i have had 2 transactions with Spiritdoll, both a terrific experience.

WHAT DID YOU ORDER: a NS boy body, and a special Gray female body, part of a GO
WHEN DID YOU ORDER: the boy body 6/09? the Gray body 8/09
COMMUNICATION: Spiritdoll is very prompt in replies, i had no problems
EASY TO PAY? yes, paid by paypal, leaving a note on their order board forum with the paypal transaction number, as they requested, no problems there
SHIP TIME: the male body took about 3 weeks, the gray body 2-3 weeks, very prompt... shipped as promised
DID ITEM LOOK LIKE SALES PICTURES: yes, even better IRL
COMMENTS: i highly recommend Spiritdoll, both as a great company to deal with, and for a great product. they seem driven to provide good customer satisfaction. the dolls are well made, and perform wonderfully.... i would not hesitate to deal with them again in the future....

When did you order:I think the week of halloween, if not a week before.
How was the communication:There really wasnt any. I know these things take time. I ordered and paid and waited.
How easy was it to pay:Made the order, left a message on the board and paid with paypal. Pretty easy.
Shipping:He shipped pretty quick...2-3 weeks, but then the shipping itself was...two weeks for EMS shipping.
Quality: Resin is really nice, body poses rather well...love the optional parts >_<
Did the item look like the sales pictures:Yes
Comments:My order shipped the 5th...and i was only able to get information on the 7th, and then nothing, and i waited, cause typical EMS is 3 - 5 days for shipping. But this ended up taking two weeks to arrive, and when I contacted her about not being able to track it, and what was a normal wait on arriving, i didnt hear anything from them. I checked the next morning and it was through customs and at my house.

How was the communication? Good, they always replied within 24hrs of emailing them.
How easy was it to pay? Easy with paypal.
How long did it take to ship? Two months. Supposedly it was held back because the clothes are made to order.
Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Body yes, clothes not really. The shirt wasn't very good quality at all, but coat and pants were nice.
Did the item look like the sales pictures? The body did, but the shirts included with the outfit was not what was pictured (I got a white shirt instead of black, different design too)
Were you satisfied with the product? Body yes, outfit kinda
If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? Didn't bother chasing it up.

How was the communication? Ok in the beginning, later, when questioning about shipping date and why the tracking wasn´t trackable for almost one week I had to mail twice and in the end to threaten with a Paypal claim to get things going.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Of the doll and bust piece, yes, the dress, no.

If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? I didn´t contact them about it, after the previous experience it isn´t worth the hassle. But I will keep it in mind for the future.

Definitely, Jade had the sculpting and finish of a much higher priced doll. The head is a touch small but overall I'm very happy with her. The body is superb, with nicely detailed hands.

* How was the communication? They answer mails/guestbook/forum slowly or very slowly, and I got the shipping notice *after* I got the doll. But they followed all my requests perfectly, so, they do read and take into account what you ask them for.

* How long did it take to ship? A month and a half approximately
* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes, more than that! A grey resin fullset for 589 USD - that's realy cheap!

* How was the communication? a bit so-so in the beginning, but after a few weeks their communication picked up and since then even with issues reply's have been with in a few days.

* How long did it take to ship? 6 weeks even with Chinese new year during that time.
* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? very much so!, i really do love this boy. he poses pretty well and is very beautiful!

* If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? i contacted them about the bag, they offered to replace it, and when a new shipment of bags arrived i was sent a new bag. (the new bag is much better than their old bag)

* What did you order? Blank NS Jade head (it was originally tanned skin, but I changed my order)
* When did you order? I paid on June 18th, but payment was confirmed on June 23rd.
* How was the communication? I tried to get in contact a few days after confirmation to change my order (from TS to NS), and successfully got a hold of them about two days later (I left messages in the Guestbook, BBS, and e-mail). Communication was good and I was answered frequently and clearly. I know they don't do refunds (NS is less expensive than tanned skin), so I asked them if I could get a wig instead to offset the cost of changing the resin colour. They said it was fine and they had no problem in doing so.
* How easy was it to pay? Easy, via Paypal.
* How long did it take to ship? I was surprised as I didn't receive a shipping notice, but she came in today! She was sent out on July 10th (according to the postage) and arrived on July 14th. This is the quickest I have ever received anything via EMS China (usually takes around 5-10 business days), so I am shocked! She arrived 15 business days from the day I received my order confirmation and was shipped in under two weeks!
* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes! She is stunning! The wig is really nice quality as well!

A little slow at times, but it was very easy to add to my order, and they were very polite, and easy to understand. They replied both on their site, and through email without problems. They also emailed me with shipping confirmation, and the tracking number without being asked.

