      * Would you order from this company again? Definitively yes

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand For the price, I prefer order to the company

    3. * What did you order? Ai Cebee and Choa

      * When did you order? 25th October 2009

      * How was the communication? They always answered any questions, but often answers were vague when it came to shipping times.

      * How easy was it to pay? Usual paypal transaction

      * How long did it take to ship? 4.5 months - I think mine got sped up because I nagged.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes, I'm very happy with my two dolls, the sculpting is a little rough, but the doll is lovely. There were seamlines but nothing extreme. I've certainly paid more for dolls that were worse quality

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Choa - Definitely, Cebee - not as much, it could be the face-up although someone has questioned whether I got a Cebee sculpt. I'm currently checking that one out but the doll itself is lovely.

      * Were you satisfied with the product? I am very happy with both dolls

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? -

      * Would you order from this company again?
      I already have two more orders due to come

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand Probably not as it is usually a lot more expensive secondhand than direct. Overall the price does tend to make the waiting times worthwhile.

      Edit: Since this post, my order from December is still yet to be sent and it's now mid August. After 3 months of continual promising to send goods, customhouse have now vanished off the radar and are refusing to answer customers queries unless they relate to how to pay or purchase.

      After my current experience I would urge anyone to consider carefully before purchasing from customhouse. I monitored the waiting room before buying and waited until they appeared to be catching up and sending shipments regularly. It all goes downhill very fast with customhouse. All of a sudden they stopped shipping mid April and didn't resume regular shipping. Orders are coming in drips. They also have a tendency to ship items early to customers who kick up a huge stink in favour of those who have been waiting longest. It's not a good system.

      The dolls are lovely (when and if they arrive), the bodies are basic but the sculpts seem to have a life of their own. But IMO it's not worth the hazard of tying your money up in a company that has no business sense from what I have observed and certainly no hesitation in ignoring its customers when it suits.

      Oh, and really be careful of browsing the website without strong virus protection. A friend recently got her computer attacked by a trojan horse virus that the computer technician traced back to the customhouse website.

    4. * What did you order? The Ai Hyun x 2

      * When did you order? October 18, 2009

      * How was the communication? Given the uncommonly long wait time, I might have preferred to be kept a bit more up to date about my order status. However, I understand that with the large volume of orders from consecutive sale events, Custom House would have difficulty seeing to every customer like this. Whenever I did post on the CH site's Q&A board, their responses were prompt, courteous, and helpful, so I have no major complaints about communication.

      * How easy was it to pay? Simple (credit card payment)

      * How long did it take to ship? ... Nearly 6 months. ^^;;

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Most certainly. Seeing the delicate, attentively done faceups and nice quality resin, I'm even gladder that I didn't pass up the BOGOF sale. A few prominent seamlines, mostly on the legs and ankles, are the only flaw that I can see.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes for the most part. The default faceup, of course, differs from the special faceup in the company photos.

      * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes, very satisfied.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A

      * Would you order from this company again? Maybe - provided that wait times stay under 3-4 months, haha.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Probably not, unless it's a sculpt that is no longer likely to be available from the company itself.

    5. * What did you order? Ange Ai Sunny with event head Hani and extra body

      * When did you order? December 11, 2009

      * How was the communication? Always prompt, some language issues, but very polite throughout

      * How easy was it to pay? Credit Card

      * How long did it take to ship? 17 weeks to the day for delivery

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? I only have one other doll to compare them to, but yes, I would say the quality is very good for the event pricing

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? My dolls came home without faceups, but the molds look the same as on the site

      * Were you satisfied with the product? For the most part. Some seam issues and thin resin around the eyes of one doll. Also, I now understand the term "toothy resin"! LOL! That doesn't bother me, actually. I like a texture to doll "skin".

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? Though not "unsatisfied" issues CH dealt with a change of order and a problem with extra shipping charges quickly.

      * Would you order from this company again? Probably not, but it has nothing to do with Custom House, but more to do with how my doll style is developing. Were they to have elf earred tinies, though . . .

