Yeah the Lalatroop hat I was lucky enough to snag on Etsy and the tshirt was a commission because I wanted it to match lol. The choco resin has become such a lovely color over time.

Oh my gosh, I can't believe I missed the start of the new thread! I've been busy catching up with schoolwork so I haven't taken any new photos lately, but I got an adorable puki-sized pink knit hat today. I wonder who it will be for?

Oh my goodness! Ami just melted my heart and made my day. I love her monkey and her doll, and my little Violet is super jealous of her cute dress.

You are right, her face up is not default. It is made by gorgeus polish artist. Her nick name on DoA is Eff17. She is super kind and in the same time proffesional

UUUUGGGGHHHHH. I'm working on an outfit for Tzi, but it's like everything is fighting me. The fabric is being annoying, my sewing machine kept getting stuck or just not leaving a seam (which means I'm now hand sewing which has a whole set of troubles on it's own...), and my cat is being SO FREAKING OBNOXIOUS.

This outfit better be worth it, but in the meantime can I get some happy spam?

 

...ok a hint on sewing for the bitty guys. Leave a bigger seam allowance..you can always cut off the extra and it doesn't get shoved down into your machine...

 

definitely agree with what spampy said.
sometimes when doing puki size things I find it easier to sews parts of it by hand, but when I am working on machine I always leave the same amount of seam allowance as I would on larger size things and just cut away the extra later.

 

I did, but it's like the motor just froze randomly as soon as I started sewing. It worked fine when I tried another piece of fabric, but as soon as I put the outfit under the foot it's like the machine just locked up. The needle didn't even make it to the fabric before it locked. T_T It's so frustrating, because usually I don't put this much effort into Tzi's outfits; I just glue everything. And then the one time I actually try to make something fancier nothing cooperates.
I'll get it though, I just have one more seam to do and then it's done.
That, and I'm hoping her boots get here soon so I can see how they look with this outfit.

two more tips...
ALWAYS make sure you have fabric under your needle. Never sew on "air"..
And always pull both of your threads through the middle of the foot and off to one side..
You want your foot to be on the 2 threads when you sew. It kind of locks it off....

 

Got both of those. I'm thinking I might just have the wrong kind of needle or something, even though I checked that it was made for medium weight fabric. I'm not really sure, I've used this machine a LOT before, and it's never done this before. :/ Oh well, the outfit's done now. I'm gonna go take some pics.

 

Does anyone have a choco puki pipi? I am thinking about getting one but have only seen the pics on dde and fairyland. AND what about the second face. What does it look like? I would appreciate any spam.Thanks.

Hi all ~

I have a question!

I entered a swap and I have to make an outift for a Pukipuki. I've never seen one in person. This one has cat paws.

I own a Realpuki who's hands and feet and connected to the body with magnets instead of S hooks. My question is if the cat paws are held on by magnets or S hooks?

Thanks for any info you can give me!

Trillian, I think this is actually the most complicated outfit I've ever attempted, and only because of the top. I'm so used to strapless tops which are super easy to make. XD
elfmoon, all the FL doll hands are magnetic (except feeple70, I think). Puki and Realpuki can share hands.

 

Take a look at Flickr...there's also a Chocopuki Love group

They are held on by magnets like all of Fairyland's magic items

ReineDeLaSeine14 Thanks for the info on the flicker group. Now I have to ask ...Is there a group for the white skin pukis? I have seen some awful cute ones here. Maybe I may need to branch out ....

Oh! What am I saying, I don't need any more pukis....but they keep calling out in my dreams.

 

I haven't checked or anything but white and normal skin are pretty common, so I wouldn't expect it. BUT, there are groups for specific sculpts which will have a lot of photos of both skintones (and choco, depending on the sculpt).

 

There might be...and I know what you mean about Puki dreams...I once had EIGHT of the little buggers if you count faceplates and such...now it's Macchiato and all the clothes LOL