* How long did it take to ship?
Only 4 days! They shipped my order on August 19th.

Absolutely! He doesn't have a seam in sight, and everything is in perfect condition, from the bag to his hands.

When did you order?
March 24 on layaway, finished paying May 17 (and that was the day they begun casting).

How was the communication?
Pretty slow reply on the forum, guestbook, and email.

How easy was it to pay?
Easy. Sent money through Paypal.

How long did it take to ship?
Shipped out on July 4. Arrived July 12.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Pretty good quality. The body is impressively sculpted.

Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Not really. The lips are painted a lot more faint in real life, and the eyebrows are also painted a lot closer together, and much darker.

Were you satisfied with the product?
Not quite. The head is a different skin tone (looks to be WS) than the body (NS).


If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
I didn't notify them of it as I figured it was a long enough wait and that I could live with the flaws (love her despite all of them).

I'm leaning towards no for now.

Hit and Miss. At one time it took Spirit over two weeks to confirm a layaway payment. But they always did reply in the end. I also requested to change Cycas from white to normal skin midway through paying off the layaway and they did so happily.

The cc and non cc paypal address comes off as a bit amature, but it isn't difficult to pay.

* How long did it take to ship?
Almost exactly a month

Yes Some quibbles with the face-up but nothing overly negative.

Yes, and better in some ways

How was the communication? Sucked. They didn't say anything at all and only acknowledged me when I asked if there was any problem with my paypal payment, and then they only changed my status from "pending" to "paid."
How easy was it to pay? Very! Paypaled the money and was done.
How long did it take to ship? I ordered Tatsuha's body on March 9th, and got it April 30th, for a total of 53 days, WAY sooner than I was expecting!
Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? DEFINITELY! He's BEAUTIFUL and the optional parts realistic!
Did the item look like the sales pictures? The pics don't do this body justice, he's WAY more gorgeous IRL!

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? The doll is good but the make up I paid for had overspray on the chest stencil and the faceup is not symmetrical. The wig was also incredibly fuzzy and unusable - not nicely curled like in the photos. It was only good for the bin. I managed to clean up the chest, I wiped the face up and redid it and I replaced the wig with a better quality one.
Did the item look like the sales pictures? No. The painted heart was twice the size of the one pictured.The clothing was well made.
Were you satisfied with the product? Overall I am happy with the base body but I wouldn't pay for a face up or wig again
If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? I emailed the company and they said sorry about that. I emailed them back and asked if I could receive some credit back for the poor painting at least and heard nothing back from them since. I also posted on their board and they didn't answer either. I don't think I will deal with them again

At first they didn't take too long to reply, but after a while they took longer to respond.

Very simple, you send them the money through paypal, though I wasn't aware beforehand that they charged paypal fees.

I think it took around 7~8 weeks.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes, the seams are sanded down is is lovely and the body poses well. I like the way they sent the doll with the thick pillow and doll bag.

Yes & no? lol. After a few weeks from when I had placed my order, they updated the body. After comparing photos I noticed they sent me the new one which was nice of them. So I guess No in the sense that I was expecting to receive the older body but otherwise the body I got looks like the photos on site.

How was the communication?
They marked my status as paid on February 19 on the site, and sent me a notice with tracking number when she shipped. Since I only contacted them to send my own payment confirmation, this was all I actually needed, so for me personally, it was good - however, I do still wish to note this doesn't seem to exactly be common practice and their communication tends to be a bit more... sporadic.

How was the communication?
Well, the only contact I needed with them was when I put in my order, and they changed my status to "Paid" rather quickly. They didn't email me a shipping notice though.

How easy was it to pay?
About as easy as it gets since I used Paypal.

How long did it take to ship?
It arrived on April 26, so... about two and a half months.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Heck yes. I've heard their clothing wasn't that great, but the only complaint I have is that the button on the jeans bends. Oh, and definitely wash any dark clothing! <-Not a complaint, but needs to be said.

Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Naw, it's even better because it's right next to me.

Were you satisfied with the product?
Yes! Unfortunately, the body is a terrible match for my head (which is older and from a different company), but that's another story~

Pretty spotty for the most part. My questions were answered eventually, but they seemed only to respond if there was a crisis.

How easy was it to pay?
Pretty easy, through PayPal. I didn't realize at first that you had to also sign their Guestbook to say that you had paid, so I don't know when my order was actually received (when I paid, or half a week later when I signed). It didn't seem to matter very much, in reality.

How long did it take to ship?
It took 13 weeks and a few days to ship, and a week to travel to me. I got a tracking number from Ying on May 23rd, received it on May 30th.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Absolutely.

