Fairyland RealPuki discussion - part 8

I've had the same experience! Ten days stuck in New York Customs vs delivered to Michigan the next day when coming through Chicago.

 

All the photos of these wonderful, magical realpukis are just totally awesome. It's so amazing to me how each one has such a unique personality all their own. Truly, there's just no other dolls like these. And today I'm so happy! I had enough money to pay off my Pupu's ransome (layaway) early at DDE. I've already received my shipping notice! My beloved little Grannybelle is on her way home!!!

 

MizuKi7 do it! do it! i love finding tiny stuffs for my RP (which can be more challenging considering their extra tiny size)

Ban Sidhe i always love your photos of Bug...and this one is exceptional! a flying RP

deedee71 that wig does look great. it's one of my faves for my pukis, but looks perfect on your RP (and in shock here that there is clothing too small for realpuki )

Newbjder: So glad it was only a typo! To attach photos is easy, you first have to upload your fotos to internet (with flickr, or photobucket, or imageshack) so you have a link for the photo. Then you write a post and click on the image button (the one with a little three, next to the smilies) and insert there the link!

Yoshek, Mizuki7, Summer_Elf, Loki's Mom: Thank you SO MUCH. What I love more on dolls is creating and telling stories, so your comments cheered me up a lot, really!!!! Now I am 100% sure I must continue the story I had planned for them. Sadly today I won't be able to show you their home, but tomorrow I'll have time to do the photos !!! I have so many plans for this little ones!

And now the sad part. I feel so terribly stupid. I was playing with Lemon and attempted to do something really stupid and risky. And he fell to the floor T-T He is overall ok, but the MSC and blushing on his nose are gone now, and you can see a spot lighly more yellow than reflects the light (so he ususally has a tiny white dot from the light in the point). It is not that much, and hardly noticeable by the camera, but I see it, and I feel so dumb and idiot every time I look at him... I feel terrible!!! I am never, never, never atempting to do risky things again. I don't know how to bush or make up, but I guess I could send him to a friend for a quick fix.

Thank you >.< you made me feel better. I picked him now (it all happened yesterday) abd maybe it is not such a great deal, yesterday everything seemed bigger. Even with the tip of his nose a bit yellowish he is cute as a button!

Yoshek,just wanted you to know you are not waiting all alone. I didn't count the days but I did order Jan 27th through DDE and I know they just sent out some new ones (they are very good about moving them out) but mine apparently hasn't been shipped from Fairyland yet. I ordered a BW Soso and BW Pupu, each with sleeping FP, no faceups and 2 pr of BW shoes- I wonder what the hold up could be?

In spite of that I am certainly enjoying all the pictures of the new little ones that have made it home!

 

I snagged a Popo from DDE... I'm very excited XD He should be here tomorrow, I think. His name shall be Widget! I would also love to get a Soso some day

 

Cbnloo5, and fayette2009, thank you for the Tyni spam. I really think the pictures I have seen posted here and on Flickr are so much better thank what you see on the Fairyland site of Tyni. He is adorable.

Linn G., I know I'm not alone And I'm so sorry that you still wait! Maybe it's because the order was made through DDE and not directly from FL? I order from FL. It's my second time, last time they sent her to me even a bit earlier. But not this time, apparently... I hope you'll get your RPs soon. Sleep faces - my dream, but I did'n order any. Instead, they are with face-ups - I can't do it by my own and there are no artists who make it here...
And all the cutest spam definitely helps me wait!

Thanks, Ban!! It is actually a pale green, but you are right: the eyes do match! It was a fluke that it worked out that way but I was thrilled that it did so.

That is a beautiful shot of Bug, but you always take the best photos!

Costleyhobby Yup it's Calico Critter's! It's a bit small for my pukipuki but a perfect fit for the realpuki! Plus there is a shop about fifteen minutes away that stocks it too. I have a membership there which gives me a discount

Am I the only one who feels a bit disapointed with Fairyland? I mean... come on, a definition mistake? That sounds like something they have just come up...

If they wanted to sell more Pupus (and Popos) because a lot of people were craving for them just admit your error. Something like "We've decided to reedit the basic edition since there are many people asking for them. We want to apology to all our customers for any trouble we have caused them". This would have sounded better ^^U And... only available during the events? (there is one every two-three months) why not make them totally basic? I really do not understand...

