      Quite possibly the best among doll companies! You can add Angell Studio's Lily on MSN and chat to her in real-time about your order. Being able to chat with her made it easy for me to make changes to my order (and I made several across three months).

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Very easy. I took the layaway plan. Before I made each payment I talked to Lily who gave me the total amount I needed to pay.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      After I completed my layaway he was shipped right away and he arrived 3 days later! That's a record!

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Oh yes! I'd even say they deserve more money for what I got. My doll is beautifully tanned with no seamlines. The 3-piece outfit set was 90USD and it was gorgeous and even came with a necklace! To me the outfit looked like it should be more than 100 USD.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Better in person, I would say.

      The most satisfied I've been with a doll product

      Definitely! To be honest, I'm not a big fan of all their sculpts but I'd order from them again just for the pleasure of talking to Lily and acquiring their services. And that is saying a lot! Angell Studio does everything; custom faceup, custom tattoo, jointed hands, body blushing. Their dolls come in 4 or 5 different colours. They're amazing!

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand?
      I would prefer first-hand. Like I said, it's not really the doll sculpt I'm after, it's the marvelous services they provide. I recommend everyone to order from this company directly!

      * How was the communication?

      Good. Lily, the English customer services rep, kept me promptly updated on each stage of my order – which was a relief, as the website ordering system isn’t set up very well.

      * How easy was it to pay?

      Initially, confusing. The website accepts the order and it appears you can pay right away via Paypal – but clicking on the link brings up an error message. You need to wait for Lily to email you an invoice; she will add on the shipping charge (via TNT, rather than EMS, but just as expensive – shipping for my clothes order was $25). Buyers should also be aware that Angell-Studio charge a 3.5% Paypal fee.

      * How long did it take to ship?

      My package was shipped on March 13th – four days after my order. I received it on March 17th.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?

      The clothes sets were moderately expensive (both around $80), but they seem nicely made and come with lots of parts (hat, shirt, jacket, trousers, socks). The shoes (around $20) are good quality.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?

      Pleasingly, yes.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?

      With the clothes, yes. I love them! My only niggles were having to pay the Paypal fee, and the packaging used to send the parcel – having spent over $200, and $25 on shipping alone, I expected to get the clothes in a box, rather than crammed into an airmail envelope designed for letters. Luckily, everything arrived intact, but I wasn’t very impressed.

    5. When AS released 'The Legend of General Huaxi' I jumped at the chance to order the Dragon Spear from the limited accessories.

      I ordered via email, and after a mix up - I was send someone else's order info - I received confimation of my order. I paid via paypal. I got a confirmation of postage email with pictures of the spear and a link to track my parcel. The link didn't work - strike one.

      My package was delivered this morning. I paid for EMS shipping, which was almost as much again as the spear cost - opening the courier bag I found a black postage bag with the end of the spear shaft poking out. The bag had been clumsily wrapped with clear tape into a lumpy bundle - strike two.

      Anticipation turned to dissapointment. The spear was wrapped loosely in a layer of bubble wrap and the spear shaft was broken cleanly in two. The spearhead and end had also been very sloppily wrapped together, causing rub marks on the sliver painted blade. There was no indication on the bag that the contents were fragile - the spear was bundled up and sent - strike three.

      While I'm pleased with the spear itself - made from heavy resin and pained a bright gold then aged, the dissapointment of finding a broken item poorly wrapped after paying so much in postage will make me re-think about buying from AS again. I have contacted AS and when I get home I will take some photos for this post.

    9. I've been in email contact with Teresa over the past couple of days - she has been very sweet and keen to fix the problem. Today I received an email saying that the spear shaft would be replaced with no cost to me.

      After re-reading the above post I'd like to say that my dissapointment was speaking that day - I'm happy with the spear itself and happy that AS has taken the time to look into what happened.


      25/05/10 EDIT: the replacement shafts arrived today very well packaged in a cardboard tube and smothered in bubblewrap. Many thanks to Teresa for all her help. I am now a happy customer!