With the body, yes; I also had ordered a pair of boots for my gf's doll, and when I inquired about when my doll would be shipped I was told that he was ready, but the boots were sold out. I am not particularly pleased that they went out of stock after I had paid for them. :/

It arrived unexpectedly March 20, so two months. Not bad, for Spiritdoll, but there were issues with the order that took longer to resolve.

Frankly, I was disappointed, as I'd heard nothing but good things about Proud bodies. I've had to do a lot of work to make it satisfactory.

No. It was missing one of its optional parts, and it had been soaked through, making everything smell of mildew. It took weeks of airing out to make the smell go away.

I contacted Spiritdoll about the missing pieces right away, and numerous emails were exchanged before the missing pieces finally showed up unexpectedly the first week of July.

Good, actually. I posted my order, order number and payment date in the Guestbook and got a confirmation quite soon. When my order was shipped, I received an e-mail with a tracking number.

Easy, through Paypal. However, to avoid Paypal costs I had to transfer money to my Paypal account and send the payment to one of two Spiritdoll accounts. It's a bit of hassle, I guess, but it all worked fine.

How long did it take to ship?
Only a month! I was pleasantly surprised.

It's not cheap, but it is a beautiful body and it poses very well.

Yes, it certainly meets my expectations.

The response time was always rather fast.
As I also lost my original invoice due to mailing problems, I had to ask for it again for customs, and only after 3 mails they were able to send me a copy.

For my Dark, 4 years ago, I had to pay 175€, for Pyrus 122€
the first time I thought it was just bad luck, but they have problems with declaring the content and value of the package.
I remember that my Dark was valued at 10$ and Pyrus didn't even get a value.
Customs people might be easily fooled, but they are not stupid :s

How was the communication?
Non-existent. I never received order confirmation, payment confirmation or shipping emails from the company. The only way I had any clue regarding my order's status was checking their web site regularly... I really can't recommend ordering from Spirit Doll if you're one of those buyers who's only satisfied with constant communication and a lot of hand-holding. They don't seem to work that way.

How easy was it to pay?
Very. I paid in full when I placed the order, using PayPal.

How long did it take to ship?
Just over three months.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Absolutely. The dolls are both gorgeous and arrived well-packed and in perfect condition.

The sculpts themselves did, and my Ulmus' faceup was pretty close to the one pictured. My Olea's had some... unusual... color choices, though. (TEAL cheek-bone shading on a brown and red-toned face-up, guys? REALLY? o_O) It's in the same style as the pictured one, but the over-all look just isn't as nice thanks to the boldness of the blue.

Were you satisfied with the product?
Over-all, I am. I'll eventually have to replace the Olea's face-up but that's just a matter of personal taste. Another owner might just as easily love the teal cheekbones.

If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
I didn't have any serious issues to sort out, so I can't say for certain how they would have handled that... But given that they never sent emails re: any OTHER part of the ordering process, I doubt they would respond to emails about problems quickly.

Would I buy from them again?
I would. I'm impressed by the over-all quality of the dolls... I'm considering adding a Dolce Campsis to the crew at some point.

Almost non existent. After I had paid the body in full (on the same day I've put up my order) the status on their website was "processing" for three months and no updates. After three months I first contacted them and asked about an update, they answered in English and said that the body should be shipped soon. So I waited but nothing happened... After three more weeks I asked them again about the status of my order and they said that it should be shipped soon. Ugh.
Three days after their reply I received the package with the body! The status on their website changed to "shipped" and they sent me the tracking number ca a week after I've already received the doll. So I'd say the communication isn't very good but at least they do reply to your emails.

How easy was it to pay?
Very easy and comfortable; I paid in full when I placed the order, using PayPal.

How long did it take to ship?
Almost four months!

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
The quality is amazing, no complaints! The body has a very nice white color and absolutely no seam lines. The Smart girl body is by far the best poser in my collection!

Yes, definitely. The sculpt of the body (especially the hands) is very delicate and full of details.

But tbh I doubt that a company who doesn't send out the shipping notice on time and seemingly replies with generic answers (body will be shipped soon, thank you for your patience) would be of great help in case there are problems.

Actually I did buy from them again After I've received the body I was so impressed with their resin quality and sculpting work that I ordered a Smart head sculpt including face up in white skin. Hopefully the resin will match!

