Bronwyn was born into an aristocratic family in the South of England. Both of her parents are involved in espionage, and she has much older twin siblings over ten years her senior. Bronwyn is the most lively and tender-hearted member of her family, a bright and talented girl who excels in the performing arts and has a passion for ice-skating. With her powerful imagination and strong sense of idealism, she seems both precocious and childlike at once.

When Bronwyn was 10, she was abducted by an enemy of her parents but eventually rescued by a young woman who raised her as her own daughter in a quiet cottage in the country.
