Candace Mirwen never had much of a childhood. It's generally felt by her associates that while she was growing up things at home were "difficult", though she rarely ever talks about it. If you ask around you’ll find that no one really knows Candace all that well. She keeps pretty much to herself, working long hours, socializing minimally and only when absolutely necessary for the good of the company that she helped to build from the ground up.

She’s a hard boss to work for. A perfectionist herself she accepts nothing less than perfection from her employees. Her stinging annual “reviews” are feared by most, but valued and learned from by the wise. Follow Ms. Mirwen’s advice and you’ll go far. Cross her and it will end your career.

And take note: Never, ever, ever call her “Candy”!

Candace Mirwen is an overly responsible, mature minded, mid twenties, business executive, determined to be everything her parents were not.

Candace’s need for control and power stems from a childhood where she felt unloved, neglected, vulnerable and afraid. Now as a powerful, self made woman she claims to need no one, but in reality her cold, aloof nature is just an effort to keep her distance so that no one can ever be in a position to hurt her again.

Candace’s one soft spot is for her younger brother. With their shared, troubled childhood, no one knows her better, and no one worries her more.

One of her mother’s boyfriends, a despicable character Candace and her brother dubbed “Dirty Harry”, laughingly called Candace his “Ginger Candy”.

Any additional info/backstory: Penelope is a bit of a psychic. Uncanny ability to read tarot cards, tea leaves and can sometimes speak to the dead. She works part time at a coffee shop/used book store reading fortunes for customers. She's learned she sometimes has to "dumb things down" for people, because mostly they don't want to know the truth (she has a bad habit of saying the first thing that comes to mind). This has resulted in some interesting situations that Olivia has had to get her out of.
Between her ability to speak to the dead and Olivia's ability to read people's thoughts/intentions, the two take on extracurricular jobs helping to solve crimes and mysteries with a supernatural twist.

Her mother is a very powerful witch; her father, a high-ranking sorcerer. A little bit to her parents' dismay, Damiana is very kind and doesn't like to use her power unless necessary. She has gotten herself in trouble more than once for breaking the curses set upon others by other powerful witches and wizards. She looks gorgeous in everything she wears and doesn't really have a set style. She also has the power of shape-shifting, and in particular likes to change her body to be taller, more slender, if the mood suits her.
