Story: Lauri who was born during the early Middle Ages in a village far up north that was placed between the sea coast and the big forest. From youngest age, he was a dreamer and a curious, adventure-loving boy. He was called with the by-name Linnunrata because he loved to look at the sky at night and imagine that he could fly away and follow the Bird's Road (Milky Way). He also loved wandering around in the forest, hunting, picking mushrooms and berries and playing alone under the great trees of the northern woods. He didn't listen to his parents and the elders of his village who told him that dangers hide in the forest and that one shouldn't go there alone. It was in the forest that he encountered the spirit with whom his life was bound for centuries. After having been possessed by the spirit for a very long time, today Lauri is finally free again. His body has not changed in the time he was possessed, and he still has the appearance of a 12-or-13-year-old boy.

Story: Originally, he was a Hiisi, a tutelary spirit of a sacred forest, but he has been living in the body of a human boy for centuries. He is so old that he forgot his original name. Since he has been sharing the body with his human host for so long, he simply named himself after this human. It is a bit confusing for those who know both Lauris, but Lauri the Spirit is not in the slightest disturbed by that. Through the power of innocent love from a girl called Rachel, whose pure heart and thoughtful mind gave the spirit the energy and power to create a new physical presence, he acquired an own body and was finally divided from his host. Lauri the Spirit is a powerful, yet serene creature, which will only get aggressive when someone threatens his former human host or his precious Rachel - he sees them as his replacement for the sacred forest he used to guard centuries ago. He is also good friends with Nemil Ratibor, another forest spirit.