What did you order? Olea with faceup in tan skin, two wigs (Olea wig, and WD104), and the "8234" tall laced boots. The Monsieur Lapin head was free w/ event.
When did you order? December 6
How was the communication? Not great. First, my order wasn't listed as confirmed until after I emailed them two weeks later. (My paypal email is different from my registered email, and I think that was the cause.) They did respond to the email in two days. They emailed me Dec. 30 to ask what color skin/ faceup I wanted for Monsieur Lapin, and replied to my reply three days later. I contacted them through their web site after about five months to check the status and got a really standard form reply in two days, addressed to "dear customer". I contacted them again two months later to check again, and never got a reply. The doll arrived 11 days later with no shipping notice whatsoever, and status was changed to "received" the next day. I had been checking my user page on their site in case they updated the info there without any email, and while the status on "my order" never changed, at this moment "tracking packages" leads me to an option to connect to China's EMS. It sends me to a page error, in Chinese, and I don't know if that's because the packaged already arrived two weeks ago, or because the tracking number embedded in the link is wrong, or if there is no tracking number embedded in the link, or.....
How easy was it to pay? Easy.
How long did it take to ship? Six and a half months. She came June 21.
Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Great. The seam lines are all sanded, the faceup is beautiful. The carrier isn't as smelly as I worried it would be. The wigs are both lovely.

Spiritdoll doesn't have any pictures of Olea in tan, and I haven't been able to find anywhere on the Internet (searching in English, Japanese, or Chinese). I was a little worried that they would use the same faceup as they did for the sales picture, but they didn't (the lower eyebrows aren't as pronounced, for instance, and I don't see any of the teal color that people complain about in Olea's default makeup), so not looking the same is a plus for me.
Were you satisfied with the product? Yes. Except maybe the boots; she can't stand well in them, even though she's super solid barefoot.

What did you order?
Spiritdoll Grace 65cm boy body (3-part torso), with colour matching. They offered two choices of resin type (standard that is more opaque, or imported resin that's a bit translucent and costs a bit more), and I picked their standard resin.

When did you order?
June 2025, direct from Spiritdoll's Taobao store.

How was the communication?
I communicated extensively in Chinese with Spiritdoll's customer service via Taobao's DM system. I was able to organize colour matching to a physical sample -- Spiritdoll provided a shipping address, I bought some resin option hands off Xianyu (China's secondhand market equivalent to eBay) from a private party, and arranged with them to ship it directly to Spiritdoll's address.
Spiritdoll's CS was communicative and responsive - they were cooperative, answered questions promptly and explained things whenever I felt unclear.

How easy was it to pay?
Payment was made directly through Taobao without issue (I'm familiar with buying direct). I paid for this doll through a deposit/balance method, Spiritdoll CS guided me through this process and showed me which of their listings to select.

How long did it take to ship?
Production time was 1.5 months. I placed my order on 22nd June, Spiritdoll received my physical sample on 27th June, they shipped the doll to my shopping service warehouse on 9th August.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes

Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Yes, but Grace boy's measurements provided by Spiritdoll on their Taobao page were inaccurate. My doll ended up not being 65cm tall as I expected, but 62cm tall instead.

Were you satisfied with the product?
No, for two reasons:

(1) The colour matching was decent but not excellent. Compared to my resin sample (from Switch/Humming Dolly), Spiritdoll's colour matched resin looked more flat and dull, as if there was too much white in the mixture. However, colour perception is subjective, so I was willing to accept this resin colour. In retrospect, I probably should've picked the imported resin type, so that was my oversight.

(2) I bought Grace65 boy for a hybrid (to Illusion Garden Johan). I was expecting my hybrid doll to be 65cm tall, which was advertised on Grace65's product page and its official measurements. My hybrid ended up being 61-62cm tall. I used the measuring tape on Grace65 -- all my measurements checked out with Spiritdoll's official measurements, except the height. Compared to two other known 65cm bodies (Volks SD17 boy and Doll Family-H 65cm boy), this body is shorter than them.

In short, Spiritdoll provided inaccurate official data, so I ended up with a doll body that wasn't the height I expected. I was expressly looking for a 65cm body, not a 62cm one, so I found the Grace boy body to be unsuitable for my hybrid. I'd done my due diligence including ask another doll owner on DoA to provide photos of their Grace boy. So I'm disappointed that my research was based on flawed data, and didn't realize until I received the doll and measured it myself. I've sinced confirmed with the other Spiritdoll Grace owner that this doll is shorter than expected.

On 5th September, I sent my feedback and comparison photos to Spiritdoll via Taobao DMs. They said they would check measurements with their own doll heads, but as of writing this review, they haven't replied to me. I may send more feedback of my comparison photos of Spiritdoll Grace and Volks SD17, and ask them to adjust their official measurements on the product page. I don't expect to receive any compensation from them, so I'll try to recoup my costs by selling this body.