      Pretty easy - just wait for the e-mail and they will tell you how much and give the e-mail address to make payment. (They add price of PayPal fee - be warned!)

      2 months (shipped May 13)

      Better than, maybe, even. Wonderful quality for the price. :3

      Pretty close - the faceup ended up being a little less heavy (but I actually like it better this way ^^). The body looks even better in person than it does in the company pictures!!

      * How was the communication?
      Excellent. They normally replied within 24-48 hours. Teresa was also wonderful and sent advanced pictures of my order so I could see the resin match before they shipped the body out!
      * How easy was it to pay?
      Payment was easy (Paypal) but it would have been more convenient if AS had a module installed on their shopping cart to calculate shipping right when you order (instead of them having to send an email with the total later). Not terrible, but a little inefficient.
      * How long did it take to ship?
      They were able to ship about a month after they received the sample part I sent them for matching purposes. This was exactly within the timeline I was given. He came in a nice, little zippered pillow, just like my Soom baby.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      The price was... acceptable. Getting a custom-matched resin color cost $80 on top of the cost of the body (plus $30 to EMS them the sample part and $30 return shipping on my order). That is - I suppose - just the thing you have to deal with when you love exotic resin colors like gray.

      The resin matches perfectly and is wonderfully smooth, not a seam-line in site. I paid almost as much for this body as I did for my Soom Bygg and that doll still has seams!!!! The 1/6 senior boy is a little larger and chubbier than the svelte Soom body. I thought the proportions would be more similar (the measurements on AS site gave that impression), but I'm not disappointed.

      With exception of the resin color - yes.

      Definitely! He's adorable and I'm so glad to have a body for my other gray baby.

      It shipped on 6/2/2010 and arrived on 6/5/2010 (a Sat.) Pretty fast I'd say.

      Yup!

      The eyes and headphones were exactly as pictured (the headphones work too)
      The clothes do as well, except the little crosses looked silver in the picture and they are gold (bronze), which is fine as they match the chains better. Also the stockings look different than pictured. However, it did come with underwear, which wasn't even mentioned on the site as part of the set. So all in all I'd say it's certainly a good product.

      Yup! (Though, I'm still waiting on my E-an so I hope it all fits. >.<)

      There were no problems.

      Maybe, but not because of the company, I'm just picky about pre-owned stuff. I like getting it new.

      Excellent! There was a problem with the website and it wouldn't let me register nor order, I emailed Angell Studio and Lily got back to me straight away. She registered for me and took my order via email. She was very prompt with the emails, very helpful and very nice.

      The only time that I would say the communication was a bit slack is with updating me on my order's status. They had a problem with a promotional CD that they included in the package and the shipping of my items was delayed and I was only informed of it after I emailed them enquiring on my order's status (although, I did receive a reply the next day).

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Easy, using paypal.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      I ordered on 16/01 and items were not sent until the 28/01 and then I received them with in 3-4 days.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Definitely! The outfit is absolutely gorgeous, it is so well made and the material used is very nice. I love the boots and I think they are way cheap for the quality (but I'm not complaining :) )

      With my order they also included a promotional CD, a little stuffed toy and an Angell Studio calendar, which is very nice.

      Communication was excellent. I initially communicated with Lily asking about the dolls and then with Teresa after I ordered them. There was a problem with my email accepting emails from China and Teresa tracked me down on den of angels and PM'd me there to be able to discuss order details and to send be pictures of my faces to make sure I liked them. I ordered right before their new web site went up and I think this is what caused the email problem. Once Teresa found me she sent emails through den of angels and to my regular email and I would get both.
      It was the best service from any company that I have ordered from.:lol:
      Payment was through paypal and very easy.
      Quality was excellent. These are beautiful dolls. The resin quality is flawless. The clothing is also very well made. The dolls look like their pictures. They pose very easily - like their pictures!
      Satisfaction Completely satisfied by the product, communication and ordering time.
      Order again - Yes I would order again from this company. I prefer to buy directly but would but products second hand if available from a reliable seller.

