      Cain and Abel were walking late at night and saw an old chinese man on the side of a bridge. the old man told them he had free kittens but he will kill any leftover when the sun rises. Cain and Abel looked into the box and saw little newborn cat demons with paws and ears. Abel picked up one that looked scared and intimidated by its siblings but had a very sweet face and beautiful markings. Abel said he would take her and named her Arabella. when Cain asked why he picked that name Abel shrugged and said theres no real deep meaning he just happened to like the name. not to be outdone by his brother Cain looked into the box as well and saw several cats that looked interesting among them was the biggest one which was apparently the first born. he briefly contemplated taking this one in a sort of symbolic gesture until he happened to glance at the far dark corner of the box and saw the runt. he knew it was the runt and oddball right off the bat by its appearance. it wasn't much smaller in size then Arabella but you could see her ribs sticking out slightly and instead of the brown color the other cats had she had white ears and no tail. the most shocking part was she had human hands and feet, not a horrifying trait in itself but it was one none of her other siblings possessed, she looked angry she was hissing and spitting at everyone and glaring at them with eyes of hatred. it was obvious she had been abused and bullied by her siblings and mother for being different. Cain immediately reached for her, he knew he wanted to save her who else would take her, and she bit his hand hard. accustomed to enduring pain he continued to lift her without flinching and when she was eye level he calmly and plainly said "stop." surprised her bright blue eyes blinked back at him and she let go. Cain told the old chinese man he would take her and Abel inquired him of what he would name her. Cain though for a bit and replied to him that he wanted to give her a name that would be a blessing. a name that would remind her that shes not different shes special, a name that would make her strong enough to lead armies. the name of a woman he had greatly admired for her strength and kindness who had recently passed away. he named her Jeanne. Arabella and Jeanne became their assistants/pets. Arabella didn't do much aside from assisting Abel in his research whether it was fetching books in musty old libraries or helping him in his lab. Jeanne worked hard and became a strong fighter so she could help Cain in fights and because she had human hands and feet instead of paws she was far more dexterous and able to use all various sorts of weapons making her far more useful in combat then a normal cat demon could have been. she made a vow to prove to Cain that he had made the right decision by choosing her and worked very hard and was very loyal.

She never knew her mother (she died in childbirth) and didn't know that her father was anything more than her 'uncle' due to the circumstances under which she was raised.

      She has several adopted siblings and one half brother. She loves them all dearly.