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Probably not, again just because my doll style is leaning more toward fantasy/elf/tiny now.

    6. What did you order? Cebee and Sia with face ups. A pair of shoes. A free outfit.

      When did you order? October 29, 2009

      How was the communication? I can give this the benefit of a doubt because of the language barrier. I didn't like that a "few days" equaled into three more weeks. However, when I poked around, they were able to give me an actual date.

      How easy was it to pay? Pretty good. I was able to use my CH points from way back.

      How long did it take to ship? Considering this was part of Oct 09's Buy One Doll, Get One Free offer, I didn't expect them until late March / early April. Yes, the wait is tedious, but getting two dolls for the price of one was worth the wait.

      Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? I would say so. The Cebee just needs to be restrung. She's strung way too tight. There needs to be a bit of sanding. Yet, I can do this on my own without any problems. The make up looks awesome! They actually listened to me when I asked for a specific color of eyes.

      Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes.

      Were you satisfied with the product? Aside from a few modifications, I need to do on the dolls, very much so. I'm unimpressed with the free outfit. Too tacky for my taste.

      If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? n/a

      Would you order from this company again? Considering that CH is flocked with orders right now, I'll let this one wait. I don't mind ordering from them again, but I would reccomend it if someone was looking for something economical, but can wait for a while.

      Would you buy this company's products second-hand Probably not, but that's just me.

    7. * What did you order? Ange Ai Gaby with Hani event head and discounted body.
      * When did you order? December 19th, 2009
      * How was the communication? I did not have any need for communication.
      * How easy was it to pay? Very easy, using debit card.
      * How long did it take to ship? 15 weeks, 6 days.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Very much so. I am very pleased with the quality and the price.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? They were unpainted, but other than than, yes.
      * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A
      * Would you order from this company again? Most definitely. The wait is worth it, for me.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? I have, but I would probably just buy direct from the company during an event if I was to buy again.

    8. * What did you order? Ange Ai Hani & Uri Head + extra body; one pair of ange hands
      * When did you order? December 31st; February 6th
      * How was the communication? The communication was actually very prompt and helpful
      * How easy was it to pay? Easy. I used paypal
      * How long did it take to ship? From when it actually left their factory, it was about 5 days because of customs and the weekend. And it took about 14 weeks and 4 days for everything to be manufactured and then arrive to my house
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Definitely. It's worth more than I paid for to be honest. I love the resin, the sculpt is exactly what I expected, the free wig was well-crafted.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes
      * Were you satisfied with the product? Heck yes
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A
      * Would you order from this company again? Probably. The wait time is long, but it's not unmanageable, and I know that they -are- sending out the product.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Probably not, just because CH runs so many promotions that it's not worth it to me to pay full price without a waiting time, when I can pay close to half off even if I have to wait a few months.

    9. * What did you order?
      Junior Ai Marco and Yeonu
      * When did you order?
      October 20th, 2009
      * How was the communication?
      Pretty good. They answered my questions and were friendly. Though, in the waiting room, people like to compare notes on what the responses from CH are and a lot of the times it is copy and paste.
      * How easy was it to pay?
      Not sure. I was in another state at the time. Hopefully, shii-chan will post a review since she was there for that.
      * How long did it take to ship?
      24 weeks and 6-ish days. Shii-chan (my split partner) and I were one of the last to receive our dolls from October. We weren't amused. This doesn't happen that often. Most of the time, it's just under 20 weeks, pending if you are part of a GO or not.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Yes. Considering it was the BOGOF event, it was very appropriate. There are some seams, but he's nice to pose and play with. And freakin' adorable.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes. I mean, it might be me, but the eye shape looks a little different, but, again, it might be just me.
      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Very much so.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      I was at my limits, as was shii-chan and my mom and we wrote them a stern letter essentially saying they had until the end of the month. CH went ahead and shipped our boys ahead of the clothes (the BOGOF event from October came with a free outfit) and even paid for shipping of the clothes. I was very happy about that since, by that time, we had the longest wait time.
      * Would you order from this company again?
      Probably not, if only because I have other plans involving other companies.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      No, but for the same reason as above.