      Communication was wonderful. They personally contact you, and always reply within a business day. Teresa is really sweet and great to deal with. I'd asked if it were possible to have the neck sanded down to be smaller (from 11.5cm to 10.5cm), and she looked into it for me and said yes. Later she realized the neck was already 10.5cm, as the body was newer now but the measurements hadn't been updated on the website; she immediately let me know and gave me the option of refunding the money I'd paid for the mod, or to pick out some other merchandise from the site. When the total of the things I'd picked out ended up being a dollar more, I offered to pay the difference, but she told me not to worry about it. Overall, it was a lovely experience.

      Extremely; I used paypal.

      Arrived 6/19/10

      Definitely.

      More than satisfied; the body is absolutely perfect for what I needed. I bought it as a body for my Minimee, and the fit, proportions, and resin match are all virtually perfect. It poses beautifully and it's really nicely sculpted.

      Approx 5-6 weeks I think.

    26. I had a wonderful experience dealing with Angell Studio. I ordered 4 mannequins, which came quickly and are just wonderfully made. I was able to email back and forth with questions....I would deal with them again in a heartbeat!

      Excellent! Before I placed my order, I asked a LOT of questions. Teresa was very friendly and helpful and always replied within 24 hours even though she was probably swamped with my endless emails lol. She even accomodated my requests and took some photos of Yuma with a few wigs so I could see how he looked with different wigs and pick my choice (I wasn't really expecting her to do it when I asked). Before he was shipped, she also emailed me some photos of the package. It is not something you would see many other companies do and I really appreciated her willingness to go that extra mile. This is a company that builds rapport with their customers one-on-one on a personal level. It's amazing, to say the least.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Yup, I paid by Paypal so it was a breeze. I just send the amount to them once Teresa emailed me the final payable amount including shipping and paypal fees and emailed her back once it was done. She immediately processed my order.

      Ordered on July 12; he was shipped out on 9th August. So it took slightly less than 1 month.

      I have 1/3 dolls with diffrent size details and I had to rear the descriptions exactly. The sizes are a bit diffrent from SD13 sometimes. Teresa answers all questions very soon and the communication is easy and very nice.

      I never had any problems with payment or delivery. Shipping was very fast both times.

      One thing I want to point out: All the items are lovely and absolutely beautiful. It's amazing how obsessed about they are to all the little details. The quality of all products is great. For sure I'll visit this shop again ^^

Today, I received the most gorgeous dolls from Angell Studio, I got one of the couples Cinderella and Andrea (they are going to be renamed) and also received the most adorable 5 in doll as a gift, Little Miss Anna, I only ordered these dolls on Sept 1st, and already received them, but not only that, they have the most WONDERFUL customer service! After I ordered, They emailed to thank me for my order and to tell me that I was getting the free little doll, that I had no idea I qualified for, then they kept me updated on their progress, emailing me several detailed photos of their faceups and each doll, making sure it was ok, Then emailed me the tracking number when they were shipped and asked me to contact them when I received the dolls to make sure I was satisfied with them. Now this is true Customer service! If anyone has ever thought about Angell Studio dolls before, I highly Recommend them!! And also when I opened the box it was instant love for all 3, even without eyes and hair, and that does not happen very often for me, lol!

      Mostly good. There were a few times when Teresa responded slowly. Usually weekends, but there was one instance when I sent something on a Wednesday night and didn’t get a response for days, so I resent it that Saturday and got a response the following Monday. Another part of communication that went off seems to be when I asked for hot pink eye shadow for my Leira. Instead, I got pinker lips, but she’s still pretty. I’ll commission another person to give her a new faceup someday.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Confusing. After I got an email saying everything I needed it all cleared up. The site doesn’t say anything about how much shipping is, so I had to wait for an email.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      About a week. They shipped her last Monday and I got her today, which is a Wednesday.

