Bio: Born not long after the founding of the Ming Dynasty, Lord Jareth's ancestry is Chinese royalty but his name is not of that country. A foreigner gave it and the curse of vampirism to the child, who forever appears a young boy. He is anything but innocent, dark heart quite the evil thing with tremendous power to back up its every whim. He has learned to use his vampire senses to the point where he can "see" better than a human, knowing full well what his environment is like, even behind him. Bio: If you haven't guessed already, Corby's character is from the Vampire Academy series. She's the Daughter of Adrian Ivashkov and Clarice Sterling (She's a made up character). After Adrian is told off by a selfish Rose, he gets drunk and spends a week with Clarice, another Moroi, and Clarice ends up getting pregnant. However, Adrian treats her rather badly, and then just leaves, leaving behind only dream encounters for a short while. After Clarice has the baby, she drops the infant off on her folks in Bristol, who name her Corby. Meanwhile, Adrian has no idea that he has a child and continues on with his life, nearly forgetting Clarice as a drunken escape.
Clarice is an alcoholic and druggie. So when her parents tell her after the Corby is 1 year old, that they have contacted the Adrian about his daughter, she kidnaps Corby and disappears. For 8 years of Corby's life, she's physically abused, leaving scars all over her body, and mentally abused by her mother and any other man her mother dates. Adrian has dream encounters with her to try to find her location, but her mother is always one step ahead. When Corby turns 9, her mother dies from an overdose and is rescued by Rose.
After all of this, Corby's last name is changed from Sterling to Ivashkov, and she thinks that she's going to live with her father, but is denied that happiness and sent to live at the academy with the thought that her father never cared or loved her and she has a very gloomy outlook. She has a half sister, Sophia, that in Corby's mind, has stolen her father away from her.
The only people in Corby's life that she doesn't hate are Dimitri, who has never pressured her or forced her to like her father, who doesn't try to make up excuses for what he's done, Rorke, who is Sophia's child hood friend, but falls in love with Corby and during his finally year at the academy becomes shadow kissed by her, Queen Lyssa, who teaches her how to use her Spirit powers, even if she does try to keep her family close to her.
