Fairyland Realpuki discussion part 5

Mook and I are so excited that our Soso friend is going to be on her way home from DDE shortly! (Cricket my pukifee isn't looking forward to there being two of them though ^_~)

Just in time too... I needed a little cheering up/ happy news after dealing with all the stress from my poor little ferret being rushed to the vet ;-; Unfortunately in all the chaos I'm totally not prepared with any tiny clothing, a wig or even a name!

here's another picture of beezie in her new dress. this time with the wig i had to shrink, cut and braid. i'm much happier withit now

it's not a great shot because the only time i could get outside had really strong shadows. i need to try it again, but it needs to quit raining soon. (i'm beginning to think we got moved to vancouver when we weren't looking! )

 

Auuuugh, the waiting is so hard!! My birthday is today and I was hoping Mik would be home today. Hopefully it's soon! I ordered April 24th so I'm crossing my fingers that I get a shipping notice sometime this week!!

Happy birthday SmoteyMote, hope those of you still waiting for your RealPukis get them real soon. I can't believe the feel good factor these little critters give me.
Oh wouldn't it b great if we could really find them out in our gardens, no-one would be on DoA we would all be on our hands and knees in our gardens.
Just a warning, now I have all the sculpts in NS I am getting the urge to have them in WS too! Oh dear I really mustn't. I wonder when Fairyland will give us some new sculpts. I want bodies sold separately too so that I can use my sleep plates more.

Gill and bugs, you can sometimes find someone who only has room and/or the desire for one or two bodies, but wants all the faceplates. Then you can organize a split where you take the body and sell them the faceplate. That's how I ended up with bodies for both of my Sosos. Ban Sidhe wanted just the Roro faceplate for her RealPuki butterfly character. It was a perfect arrangement. We both got what we wanted.

I agree though. It sure would be nice if Fairyland would sell the bodies separately, or at least be willing to sell two bodies if you are buying two faceplates. So many of the characters have closed eye faceplates that don't actually look asleep because of the rest of the expression. The Sosos are a great example. Closed eye Puki Pongs don't look asleep either. Because of their lively expressions they make great alternate characters.

I've had a Roro visitor the last few days. Mr Magoo and Ms Muffet will soon be packing up their faceplates to go on an American spa vacation at Ban Sidhe's. Ban Sidhe's Roro faceplate is waiting to make the trip home along with them.

 

And I see how lovely Petal is and find myself longing for my little girl to come home. I still don't have a name for her ... Mouse is an earth pixie who loves animals so her name fits but now I'm left trying to find a matching name for my air pixie - I keep thinking Moth but that name has been used already and while common names are almost as popular as common sculpts, I'd like to find her something different. Short, simple and cute.

All my RealPukis take a break and rest like this now while I entertain my now-recovered company. Minu had a trip downtown with us though and had a lot of drinks... er... a lot of pictures taken involving many drinks Coming up as soon as I get a moment to upload them.

 

Its great to see all the new RPs in the new thread. I love seeing all the Roros. Aki and roro dont have much face time!

When I am off this week, I will have to take a picture of my Roro. She still does not have a name, but her little hats that Smilga made are just the cutest!

 

I hope it's okay that I've got two pictures here. Mr Magoo and Ms Muffet posed separately with their new outfits. Magoo's pants will need a bit of tweeking. I used a Kelly doll pattern as a beginning but the fit needs adjusting.

My boyfriend's reaction to the various Sosos: "if we had one of those in the house, I would lock it in a chest, then lock that in another chest, then bury that in the yard before I went to sleep." Then he went to detail specifically what kind of lock he would use.

I'm really starting to fall for these guys, but for now it looks like I'm stuck fawning over everyone else's.

PoeticSoul: Your tattoo for Tombstone Rose is awesome. It is perfect for her look and it must have been really difficult to get it just right on such a tiny curved surface.

Gill (UK): Such an amazing little RealPuki tribe you have there. Each one seems to have his/her own character. They must be so much fun.

Auntbear: Beezie's goggles are so cute on her. The juxtaposition of the goggles with the pretty little crocheted dress works. Seems like she is ready for some impish fun.

Aww. I hope Mr Magoo and Ms Muffet didn't hear that! They really are happy, loving little Wee Folk, but a threat like that might wipe the smile off their adorable little faces. Does he by any chance take candy from babies?

Hi I'm hoping to buy a RP Soso as a gift for my Mom and I was wondering if anybody here knew when they'd be available to order from fairyland again?

CostleyHobby: I love your RP bunch! their hats are soo cute!

 

The chair is part of a dollhouse set I bought 20 + yrs ago and was stored in my mothers garage. How some of that furniture survived I will never know. There is a bed and the vanity. I havent used the bed in a picture yet.
Again , from that time period I had needlepointed an oriental rug i bought at a dollhouse show. It was a kit Its been in another storage bin, I found it and pulled it out. The books are from a doll house store. All 7 books. We got them for Dobby, but Rasa looked like she was in the reading mode!
Oh an elfinhug bebe came in the mail today....know what they are? Well look for Rasa and baby, I think she is an instant mother. It wasnt intended for her but, man does she look cute admiring it.
I need to work on my embroidery skills, The outfit is magnificent. Its your artistic eye that separates me trying to embroider and you!!