      Yes. The dress is absolutely gorgeous, the headphones WORK and Lo herself is SO POSEABLE. There isn’t a seam on her anywhere either. The fox ears and tail are also made out of rabbit fur, and they’re so soft.~ Also, the wigs fit snuggly and, though they're a little hard to get on, they don't slide around at all. I really enjoy that.

      I was sent the pictures along with tracking number on the 6th of December, so less than one month.

      Yes. I was surprised to note that they had added kips on all the joints! Certainly a first for me. Also, the body is completely sanded, something you don't see often from bigger companies (apparently having a smooth doll is not your right unless you pay for it). The quality of the resin is wonderful too.

      Great. Sacci responded to all my questions very promptly and politely. I also wanted to cancel something and she was perfectly fine with that, and kept me updated via e-mail. They also sent me a picture of my order before they shipped out, which was nice.

      How easy was it to pay?
      Easy, but I had to manually send them payment via Paypal cause I didn't get how their site worked. ><

      How long did it take to ship?
      I ordered during their Lunar Year vacation so it shipped on March 4th and arrived March 30th. At first Sacci quoted me the price for EMS but then realizing that she had made a mistake, quoted me for regular air mail instead. It was a lot cheaper so I went with that.

      Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Yes and no; the jacket and shirt for one of the outfit sets was made with fabric that seemed poor in quality and the inside hems were not finished with a serger. The material was also too stretchy and didn't seem like it'd last very long. The pants on the other hand were very nicely made and detailed. They sent me an extra backup button for the jacket though, which was nice.

      No... the sales photos looked a lot better.

      * When did you order? I started my order at the end of September 2011, and asked if I could combine it with a group-order, which I put in at Friday 14 October 2011.
      * How was the communication? Perfect! I got answered really quick, and George was always really friendly and helpfull.
      * How easy was it to pay? Really easy.
      * How long did it take to ship? It took about two to three weeks to complete and finish the order. And it took ONLY NINE DAYS from the day the order was shipped, to the day it arrived at my place!!!!
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? It sure was! I really love Angell-Studio, and I still have contact with George, with writing emails, etc. I think of him as a friend, and penpal. He's really nice!

I think AS has really smooth and soft resin. I really love it! I wouldn't mind buying secondhand again, even if they would be in not so good shape. All dolls deserve a good home, and we can always clean them up, when needed, so no worries. Also, I love giving those who have been through a lot, a new chance and clean them all up and give them a new life. I already did so with other things when I was still a small child.

      I have to say, their pictures of the tan skin is actually an accurate portrayal. She was more than what I was expecting. And the outfit I ordered was also so much more beautiful.

      There's a complicated question. In theory he arrived January 21, which is lightning-fast, but they sent me the wrong head. x_x So, much messaging back and forth later, I finally got the correct head March 12.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Oh yes. <3 The sculpting of those ears is magnificent, the resin is smooth and silky, and AS put kips in his shoulders and wrists free of charge.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      I ordered him in butter, and blank, but otherwise yes.

      Very much so.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      Originally they were just going to give me 20% off my next order, but I'd already put in my order for the only other AS doll on my list, and besides, Qing yin is limited and I wanted what I'd ordered. So they had me send the incorrect head back and were going to refund for shipping, but their accounting person was on holiday so they let me choose $40 worth of merchandise instead that they shipped to me along with the correct head. It had some smudges when it arrived, but that was easy to clean.

      Yes. I have a Baron Samedi on order. :)

      Very good at first... replies were fast, and they were happy to add new items to the order for me. I asked them to not ship until April 15, as I would be out of the country.

      However, they didn't notify me before shipping, and shipped to the wrong address. I don't know who made the mistake with the address, but if I'd had a tracking number I would have known something was wrong. I only discovered the mistake because someone left the final delivery notice on our apartment notice board. They must have shipped before the date I requested, though, based on the date on the notice.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      The Paypal on their site was broken, but it was easy to pay on Paypal once they sent me instructions.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      I don't know, because they didn't tell me when it shipped.

      Every change I made added cost that was a little much (eg. $6 to change gender), but in general, yes.
