Tsukasa Oh that was Ludwig, new design head *do we suppose to talk about this when there's no official statement from LLT?

 

Sjota put up an in progress picture of the Ludwig head on the french forum Materiel Celeste here on page 11.

I think this is going to be the year LLT owns my soul. ;_;

 

I´ll totally buy Ludwig if they put it for sale on their website ;p
I really like LLT sculpts too.

 

Companies like this really need to not release anymore sexy heads. I told myself no more heads! xD

 

Well, I see no reason to be coy about it. We doll hunters are going to ferret out whatever information there is. It's what we do. ^__~

I hope he'll be released before the body is ready, since that looks like it's in fairly preliminary stages, and if not is still available separately from the body.
It's kind of a bummer that the resin colors have changed, because I know exactly what I'd do with this head, and my 2010 Roderich head perfectly matches the body I've already got for him.

 

Consistent resin batches would be so nice. I fell in love with another one
of their heads and was looking through all the posts to see if anyone said
their resin matched Dollstown/Dollshe....I'd love a Dollshe body but really
cannot have another floating head that matches nothing. Frustrating.
Ludwig looks really interesting, but I'm in love with Edria. For some reason
after seeing him I decided it would be OK that I'll never get an original DS
Bermann or Saint.

 

There's only a teaser picture of a drawing and a 3/4 view of the unfinished head, but if he ends up being like Roderich who I don't think was far off from his drawing version then I'm already sold.

I also hope he'll be released before the body, and it is unfortunate about the resin change. I have two Roderich heads coming which should be in the new resin colors so I'll be able to check it against my dollzone boy, and my dollshe boy whenever he decides to show up. Hopefully the resin won't change to much more for Edria and then Ludwig.

Edit: Lula78 the original resin color for the first Roderich run did match Dollshe oriental skin pretty closely. Whether or not this new resin will, well hopefully I'll know by this summer. I also plan on getting Edria, so I'll get to see if the resin changes again. And even if Ludwig's head doesn't match anything well he'll just be my sexy head on a stick. lol

The first batch Roderich that I have is a perfect match for Dollshe/Dollstown orientalskin, which is why I am so disappointed that the color has changed. Assuming that Ludwig's head size is about the same as Roderich's, I will be putting him on a Dollshe orientalskin DSAM32 body.

I'll be looking out for the comparison to Dollshe!

 

I did a quick babelfish translation for the text under the in progress picture for Ludwig, and as of then the head was 23cm. Hopefully that doesn't make to much of a difference proportion wise.

 

Somehow Ludwig looks so androgyny in Julia fan art, man with thick lips XD ~

 

Hmm, so a centimeter larger perhaps. Well, that's still fine for a 74cm tall guy!

I'm guessing I want him in CW naturally.

 

Yeah, it was the NS that matched. I ordered white, but they mis-shipped and I decided to keep precisely because the resin match solved my body hunting problems.

 

Thank you. Well I look forward to seeing arrivals of the newer resin heads
and the release of Ludwig. I definitely don't need more heads but these are
gorgeous.

 

Oh god, not another one... Unless he has some weird deformity that only shows from the front, it's pretty much a foregone conclusion that he'll be coming home. *my wallet cries*

This new head is stunning! I love his nose... I think this sculptor makes the most wonderful nose and I know that I want this doll too.

As far as I know that's not an LLT head. I'm not sure which company head that is though.

I love my Roderich, but Ludwig is just amazing! My gawd! Those lips!

 

Roderich is an amazing sculpt too.. I have always loved him.. and I was planning to make him my "dorian gray" (or well, a sort of reinterpretation of this character, but why i have no name , i just refer to him like this XD) before I saw and decided for a Saint , instead.. which was perfect to me.
Ludwig is amazing , cause I love his lips too and if he will really have those final look.. well, WOW!

I totally agree, I'm bit worried with his face in fan art (my own ipinion), I hope he will ended as manly men.
I've seen super thick men lips such as Hiro IOS and it makes him awesome ^^

... Gosh DARN it, LLT. *sigh* Seriously. I think I'm just going to have to set aside a separate dollie savings pile for any given thing that this company releases. I am happy that he's more open-eyed than the previous LLT sculpts have been (though dreaming eyes are lovely too), and I can't find a single feature I DON'T like about the Ludwig sculpt so far.

 

So the eyes are to be sculpted? Meaning they aren't eye balls that can be changed? Interesting....

You can't exactly match resin colors batch to batch, but this is complete undertone change from peach to yellow. That's fine though it's hard if you bought a body before and now the head's no longer a match. I'm curious to see what the body sculpt will look like too.

 

Elnuyn85 just meant that she liked the shape of the eye sculpt, not that the eyes will be sculpted into the face with eyeballs.

Back to Ludwig, I don't know, I like him in the fan art so much that I am already hunting a body for him. but I've made a promise myself for not adopting another doll this year. What should I do.
(An evil voice is telling me to use the credit for next year... )

 

Get the head, buy the body in January 2012 ^^" (i know easy to say...)
Anyway the head is not released yet and there isnt any info on LLT english website about him.
Might take several months before he is released. So you have time to think and save money.

 

Yeah I don't see him being released anytime before at least July since Edria goes on sale towards the end of May and then there's about a month of waiting for her to ship. So in the end August may be the earliest we see him, that is if LLT doesn't wait until the body's finished.

 

Why is it that the Summer always seems to be plagued with amazing releases? (At least I think it always is...)

Anyways, I'm pretty sure I'll jump on him. LLT seriously wants to make me keep coming back to them. >.> I will surely have enough by July.

 

Look at that nose! It's too early to tell if I'm in trouble but he's gorgeous. LLT is dangerous! Lol, there's not a moment in the year when we're safe from dolls.

Eros was a head sculpt that was only sold in China in early 2010. He's mentioned here in the Roderich and Vincent discussion thread.

I'm so happy about Ludwig being released in July...but so sad about Eros. He was so pretty (but so limited) - I was kinda hoping he'd see re-release someday. *sniffle*

 

July is perfect timing!
It is too bad about the discontinued heads, but silicone molds don't last forever. And if you don't have the master sculpt intact, you can't make a new mold. I suspect that's the primary reason many dolls get discontinued. So few orders are placed that it's not worth the expense to make a new mold that will also just sit around and deteriorate.

 

I actually like the fact not too many heads are released ;p
I like the exclusivity.

 

I am really hoping his head will be available separately from the body ^_^ From what I can tell on their blog, it sounds like they are implying the head is being made to go 'along' with the body. I don't know what that means though, it could just be that they are compatible. I'd love to hear more news from them about it *Still drooling every time I see that nose and those lips *

 

I really hope he is available separately! Having to buy the complete doll would really wreck my plans!
Immortality of Soul did that with a couple of dolls that I wanted and the end result has been that I've just never bought from them since.

 

I also hope the body is available separately. I'll be able to afford the head but I doubt I could afford it with the body as well.

 

I hope they are available both at the same time with the option to purchase seperately. I have such trouble making up my mind for the perfect body, I would rather have it done for me already!