    10. * What did you order? Old Ai body in the $88 sale.
      * When did you order? The day the sale was announced.
      * How was the communication? None involved.
      * How easy was it to pay? Super easy. Paypal, boom, done.
      * How long did it take to ship? It shipped the next day and arrived yesterday (May 11) so... 5 days total? Very fast.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes - I was surprised that the inner torso piece wasn't glued in but hey for $88... The bodies aren't completely finished, and need some flashing removed but are of Customhouse's usual lovely quality.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yep!
      * Were you satisfied with the product? Mostly... see below
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? n/a
      * Would you order from this company again? Absolutely. But see next answer:
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand I'd actually buy a second hand Customhouse doll over a new one because of their recent shipping and quality issues

      The one thing wrong with this transaction was the utterly appalling shipping from a manufacturer. Yes, the pieces were all in nice cellophane bags. But they had nothing IN the bags to prevent the pieces from bumping into each other. The bags were then wrapped in bubble wrap, but the box was far too large for the wrapped bundle, and it was rolling around inside the box when it arrived. Just shy of a miracle that nothing was broken, IMHO.

      Aside from that, I'm glad they did this offer. The body will be going to a friend who didn't have cash to buy it right now, and I'm delighted to have been able to help.

    11. * What did you order? 2 Old AI bodies
      * When did you order? early May
      * How was the communication? fine
      * How easy was it to pay? couldn't figure out how to use Paypal from CH site, but it worked out ok anyway
      * How long did it take to ship? two weeks, which was a very big surprise! I expected a four month wait.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? very much yes
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? No, but for $88, they're fine. They're unassembled and still have lots of seams. I look forward to sanding and finishing them.
      * Were you satisfied with the product? yes
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? n/a
      * Would you order from this company again? yes
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand yes

    12. * What did you order?
      Old body Ai * When did you order?
      11. 5. 2010
      * How was the communication?
      very very good - they was very nice
      * How easy was it to pay?
      i used paypal, so very easy. but i have some problems with my paypal, and they was so kind on me and accept my problems
      * How long did it take to ship?
      only one week - quickly
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      yes, a little bit problem with attachment, but i am satisfied
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      little different color of skin - more yellowish * Were you satisfied with the product?
      yes, very!!!
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? ---
      * Would you order from this company again?
      of course
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      possibly yes

    13. * What did you order? Old AI girl body on special offer
      * When did you order? 7/5/10
      * How was the communication? No answer to my first emails about problems paying, I managed to figure out how to pay myself.
      * How easy was it to pay? Not that easy untill I figured how to pay via paypal
      * How long did it take to ship? 3days but it was a weekend, I felt shipping was quite expensive at $48 for a small box
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? There is more work than I expected as there are many seams and lots of chunky flashing, a LOT of sanding is required.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Pretty much except for the seams and flashing!
      * Were you satisfied with the product? No as I am very sure there is a thumbnail size crack at the back of her shoulder which worries me. The parts were not individually wrapped when shipped so I think the damage could have accured then.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? Customhouse told me it is a parting line and to sand it, which I have done at length and it is still there. I have emailed them again and they still insist it is a parting line and they will not give me any more assitance with the matter!
      * Would you order from this company again? NEVER
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Maybe as long as I never have to deal with them direct again!!!!!!:x

    14. Hi, this is not a complain or anything.
      I just would like to tell u this "story" then you will decide to buy from them or not.

      I bought 2 dolls on 6th January.
      Paid immediatly.
      Never received a mail from them, I've sent tons to them.
      On March I received a mail: Sorry for the late shipping, we will send them to you soon.
      May... another mail: Would u mind paying 82$ more for shipping? We made a mistake and asked u the wrong fee (on January!) !
      Dolls shipped on 27th June.
      At the wrong address.
      With the wrong info on it.
      With a declare of 150$ and the full receipt glued to the box (around 350$) (O___O) !
      Today I received the dolls, and paid 73€ for them of custom fees.
      I've opened the box... I am a customizer, so I can fix it... but really, never seen something so horrible!
      Ok for the sanding... but this is insane.