 

one of the dads of the youngest (and cutest!) member of our local crew collects bjds with his daughter, and after the last meet he was so in love with Ahnonay... this week a soso of his very own arrived from the MP! lol finally I'm not the only fairylander in town, and Anno will have a friend to play with at the next meet :3

cbnloo5, She DOES look like a natural little mother! In the first photo they remind me of the classic Christmas nativity scene. Wouldn't it be cute to dress them up in robes with the little plastic animals all around for a Christmas card photo? Or would an elfin Joseph and Mary be considered sacrilegious by some? I personally think it would be adorable.

I've been having a ball with Mr Magoo and Ms Muffet. It will be really hard for me to send them off to the spa next Monday for their faceups. Here's new spam of each of them.

Unfortunately I once again ended up with separate pictures of them because I took one set of pictures for the crochet thread and another for the knit thread.

I am having a wonderful time with these two. A blast really! If I had know how much fun these RPs were (and had endless money) I would have bought an army of them before Fairyland put them as "out of stock". I wonder if they'll ever come up with a Coco RealPuki Soso. If they do I'll be sunk for sure. I have a super character in mind if they do.

The glasses were purchased from Raw-Kiss.com, but it seems her website is gone. The address now sends you to her etsy account and she doesn't seem to be selling the glasses there. I've sent her a message asking about them on your behalf. If you do find them somewhere Mr Magoo is wearing the size 3.

Here's how Mr Magoo and Ms Muffet have been travelling around town when I need them close by for choosing lace, yarn and such. If you are interested there is a picture of the outside of the mini lunch box on my Flickr. I lined it completely with satin covered foam pads and added a movable bolster between them so that they don't cause damage to each other in transit.

 

i agree, (and personally i am only bothered by ones that seem to be intended as a mockery of sorts, i've seen lots of nativity scenes with teddies/prims/mice all sorts of things and it's never bothered me a bit)

and miss muffet's embroidered outfit is lovely! (the others are cute too but i just had to rave a bit over the blue one)

ban another idea might be puff or aery, or tumbleweed?

i missed one day and there are too many pictures to comment on them all separately.

but i have great news. smidge is on her way! (beezie is very excited) if she gets her in the next week she can come on vacation with us. otherwise she has to spend the holidays in the post office)

somehow missed this the first time. i never thought i'd like mine as much as i do either! as to the coco soso. that would be amazing! do they have a suggestion box? maybe we could stuff it full of that request!

 

I managed to track her new site down. She's now selling some of her stuff on Etsy, but her glasses are being sold at "Le Petite Fabrique". RealPuki size is the smallest - size 3. She has some great new ones now. A huge selection of sunglasses for this size if anyone is interested.

Oh come to think of it, I've seen nativity cards with little cartoon characters too.

Great to hear that your Smidge is on her way home. I do hope she doesn't miss your vacation.

Isn't that box fantastic? Keeps them very safe. With the bolster in between the two they barely move, and if they do there is soft padding all around them anyway.

Another little one on the way. I'll be keeping an eye out for Mik's debut.

Edited to add: Auntbear, I went looking but could not find a place to make suggestions for future releases. Maybe if we chant really loud they'll hear us? "Coco Soso! Coco Soso! Coco Soso!". Gotta admit it sounds pretty catchy.

 

lol yes, that was my first enabling... it's exciting! i'm sure a few of our other members will be bringing home pukifee come christmas time... XD

It isn't hard to spoil them. The little outfits are like peanuts, I just can't stop at one. And it's so gratifying to spoil them...they have such big pleased smiles for every new gift!

Hello everyone =) I just wanted to introduce my new little Aki to you all. He finally got home to me yesterday. I ordered him in a group order and he actually arrived at the organisers home a few weeks ago but he was missing one of the ankle ball joints when he arrived so we had to wait for Fairyland to send a new part.

He is home now though and I adore him =) He doesn't have a new yet but its a choice between Etch, Calcifer and Firas.

My bunch is having a fight about who gets to go on a day trip with us tomorrow. I don't want to take more than one, airhead that I am I may loose track of them. Minu just went out with us, Attea is missing presentable hair, and Nelya's wig hasn't been properly braided either. I guess it will be Minu again, in a different outfit. Lucky little bugger!

You need a little lunch bucket carrying case like my two. Keeps them all snug and happy and they can travel in twos. Everyone knows a holiday is much more fun if you have a buddy along.

No I've two MSDs (Tania from Iplehouse and Amy from Islanddoll) and a tiny : "BJD Aï" from Groove, I love this height but she has few articulations if we compare with realpukis !

 

The RealPuki posing ability is amazing. Totally worth the wait, ZeKiwi. If they ever come up with a Coco Soso version I'll have to dive into the waiting room again myself.

 

i've been chanting. do you think they heard us yet?

 

If they have they haven't made any indication that they are moving in that direction. Perhaps we need to be louder?