And if they were soooo afraid of making angry all their customers who had already purchased Popo and Pupu why not offer them something especial, like the chance of buying something not on sale for the other buyers? (like an outfit or limited pieces). This way they would have made happy both the future and the past customers. Would have lured the old customers in spending more. And would have made way more sense than "hey there are "limited" but to be released as many times as we want them to be (=they are almost basic)"


(Anyway I am loving the RP to bits and I am happy they make them "basic" because this means that if anything bad happens I can get them again AND it also means many happy new owners I am not disapointed for making them basic but for the reson they give us...)

 

I am not sure if FL means that Popo and Pupu will be available during all events, or only during certain ones... It's all very confusing. Best to pick them up now if you want them, but of course having the money is tricky at best =__=

 

Veligena and Sakura, thanks!!!! Hope they'll be here by the end of next week. Although we have holidays next week, so maybe not...

Maybe don't understand enough the meaningfulness of special editions, but I don't think its so significant... I bought Pupu because I loved him, not because it was a limited edition. And I think many of us had the same reason. And, well, FL are great after all, and they also are human, so they can make mistakes sometimes, right?

 

Oh, I'm completely with Yoshek...I bought my Grannybelle because I would have literally died if I couldn't have gotten her because she looks so much like my beloved and dearly departed grandmother. And speaking of my impending Pupu, tracking says she's in Tucson this morning! (Hope she makes it home today.)

 

I don't think people want to buy them because they are limited. People want them because they like them, but are anxious because they are limited so they aren't sure if they can get them in the future. FL is being unhelpful by being unclear on how their release schedule will work in the future. Of course, there is a language barrier, so confusion is understandable, but the customers are just hoping for clarification so they know how to allocate their money to get them in the future

 

I for one bought my Buckwheat because I'd been pining for a Roro ever since they first came out. I bought her when I bought her because yes, I was a little worried she would sell out again before I could nab her, and then I'd have to wait until the next realpuki event, but also because it was around my birthday and I had finally gotten the funds I needed as a gift from my family.

I understand where you're coming from as well, bronzephoenix. When Pupu was available for such a very short time and I just didn't have the money, it really broke my heart and I truly suffered from being unable to purchase her. Fortunately DDE got a couple of extra Pupus in later when I did have the funds, and I was happily able to snag one. It is very confusing that now they're available yet again without warning...and it certainly would have saved me a ton of angst and woe if I'd only known.

 

Please don't misunderstand me!

I am very happy of the re-release, actually I am always in favour of re-releases, since they offer the people the chance to get a doll their love. Neither did I purchase Lemon and Lime because they were limited >.< I bought them because I was instantly in love with those little faces!

But I had a lot of trouble having the money in time and I would not have suffered this much if I had known that I would be able to get them this soon >.< Maybe this is the reson I feel a bit frustrated with Fairyland for not having explained well... I totally agree with bronzephoenix, we need more clarification.

PoeticSoul, I am glad your Pupu is getting home!

 

With me, Pupu was instant love. I always felt like there was a little something just off in every other face although I love all the RPs, you know? So when Pupu was released and I saw it was limited, I knew I just had to get Shellbrooks!
But it was a struggle with the money for me too... wish I knew they'd plan to rerelease them!

ETA: SwivelChair, I don't tihnk you are allowed to post more than 2 photos at once? ^^ Just a lil' thumbsup.

 

Swivelchair: You did an amazing job on her faceup!!! I love how you painted her eyebrowns, just like Pupus and Popos! The superpuki pic in EPIC! (sadly yep, we are only allowed to post two photos, so I reccomed you to choose 2 and leave the others as links!)

 

Ah, okay, sorry, I'm just new to the whole actually-posting-in-threads thing, I haven't been a terribly active user until now. I'll edit my post down to two pictures just to be on the safe side. As far as I know it does apply to all the threads in the Specific Doll Discusion subforums!!! So you should edit the home for tinies aswell. One good idea instead of posting a lot of links is creating a gallery thread with all the photos and putting just one photo and the link to the gallery thread ^_^ It is what I usually do and works fine!
