How did you get him?: we won the lottery to attend the Tokyo Volks Cruise and so were able to purchase him directly from Volks. He arrived in the mail roughly 2 weeks after the cruise.
And anything else you want to tell us/History: Hanael is a bit of an enigma. He is, on the one hand, friendly, sociable, kind, and always ready to help others. But on the other hand, he is mysterious, and at times close-mouthed, brooding, and distant. Most of the time he seems relaxed, comfortable with himself and the world around him, but there is an air of melancholy that shrouds him. His presence can sometimes be overwhelming as there is something quite compelling and intense about him. Despite his youthful appearance he gives off an age-old sense of wisdom, and has been known to randomly speak of things that he should not, by any normal rights, have any knowledge of. Although he has one totally scarred eye and one blind eye, it is apparent that he can see just fine. He offers no explanations to the reasons for this, even if asked. No-one really knows where he comes from, and he does not speak of his past, changing the topic or completely shutting up if pressed. If asked about his scars, he can become quite aggressive if the topic is not left alone, and it's at times like these that he seems dangerous; he has never hurt anyone but he gives a strong impression of being very capable of doing so. However, the overall air of calm that he exudes makes people feel quite comfortable in his presence very quickly, and the consideration he shows others has had him referred to as a 'big brother' type more than once.

And anything else you want to tell us/History: Vaughn was a very talented artist studying architecture when he was injured on a job site during an apprenticeship. He lost his right eye, and much of the feeling in his right hand (his drawing/writing hand) due to the nerve damage from the deep cut on his upper arm. He dropped out of school after the accident, and moved out on his own with his settlement money, and currently shuts himself away from the world and most people. His younger brother Luke visits often though, and tries to encourage him to come out of his shell and face the world again.

Known as the Capo Crimine (crime boss) and the Godfather. Cruelly passionate and volatile, he will not hesitate to violently punish the transgressions of his underlings, although those who remain loyal and devoted to the family will always be aptly rewarded. Naturally charismatic, his capable leadership is evident to those who follow him and they regard him with admiration and respect. He also holds a degree in criminology and criminal justice from the Florida State University College of Criminology and Criminal Justice.

He works long hard hours, travels an awful lot, and indulges himself shamelessly in his spare time. He owns property in three cities and he's a crack interior decorator. Gabriel is very much the proud, confident Leo (his zodiac sign) and wears a Leo-symbol necklace around his neck that was handmade for him before his birth.

Cecile is the son of a British-born mother and a French pirate, the child of a whirlwind, elicit romance. His parents eloped to a little home by the sea before Cecile was born, and that's where he spent most of his early life. His father, Bertrand, visited somewhat frequently, but spent the majority of his time at sea, leaving Cecile to be raised by his somewhat over-protective mother.
Cecile's childhood was a lonely one, save for the periods of time when another boy would come to the area on holiday with his family. The two children, of different social classes, would often play in secret, and became fast friends.
When Cecile was eleven, his mother fell ill with consumption, and by the time Bertrand arrived to make his thrice-yearly visit to his son, found the boy alone. Faced with the somewhat uncomfortable decision of leaving his son with distant relatives whom the boy had never met, or bringing him along with his crew (now fast on their way to true piracy).
Bertrand chose the former, but found the latter rather unexpectedly thrust on him when Cecile followed him and stowed away aboard Bertrand's vessel, Le Requin Noir. The boy was only discovered once they'd been out to sea two days, and while Bertrand was furious with his son at first, couldn't find it within himself to fault the boy's tenacity.
Cecile took to sea life immediately, loving the routine of the ship, the sway of the deck beneath his feat, and the rough and tumble men that made up his father's crew.

A few days later they relisted him for 10,000 yen more and with damages to boot! But I had already fallen for him, and am pretty good at getting out wig stains. So I went for it! How many chances can you get to buy the same oneoff, anyway?

It's a bit weird for me just now because the previous one was a girl, and a young one at that. But I think he's more suited to the role. I can't see myself ever parting with him. I feel lucky to have gotten him after all!
