Clothing BJD in armour

Does anybody come across online shops selling armour suit for BJD.

If you have any photo of your BJD in armour, I will like to have a look..

It's not a suit of armour, but still armour in a way: chainmail!



(Made it myself, but a friend of mine makes them on request.)

 

This thread is old as all get out but I thought it was worth resurrecting for the sake of more dolls in armor. Kicking us off here is Lir in a brigandine vest I made, which is actually a touch too tight on him, but it doesn't show in the pic.

My Adrian wears plate armor that I hand-planished. Original stock was 24ga aluminum cut up with aviation shears, hammered in a bed of pitch that was 50% melted beeswax, 50% dry plaster of paris. Hammer I used was a ball-peen hammer.

The work on cutting his sword out of 2mm aluminum has been a pain as my Dremel keeps threatening to overheat, so he's not 100% complete.



He'll eventually have a BJD-scale zhanmadao with scabbard and hanger, and a lot of other interesting details.

Have someone made an armour for your doll? I mean something really shiny like, for example Saber? I think this idea may take a lot of effort but the result can be very rewarding too.. Had someone had this experience? Care to show some photos?

 

:3 I once saw someone who had her Beryl with the Topaz ears, in armor she made herself out of scrap jewelry. It was truly incredible. I think if you Search Forum'd in the gallery for armor you would probably find some of the other really amazing ones (like the Abadon Blue Knights fullset and the old Domuya "Dirge of Glory" armor sets).

Mylas in his leather/chain armor shirt, he's a bit of a wuss so he doesn't carry a weapon.

 

This thread is old, but there are a lot of armours available now, so I'm surprised more hasn't been posted. I have several dolls who wear armours (not all of them very practical, though) because I ljust love all the cool gear. =u=

Prisca wears Withdoll armours:


Delmia has Withdoll leg gear (and pauldrons but they're not on here):


Kilbas wears a leather pauldron and vambrace at times (by Nezumitoo):

If I could understand leatherwork, I'd definitely make more pieces myself as well.

And in keeping with the thread, here's Moira's (FL minifee Mirwen) current armor: A coat of plates, all metal bits, with a big beastie's scaley hide, over some ringmail.

If you're interested in Samurai armor, I believe some of these would fit certain size dolls.

Old pics, and his armor's not blushed, but here's my Iplehouse Claude in his Elemental Guardian fullset armor (minus the helmet because he's way too pretty to cover up that face).
