History: Lenya and Tosya are not related. Both were given to an under-funded orphanage when still infants, and they cannot remember a time when they were apart. For a dearth of space, they were placed in the same cot. Lenya could not sleep without feeling even a tiny bit of Tosya's warmth, so he always found a patch of skin to touch--foot or cheek or elbow or rib. That has never changed, and Tosya, at odds with a world he views as unkind, believes Lenya lives as Hope incarnate, though he would share this belief with no one. They are not lovers as you and I might understand the word. What they share is far more sacred. Tosya would give his life to protect Lenya; Lenya would surrender his breath if he could only give Tosya a world he could cherish. Neither will ever leave the other.

Personality: Maude is some sort of monster, although no one--including she herself--knows what she is exactly. She's constantly hungry, but no matter how much she eats, she never looks like anything more than just skin and bones. Her food of choice is raw meat, and in the back of her mind there's an urge to eat the humans who she interacts with everyday. Maude likes people, though, and she knows that if she starts eating them no one will want to be her friend, so she suppresses the urge valiantly.
Any additional info/backstory: Maude works as the assistant manager of a fictional grocery store meat department. Most people are too polite to ask her about some of her more unique physical features (why are you so pale? why are you so thin? man, your teeth sure look sharp...) and the few times anyone does mention it she shuts them down with mumbles about a troubled past and personal health issues.
