Dreamhigh Studio Feedback

Nov 29, 2012

    1. COMPANY NAME Dreamhigh Studio
      http://www.dreamhighstudio.com/

      I ordered my Dragonia through Fabric Friends and Dolls, but ended up needing customer service from DHS very soon afterwards. It was entirely my own fault - I knocked her and a realpuki onto a hard floor and the realpuki landed on her leg and shattered the knee joint and lower leg piece. I don't think it's an issue with the resin - Dragonia is only 3 inches high and I really knocked her hard - but she was 2 days old at the time so I was devastated

      * What did you order? I needed a knee and a lower leg part as above - they aren't offered on the site but I emailed Donny in the hope that they could be replaced.
      * When did you order? Late October
      * How was the communication? Excellent. Donny replied straight away and though I was quite willing to pay for the parts he said he would send them for just the cost of shipping.
      * How easy was it to pay? Very easy - I wasn't paying through the site so I just sent the shipping money by paypal.
      * How long did it take to ship? A few weeks? The parcel arrived in the UK about a month later. I assume the parts had to be cast and blushed for me.
      * Were there any missing or broken items in your order? No - they were well packed
      * If there were any problems with your order, how did the company handle them? None - but given how Donny handled a problem of my own making I'd have no worries about how they might respond to an actual problem with a product.
      * Would you order from this company again? Absolutely. And though Fabric Friends and Dolls were also great, I'd probably order direct from DHS next time given how good an experience this was. I'm really, really happy with the result

    3. * What did you order?
      Pinch the Crab (with painting)

      * When did you order?

      August 2, 2017

      * How was the communication?

      Quick and prompt, until I requested a refund for something I was promised and did not receive. After some badgering through email and their "contact" form, I received only a refund, no further correspondence nor an apology.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Very simple.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      I received the shipping notice September 28, 2017. Though I bought directly from DHS, they shipped it to their dealer - DHS told me of this after I contacted them in a panic that my order was shipped to Maryland while I live in New York. After it arrived at the dealer, I had no idea where it was or what was going on or when the dealer would ship it. My order showed up at my door October 9th, over a week since DHS's tracking number indicating it had arrived at the dealer.

      * Were there any missing or broken items in your order?
      Nothing was broken and no pieces were missing, per se, but the doll was painted the wrong color.

      * If there were any problems with your order, how did the company handle them?
      I requested that the doll is painted blue. The company representative stated publicly on the forums that that is totally fine, and in an email I sent right before ordering they reiterated that a custom color request was perfectly doable. I received a red (default) crab. When I contacted the company to inquire about the error, the same representative that has said blue was possible told me that the request is impossible. I felt misled and deceived by being promised something, paying for that something, and receiving a color I did not want. After the third attempt to contact them about it, I received a refund for the cost of painting.

      *Would you order from this company again?
      The sculpture and casting are perfectly fine, but I'm dissatisfied with the service. I would not trust any answers or promises they make. They hadn't tried to contact me at any point along the production/painting process to inform me that my order could not be made as I placed it. That is simply bad service.
