Much to Ava&#8217;s dismay, Tint is particularly headstrong and refuses to follow her orders unless they are brought forward as a request. Even though they don&#8217;t always see eye to eye, Tint loves Ava dearly.

Any additional info/backstory: Ruthie will likely never grow because she keeps using her earth magic to make other things grow. Unlike her Ma, who has 'sacrifice' plants to tend and store power in until she needs it for bigger tasks, I don't think Ruthie can bear to hurt something she helped grow. In her first attempts at magic too big for her, she pulled from all the plants around her. There's a few bald spots in the yard from that.
