Personality: Mysterious, dark, irritable, and very intense. He rather keep to himself intead of divulge anything to anyone. He's usually quiet, detatched and unemotional. These are traits he acquired from growing up with his unfortunate childhood. The people closest to him (mainly his sister) know that Jared has become like this to avoid being hurt by others. Nadine constantly urges him to release his negative energies and grudges, to become the man she knows he has buried inside. When he's inspired (either by music, a thought, book, animal etc.), he becomes curious and driven by his urge to learn more about the subject. He tends to focus only on that specific thing until he's moved on to another.
Jared is quick to get lost in whatever it is that he's doing, even at work. He gets lost in his thoughts and feelings which makes him appear distant. He has no care for being optimistic like his sister. Jared rather focus on the crude reality of life and force himself to except the cards he was dealt. He never lets himself believe that anything good can come out his life, and therefore is very bitter.

Background: Jared grew up with what you would call a dysfunctional family. He lived on a reserve in Vancouver, Canada with his two parents and older sister, Nadine. As he matured, things only got worse between his parents, and they were always fighting about anything and everything. Jared's father hadn't any respect for his mother and brushed her off to go places and do things (no doubt with other women) without telling her. Nadine would often look after Jared when things went bad (being 9 years older than him, she acted very motherly). Their quarrels began to cause Jared to behave badly in school. He began starting fights and even got kicked out in order to do community service at a local soup kitchen.
Everything came to an end when the two siblings had been told that their mother was murdered. There was an investigation that took place, only to find out that it was their own father who had committed the crime. Mr. Takoda was sentenced into prison, leaving Jared and Nadine to care for themselves. Jared was 14 at the time, and Nadine (23) had her own job. Nadine was able to get an affordable apartment for the two of them to live.
Everything took a big tole on Jared; he began to shut himself out from the world, and even dropped out of school. He kept to himself and turned very bitter. He started noticing that when he would get overly angry or excited, his body would heat up and spontaneously catch fire. This obviously posed a problem, and Nadine was the only one whom Jared told. He thought of himself as a freak and tried suppressing his emotions to control the flame.
Jared got his own job when he turned 16 to help support Nadine and contribute to the rent. He works at an animal shelter not too far from where they live, and takes care of the animals there (mostly dogs and cats). It was at this age that he met his very loyal companion, a Siberian husky whom he name Nanook.

Any additional info/backstory: Sang-Ho is part of a kpop group called Sarang. Thanks to very busy parents, Sang-Ho spent many of his childhood years in the company of his grandmother. She raised him with a sense of honor, dignity and humility. The two of them bonded further over food and music. If not for his grandmother's pushing, Sang-Ho may have never tried out for any idol groups. Compared to his fellow members, he is not quite as polished, but he is a relatively quick learner and a hard worker. When not practicing their routines, shooting music videos or being interviewed, Sang-Ho can be found in the kitchen. His cooking hobby comes in handy for feeding his very hungry group mates each day. The others in his group often refer to him as a mother hen, due to his nurturing nature. Kang loves to sneak into the kitchen and steal bites of whatever he is cooking before it is finished. In turn, Sang-Ho smacks him with whatever utensil he is wielding at the time.​
