts for making Tolkien characters alive! The ring-mail and collar-necklace are again a piece of work, super great! *O* I even kind of envy you a bit. X))
OK, seems that Lee Pace's Thranduil from The Hobbit had a much bigger impression on me than I thought he would. X)) I have crafted a cosplay of him for Taliesyn, as soon as he is the only SD-elf who suits the role.
Splendid Thranduil, very detailed costume! It's closer to the book not film, but I like it ^_^ And I like rich dress Arwen too, the pendant take a big part in a whole impression!!!
Thank you for your comment, La Prime - that is not the final variant of his costume, maybe I will try to craft another one if I manage to find proper fabric. X) I also have the impression that leather imitation is a bit too thick for it, but that's the only material with texture that I managed to find in the fabric shops of my city. I have never found an extract how Thranduil looked like in the book (except for the part describing the Mirkwood feast in the Hobbit) - maybe you can give me a hint where to look and what book you meant? Thank you!
Azurielle, I absolutely love how your whole crew is dressed! That was quite a bit peace of work. *O* It must have taken you so much time to craft all these costumes. I'm especially amazed by Arwen and the lad in dark emerald cotta, who is sitting in front with golden belt!
Well I snapped a few crappy photos of Bilbo.... He shows off his LTFness even with giant feets of doom. And with Smaug Sorry for the blankness - I literally threw him together in a couple hours over the weekend. One hour to get the look, another for the perm feet mod. He'll get better eventually...
Bilbo went away for a while (technically that doll became Batman) but thanks to a fabulous gift from my best friend, he's back! Now with a faceup! Now he's a LTF Reni. He's not finished, and he needs real clothes instead of this outfit I threw together for the last Bilbo, but I totally love him X3 Weirdly, his feet didn't fit, so I swapped the ankles out with his old body. All LTFs are not made equal lol
