Theme Tattoos or Piercings?

My Dollzone Stramonium named Jazz recently got pierced, and I have some tattoos planned for her as well!

 

My Limhwa Mano is supposed to be covered in body scarification/branding, piercings and tattoos but maintaining tats/piercings on a doll's body are
a pain in the gut for me so I never did any of them on his body (my best-friend did a tat around his belly when I first got him 8-years but then I had
to redo his body blushing a few years ago and I never tried again). He is supposed to have snake bites in addition to all the other 13-piericngs he
currently has on his face but I didn't like how they looked over his plump lips (I might try again someday!).

My SD Paris named Amon, is supposed to have as many piercings as my Mano (on his face) but he has a custom face-up by SoulDoll, so I never gave him any.
He does have two tattoos, one on his right hand and one on his back; they were done by my best-friend about eight/nine years ago. Here's the one on his hand:



My SoulDoll Chu & Iso have facial piercings as well; they have markings around their eye area but they are not supposed to be tattoos (more like branding w/out the hot-iron).

Tattoos, piercings

Most of my tattooed dolls are in that thread - I have some with piercings too, but the only one I have a somewhat current pic of is my El, Adrien -

 

Unfortunately I can't get all of Robbie's tattoos in one easy shot, as they are on different parts of him. He has one tattoo for every one that I have, though the actual tattoos differ. I plan to give him a few more as well.





None of the rest of my crew have tattoos so far, but only time will tell. I'd love to give my surfer boy a beautiful ocean-themed tattoo.

She'll get couple tattoos too when I finally decide and get her own* body. As for now she's sharing/borrowing Luka's.

He’s not finished jet, I think he will get some more tattoos.

My Beelz has tattoos! There are bands on his legs like the ones on his arms, and his back is also tattooed.

I spent two hours time to complete the face up and the tattoo for my dolls

 

He has both ears full of earrings too but the wig always hides them. He's also supposed to have sleeve tattoos but I need to find the time to do them.





he's supposed to have more tattos too and I'm not quite happy with the one he got right now so I will have to redo everything...

Hoping to resurrect this thread and ask for some more tattoo and piercing pics of your BJDs. I absolutely love how creative and amazing these dolls look!

Also how does one go about getting piercings for your dolls? I see there are a lot of artists out there that can be commissioned for tattoos, but I haven't seen many that do piercings. Are there many people that do them? Is it recommended to just glue beads on to the resin or do people prefer to drill in to the resin? I want to get some piercings for one of my dolls and was wondering what people prefer and what my steps should be to find someone who can help me with this. Search the marketplace customization area? Do people have recommendations of certain artists?

 

All of my tattooed/pierced dolls have been done by the one customiser - AngelToast (I have one with "designs" by Krowbar). I know others who have tattoos done by VittaVera.
Depends on what sort of piercings you want done - of the dolls I have, those in their ears are usually drilled in, otherwise if they're on their faces they have been glued on, so that (heaven forbid) if they're ever changed, they can be removed. A lot of customisers will do tattoos/piercings, you just have to ask.