      [IMG]

      [IMG]

      Nice doll, but not worth the problems.
      I will never buy from them for sure.
      I collect dolls since 2003 and I never had so many troubles.

    15. * What did you order?
      Junior Yeonu and Marco
      * When did you order?
      October 20, 2009
      * How was the communication?
      Mostly copy and paste replies to our emails. If they even bothered to respond.
      * How easy was it to pay?
      Easiest part of the ordeal, we used a credit card.
      * How long did it take to ship?
      Just shy of 25 weeks... almost half a year!
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      It was BOGOF event, so yes.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes! the face is perfect, the sculptor even has a signature inside my Yeonu's headcap. So adorable! Seam lines are very prominent, but nothing I can't fix myself.
      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      When I finally got the product I was.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      N/A as my problem wasn't with the actual product.
      * Would you order from this company again?
      NO. NEVER. I went into this anticipating a 3-4 month wait. I will never order from this company again. They gave us the run around for such a long time, each week notifying us that they would send the dolls out the following week. It took a series of very firm, angry letters threatening to file a claim against the company for them to even change our order status to "Preparing to Ship." Took them something like 2 weeks on top of that for them to actually ship it. This company is not capable of holding the events they have. You know the saying "If it seems to good to be true, then it probably is"? Well this company is a textbook example.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      Probably not, as I'm not interested in any of their other molds for my characters.

    16. * What did you order?
      Ange Ai Raffy with Hani event head and extra Ange body. No faceup.
      * When did you order?
      December 22.
      * How was the communication?
      Nil from their end, despite the massive difference between their advertised and actual shipping dates. When I became anxious and asked after them (after five months), I was given a "thank you for being patient" brush-off and false promises of shipping in a week or so, after some days, but at least they responded. Not in a way that actually "communicated" anything useful, though.
      * How easy was it to pay?
      Paypal.
      * How long did it take to ship?
      SIX MONTHS. Their advertised wait time was five WEEKS.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      The price was brilliant, given it was a half price plus free head event and the second body was reduced, too.That said, the sanding is poor and some of their seams are horribly jagged. More concerningly, Hani's back thigh leg has a raised bump I am afraid is a bubble, and am in dread of knocking into a hole. And the sanding around Raffy's eyes could have been more careful. I was fortunate to escape some of the really dreadful flaws some CH dolls have - at least their faces are fine! The resin itself is nice.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes, given that they are blank heads.
      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Overall, yes. But see above. They are really, really cute, though. Darling sculpts. And I really love them. I wish they had been better finished, but I was prepared for that, for the price.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      I'm not even going to try to discuss the problems with them, I know from others' experience exactly how much satisfaction I'll get.
      * Would you order from this company again?
      NEVER, and not from their sister company Dollcatch either. While I was waiting for my dolls, it seemed like they just had event sale after event sale, with no attempt to catch up on previous orders first, and no communication. I was horrified by the way some other buyers were treated by them, too. I love my baby girls, but I am disgusted with the company. The angst nearly made me hate the dolls - it ruined all the fun and excitement of ordering. I thought I was prepared for a long wait, but six months and the continual grabbing for cash by having new sales without meeting their previous commitments was at first hilarious, then really upsetting.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      Possibly. They ARE really cute, and I'd know of any flaws in advance. But never directly again. They seem to have no respect for their customers, and their business ethics are really questionable.

    17. * What did you order?
      Ange Ai Hani and Mari head and extra body
      * When did you order?
      December 27th 2009
      * How was the communication?
      I never tried to contact them
      * How easy was it to pay?
      very easy through paypal.
      * How long did it take to ship?
      6 months and 12 days.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      For the sales price, yes.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      yes, even though they are blank
      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      I was expecting much worst after reading some horror stories about CH quality, so I guess I am.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      N/A
      * Would you order from this company again?
      Probably not. Waiting times are up to 7 months at the moment and no mater how cute the dolls are, it's not worth waiting that long.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      possibly

