Seth wants to celebrate the new thread -- and the arrival of his spiffy new "puki tuxeudo" made by spampy!! It is incredible . . . it has little shiny bits down the side of the pants and everything!!! (his jacket is a hoody -- we can't be too formal, can we?)

I decided to take a picture of all my little ones together.. I will have to set up a group shot outside one day... Or get better lighting... and a better camera (wants SLR camera so badly~!) So here they are~ My little sleepy girl is pretty much the only one whos face plate changes between a winking and normal Sugar. I reeeeally want a Pukisha! >_<



Pong has clothes... he just refuses to wear them... :p I'll have to take another pic sometime soon though, because right after I took this I changed a couple of their clothes and wigs, lol!

 

So. I'll have the box opening which contains both kathami's Marzipan and my Teaberry but for now, this is the FIRST official post of Teaberry!

The wig is like, silk cord and double sided tape. Kathami did it first with Marzipan (who I think I'm going to call Pan half the time).



So we went out to the store yesterday and got more so I could do some too. We're going to try and figure out how to make them actual wigs.

Also, Tea's hair has a ponytail.




edit: for what I want her to grow into as I get stuff for her, I'm not 100% sure the name Teaberry will stick. We'll see.

 

SmoteyMote, I love her wig. Could you possibly make a tutorial of some kind? Tzi needs a new wig, and I like the idea of having it just stuck to her head since she's always losing her wigs now.

 

Sure thing! I'll have to ask Kathami though what the stuff we used is called specifically. We found it in the drapery isle of Hobby Lobby next to the fabrics.

My pro-tip for keeping wigs on is double stick tape. And the nice stuff, not the stuff that's already half-way unsticky. You can get it at art supply stores. It's a bit expensive but it works like a charm.

 

Yes!! A tutorial! I love it, because it's so much grown-up looking than what I have now... and Izzie is -not- a child (I don't really know what she is but she's not very keen on being treated like a kid )

Thread #11: What a perfect time to post pics of Arrietty's new playhouse:​

I got this on sale at my local Borders (damaged). It's called The Secret Life of Bears, and looks like two thick books when closed. Open it up and there's this little habitat inside! There are several (real) activity books, a stationery set & pencils, a puzzle, a slim closet, and some extra shelves and cupboards for storage of any extras you'd like to add. The "bed" Ari is sitting on transforms into a kitchen table with goodies!

As you can see: The proportion isn't quite right for a Puki. Adventurous D-I-Y-ers can probably make a nice one by gluing together two of Fairyland's wonderful "book-boxes". Most of the "furniture" is actually paper-craft, like the bed/table and the hat & treasure boxes on top of the cabinet.

I'm working on scaling down my amigurumi. right now on my Etsy I have a little purple cat, but still bigger than the dollies, but a good size for puki to hug....

working that tiny makes me headachey, so it takes a day when I'm feeling strong and daylight is good.


Twylight, my Puki are also rather insistent that they are NOT little kids. But they do LOVE dressing up.

 

I made a photostory and Vanilla is in it! Its really a message story, but I love how she looks with my Minifee Eliza!!!

Playing around with my roommie's camera because it won't focus on pics. After running this one through photoshop and beating it with a dead horse, something halfway decent came out. In anycase, I loooove this pose.

*edit: faceup is me playing around with the leftover paint from last week's project. Gonna wipe it off when I get a chance to do a real one. lol.

Just dropping in to say hello to you all! I just ordered a Pukisha and I already can't wait for him to get here! I've been enjoying seeing everyone's photos, and thanks to you all now I want one of each xD !

Kathami and Smoteymote- I was actually thinking of doing something similar wig-wise for my soon-to-be puki, but instead perhaps sewing/latch-hooking the thread through tulle or some other net like fabric? I'm not sure how well something like that would translate into Puki scale, but I think I'm going to try it once my Pukisha gets here.

 

Congrats! Let me know how that works out! I know I'm trying to create a removable version!

So, Kathami and I are messing around some more. She's sewing some wigs and I'm making clothes. I also totally destroyed Teaberry's wig when we went out today. So I stuck some new threads I got on her head and slapped Cey's hat on to keep them from looking silly. Or sillier than she looks now. Anyways. Enjoy!

the classic columns, are a windowsill! My friends' have a house built in 1885,
it makes a great setting for photos of humans too.
