Hi! ^^ Id like to see any leekwold wigs that are the "carrot" colored. I want to get a better idea of what that option looks likes. Id also like to see any other kind of reddish colored wigs please!

 

This is the L-001 on my Elf Yder, Félix. In Carrot, of course ^_^

I'm not sure the style works, but I really like the color.

Hello all!

I am looking for a certain wig for one of my boys, and the Leeke styles match pretty well.

He wears a copper wig right now - the only color that comes close with the Leeke wigs seems to be 130 carrot.

Does anyone maybe have a picture of a Leeke wig (any style or size) in that color? I would like to know if it is more orange or more copper.

Actually, #130 Carrot is more of a deeper, natural red. If you're looking for an orangey, more copper color, there's also #144 Caramel. I'm not quite sure what color you're going for though, sorry! But I do have a picture I just took yesterday of my tan boys together, and happen to have one of each of those color wigs in the photo.

Bottom left on my Cien, is an L-029A_M in #144, Caramel.
On the right, on my Scarface, is an L-104 in #130, Carrot.​

Er, you can ignore the one on the right, as that's more pink than orange (color rose gold). The one on the left is Jpopdolls Leeda long, color fire.

Oh wow My Poppy won't wear anything but orange wigs. The brighter the better. I have 3.

The site does "order periods" where you pre-order the wig style, size, and color you want, then it's made to order. You can sign up for a mailinglist that will notify you when an order period begins. I've had a couple of Acquire wigs and loved them, but they weren't the orange color, sorry.

 

Aernath's Ichigo has a pretty bright orange wig. I'd also check out CanCan wigs, they come in some pretty unusual colors.

Hi everyone!

I am desesperately seeking for a wig for my Midori. It should be more or less curled and 7-8 size but the problem is the color. I am searching for a unusual one:



This wig is from cherishdoll. They do have a MSD section but I've been told that their wigs are too tiny for Volks MSD! Besides it is not curl (but braids are cute).



Another example, a wig of a friend (thanks Michiru), unfortunatelly it came with a doll (from Yahoo) and we don't know who made it! This is Mohair, I would prefer not mohair, but since it is so dificult I am opened to all options!

Well, if you know any brand that makes a color similar to this. Or if you know someone in the marketplace is selling one, please let me know! I would be very grateful!

Leekeworld.com offers the majority of their wigs in that color.

 

Thank you o01101011 ^__^. But unfortunatelly Leekeworld doen't have this colour: Carrot is too reddish, Caramel is too golden and LightBrown is too brown. Dollga doesn't have anything like this. And the Mohair Auburn looks too red for me (but i would love to see fullwig pics, if someone has one will be very welcomed!).

Classic Majesty has a colour that's at least very similar: Gold Copper.

The trouble with Classic Majesty is that they only accept member orders, and the registration periods for new members is few and far between... CM plans to have a shop open for general orders as well, but it hasn't opened yet.

The good news is that the MSD size fits Volks MSD well, and CM wigs aren't too difficult to find on Y!J both new and used.

 

Unfortunatelly the wig i know on that color is mohair o_o but here is...

I dunno, perhaps this one is too red? It's a modded Monique Christine wig in carrot. It's synthetic mohair and very soft. It's actually a lot longer, but I hacked it up to add layers and such. It's curly, anyway. ^^;

I know this thread is a bit ancient, but I think a new one would just get merged here anyway... I'm on the lookout for a peach or pastel orange fiber wig (as opposed to fur or mohair), I've found a couple that look likely but I'd love to see what else is out there as I haven't been able to dig up much! I'm hoping for a nice pastel fantasy colour like the rest of my dolls' wigs but it seems pastel orange isn't a popular shade!

 

Any pastel or pale orange wigs out there?

I've just been having the same problem---I needed a lightish, dullish orange wig to match a certain character and went through 3 different orange wigs before I found the perfect one! (Most orange wigs I find are either bright orange, dark orange, orange or a rusty orange---none of which I wanted!)

I finally found a nice dull, 'yellow-orange' at Parabox! Of all places, I forgot they even sold wigs!

It's not blonde at all, but a dull light orange, though they call it 'blonde.' ^^;; In most of their photos, it seems really dark, but it's not in person. It's mostly like these photos:

Also, here is a picture I just took showing its color pretty accurately, though it's a tad dark. (In person, the wig is a little bit brighter/lighter/pastel-ish) My camera's flash, I think, keeps making it too contrasting:

Just a thought, but couldn't you buy a white wig and sharpie-dye it to the shade you want? It's a fairly common thing in the world of cosplay, and I imagine most doll wigs would be made of the same fiber(s) as cosplay wigs. There are a couple threads on www.cosplay.com about sharpie-dyeing.
All you would need (if I am remembering correctly) is some rubbing alchohol-70%alchohol and a sharpie. ~this method wouldn't work on a 'real hair' wig, like human hair/animal fur (if there are such wigs for dolls)

[now, don't quote me on this]
Put some of the alchohol into a ziplock baggie (or a spray bottle, there are a couple methods) enough for the wig to completely submerge in it. Then break the sharpie open to get to the ink inside. (as doll wigs are small, one sharpie should be more than enough) I get kinda fuzzy here. You either put the whole ink thing in the baggie/bottle, or you can squeze out the amount you want. Not sure.
Once the ink has mixed into the alchohol, put the wig into the baggie and let it soak for...a while. I think it's overnight or something. Then take it out, give it a good rinse, let it dry, and enjoy! The difference with the spray bottle is instead of putting the wig in a bag to soak, you would spray the "dye" onto it. (again, letting it sit overnight)

I would not suggest running out and doing this after reading my post. That is just what I remember from reading the tutorial on cosplay.com, so I could very well be missing some steps, or be horribly wrong somewhere. I don't even know if that would work on BJD wigs, as I have never dyed a wig and I don't know how certain fibers react to this method of dying. So again, DO NOT go out and try this without researching this method. I suggest going to cosplay.com and finding the tutorial and FAQ thread in their forum.
I'm going to research this for BJD wigs myself as well. My friend wants to attempt this on a wig she wants for her doll, and I just may do it for my doll as well. Anywho, hope this helps!

TsukimoriKahoko- Thanks for that, I'd actually looked at those as a possible option but the blonde name made me wonder... it's good to know they're actually orangey!

MariaRed- I have actually researched dyeing a wig, but the threads on DoA all say that no matter how much you rinse there's always a high risk of staining the resin, and once resin is sharpie stained it's almost impossible to get out (as opposed to staining on skin, which is not permanent). This is for a limited doll so I'd really like to avoid staining her!

Tille[Unoa Lusis Boy]'s wig is bright orange, it's from Mellow Melon.

 

Eva's most recent wig is an amazing little synthetic mohair wig in "carrot" from Fatiao. It's this one.
I cut and styled it, but not because it was bad before. It just wasn't the length and shape I had in mind.
The synthetic mohair is very soft and very forgiving. It brushes out smooth and styles like a dream. I love it.
It's a 7-8 (MSD-sized) wig.


This is a picture of it when I first got it, right after I'd finished her faceup (hence the eye-less-ness):

I just fell in love with this wig:



It's a Creme brulee Cut in Maple Carrot, from Switch. Sadly, they don't make 7-8'' wigs and I need this for a MNF. I already sent them a message asking about a custom order, but no answer until now, so can you guys help me? I need a wig in the same style (or straight like CRMW_13) and color.

Someone linked a cherishdoll wig here before, in the color "Chocolaet". But if anyone knows where I can find that Carrot I'd be pretty happy.

I'm not interested in mohair wigs, btw.