    18. * What did you order? Ange Ai Gaby and Uri; Ai Cebee with Iriya head (planned to use Iriya head)
      * When did you order? December 20th
      * How was the communication? so so....at least they answered queries. I think production is not entirely within their control.
      * How easy was it to pay? This was not ordered on my account but on someone else's so they payed
      * How long did it take to ship? about 7 months (it was a Christmas order)
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes...big deal that there are seams....I got 2 tinies and an SD for $366! I'm quite happy with that.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes they did...I didn't care for the Cebee head but then I don't plan on keeping it.
      * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes I wish it had been quicker, but I'm really happy with my dolls.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A
      * Would you order from this company again? Yes I am planning on ordering another doll in the next sale.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand Probably not due to the inflated prices people give them....I can wait patiently.

    19. * What did you order?
      Bisou Ai BonBon + Muu event head + extra body for event head
      * When did you order?
      Original order was 19thMarch, changed to an event order on 12th April as they had not yet produced my doll.
      * How was the communication?
      They communicated with very badly translated broken English, and it was often cut and paste replies. They were uninterested in my until I threatened legal action because they would not tell me why my dolls were taking so long to be produced.
      * How easy was it to pay?
      Paypal.
      * How long did it take to ship?
      Three Months. This was only after I threatened legal action as I did not believe that the company was acting in a lawful manner, as their wait time says 4-5 weeks.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Yes. I got two beautiful dolls for the price of one, in effect. They are 19cm, and it was $168 for both.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes. Although both were blank, they definitely looked like the pictures.
      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Yes. They are lovely dolls. They were finished to a very high standard, although I think that was because the company did not want to get involved with me, as I was already very angry with them.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      They solved the problem by sending me my dolls. While I am pleased they did, I know it meant that a lot of people were very mad at me for getting mine so soon after ordering, and made the whole experience a little tough. The company also was very defensive, when it was so clear that they were in the wrong.
      * Would you order from this company again?
      NEVER, and I won't let anyone I know order from them either. They lie to their customers, and money grab by having sale after sale, while not sending any previous orders out. I personally think that the company is surviving on the skin of its teeth and those sales. They have incredibly bad customer service, and cannot give reasons for the delays that they cause.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      Yes. The dolls are beautiful, and really lovely. I also love the feeling of the resin.

      To anyone who is considering ordering directly: If you are not prepared to be VERY blunt with them, you will not see your doll in less than 6 months. If you are prepared to be very blunt, remember that no one who has ordered before you will be impressed that you got your dolls before them. I suggest knowing exactly when you want your dolls, and clarifying when they will be shipped before you order. Ask for a date, so that when that date comes you can make them send them. The website may say 4-5 weeks of working days, but the company does not mean it!!!!

    20. * What did you order?
      AI Hyun with Iriya head

      * When did you order?
      Group order was placed and paid on Dec 20.

      * How was the communication?

      Alright. They did response to my question within 2 business days. But when it comes to ask for ETD, their replies are not that helpful at all.

      * How easy was it to pay?

      Fairly easy. Just paypal

      * How long did it take to ship?

      Very long. Our GO didn't get ship out after 7 months and 3 days.
      The GO host got the package on July 26, 2010. I got my doll on July 28, 2010

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?

      Yes. It was 50% off event with free event and a (not-so-good) wig.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?

      I am, actually.
      Yes, the doll needs some mods and definitely sanding for the seamlines. But for this price. I think the doll is still worth for the price.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?

      N/A

      * Would you order from this company again?

      Maybe. I do want a yo size doll. XD

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      Yes.

    21. * What did you order? Ange Ai Hani & Uri

      * When did you order? December 28, 2009

      * How was the communication? Rubbish - lies, lies and more lies. Custom House has made the making empty promises into an art. Their standard reply to any question seems to be "surely we will send your dolls in 2-3 weeks." They never do. I've had this line at least four times from them. I don't know what the heck they think they are doing - and I don't think they know it themselves either. Oh, and please do not believe the wait times they list on their website!

      * How easy was it to pay? Easy, I used Paypal

      * How long did it take to ship? Almost EIGHT months

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes. I bought my two Anges during one of their infamous sales, and they were in bad need of a sanding when they got here. Their face-ups are rush jobs, their eyelashes were some sort of translucent white affair and in Hani's case were glued to her very cheap, very plastic eyes (Uri didn't come with any eyes at all).

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? More or less - except for the face-up.

      * Were you satisfied with the product? The quality could have been a whole lot better, but for the price I paid, I'm don't think I should be complaining too much. I love the chunkiness of my dolls' bodies and they stand like a house. With the right amount of work, they'll be lovely.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? They didn't, except to tell lies. See above. When in the end they finally did ship my order, they did so without telling me. No tracking number, no email, nothing. The dolls just showed up on my doorstep one day. To this day, my order still says 'preparing to ship' on their site.

      * Would you order from this company again? I don't think so.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand Yes, probably. Anything to avoid waiting for almost eight months again.

    22. NEGATIVE FEEDBACK

      * What did you order? Junior Ai Yeonu and event head Junior Ai Irus with extra boy body
      * When did you order? February 18, 2010
      * How was the communication? Very poor. I've never had worse communication. Of the four times I queried Custom House, I received a response only once to tell me that they would have good news for me "soon." They haven't even responded to the fact that they sent me the wrong doll.
      * How easy was it to pay? Easy using paypal
      * How long did it take to ship? one day short of seven months
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? I lucked out. My seams aren't as bad as some people have experienced, but in some areas I have the opposite problem. They were a little too enthusiastic and rough with their sanding. Some scuffs are there, and there are a few bubbles in the resin. When they came, they looked like they had been rubbed with newspaper and had gotten black smears of dirt all over them. Really I only paid the price of one doll so I can't complain too much except that they sent me the complete wrong doll.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? one did, the other absolutely not seeing as it wasn't the one i had ordered.
      * Were you satisfied with the product? I'm just happy to have something for the money I paid. I'm extremely disatisfied with the level of customer service, and with the way things were handled. No notifications were given when the company had any problems, only promises that dolls would be sent out soon, or within 2 or 3 weeks. At one point in time the Q&A thread broke and you couldn't type anything but a subject line. The website has viruses on it.... then after everything, they sent the wrong doll.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? They haven't. As happened just prior to shipping my order, Custom House is neglecting their Q&A thread and are not responding to several people with orders that are incomplete, or to those who received dolls that they did not order. *** please see edit below ***
      * Would you order from this company again? Not unless some serious changes occur and enough time has passed to establish some sort of trust with them again. They severely disappointed me.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? If they were in good condition, I'd consider it. It'd get to me faster, and would be the actual item I purchased.

      ** Editing my review with an update: Custom House has still not responded to my issue of receiving the wrong doll. I still have in my possession the Junior Ai Marco which I did not order, and have not received the Junior Ai Yeonu which I did. There has been absolutely no effort on Custom House's part to correct this despite my having contacted them six times. I will not order from Custom House again, nor will I recommend that anyone else go through this process either. It's not worth it even if the dolls are nice.

    23. * What did you order? An Ange Ai Gaby with a free Uri head (event sale)

      * When did you order? Feb 24, 2010

      * How was the communication? Actually, not unpleasant. Well, I only contacted them once after almost six months to remind them that I had two open orders (one from Feb and a GO from April) and that they hadn't sent any of the 5 dolls, yet. They said they would sent out the first order at the beginning of Sept and the GO by the middle/end of Sept. And actually I did get the Feb order even before Sept.
      That being said, I basically live in the CH waiting room thread and see what they say to other people. Some were (what can only be described as) fed misinformation to again and again by CH.

      * How easy was it to pay? Very easy. Paypal or creditcard. They have no problem taking your money. ^^

      * How long did it take to ship? I ordered them Feb 24 and got them Aug 27 - so six months.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes, definately. I bought them during a 50% sale and I couldn't ask for more for that money. The Gaby is really cute and so well made. The seam lines are visible but I enjoy sanding dolls. I've had worse seam lines on dolls I've paid the full price. The Ange Ai body is beautifully made and poses well. She stood like a rock right out of the box.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes.

      * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes, just not with the waiting times.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? Does not apply.

      * Would you order from this company again? At the moment I have an open order with CH, a Group Order. For some reason they went ahead and sent part of the order out, even though we didn't ask them to do that. This actually annoyed me, because it means more work for me.
      I don't know, if I will order from them again. I have to say that I am fairly tempted by their new sale. They have now introduced a system that seems to give you points when your wait time topps X months. However, from what it looks like you'd have to place a new order with them to use these points. So they are basically hoping that nobody will ever make use of those points - because which disgruntled customer would order from them again?

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? Yes, I'd definately buy all CH dolls second-hand. A lot of people do, that's why MP prices for Custom House dolls are rediculously high.

    24. Thank you Custom House For Sending my not one but Two defective dolls!

      * What did you order? Event Cebee & Event Sai

      * When did you order? Jan 8 2010

      * How was the communication?
      Horrible communication. They go silent for a few weeks when they don't meet shipping deadlines. I told them every month shin I moved that I had changed my address and they still ship my first doll, they had to split the dolls up, tot he wrong addre4ss.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Yeah Paypal, Will never use it again. Can't get refund with paypal.

      * How long did it take to ship? 242 days for Cebee & 255 for Sai

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      I got two pieces of junk. See Below for pics. I feel event items should be just as good as your regular items.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? No they were dirty when I got them, but the molds are the same yes.

      * Were you satisfied with the product? NO.
      To wait this long, and have crappy customer service, then get defective dolls, not one but two. I told them about my first defective doll. and for them to make the next one perfect. Did not seem to get through their heads.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      They have not. They have gone silent again.

      * Would you order from this company again? Never and I will make sure no one orders from them again.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand Yes. Just cuz I would not have to deal with the company.

      Picture time!
      Some flaws in Cebee.

    25. * What did you order? Petite Ai Jenniel with a Muriel event head.

      * When did you order? January 29th, 2010

      * How was the communication? Very poor. Like others have said, questions on the Q&A board were either ignored or answered with lies. I was told originally that the doll would ship by the end of July. When that didn't happen I asked again and was told by September 10th. They did not meet that date either.

      * How easy was it to pay? Very easy. Wish I would have paid with a credit card instead of Paypal, though. I would probably have $160 extra instead of a doll right now.

      * How long did it take to ship? Nearly eight months. The doll shipped September 16th, which was a total of 230 days.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Jenniel's head and body, yes. The Muriel head, no. I realize it was a free head but no self-respecting company should think it's appropriate to send out a mismatched, filthy head with a huge resin bubble underneath the nose.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? In terms of the sculpt, yes. In terms of the quality, no.

      * Were you satisfied with the product? Jenniel yes, Muriel no.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? I'll make another post on their Q&A about the poor quality of my Muriel head, but based on how they've been treating the above poster I don't expect a resolution. So I guess my answer is that CH did not and will not solve my problem.

      * Would you order from this company again? Only if they have a good six months of sending quality dolls out in a timely fashion under their belt. I doubt that will happen though.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand Perhaps. Even though their customer service is horrible they have some rather adorable dolls.

      More in-depth review and box opening with pics of Jenniel's and Muriel's arrival condition can be found here: Click!

    26. * What did you order?
      An Ange Ai Hani and Uri. Also, two wigs.

      * When did you order?
      The end of January 2010.

      * How was the communication?
      Communication was fine - polite and apologetic - and my comments on the Q&A were always answered within 24-hours. However, CH's replies regarding shipping dates could not be considered anything other than bare-faced lies, so while it was comforting that they were answering, and thus proving the company still existed, it was frustrating - and darkly hilarious - to be told, for example, that a doll would be shipped in 3 weeks, by the end of the current month, when the end of the month was a week away. Clearly CH have a crazy, Alice in Wonderland style calendar, where each month contains at least 6 weeks.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Hah! It was so long ago that I've forgotten, but I seem to remember through the mists of time that it was straightforward.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      I received my dolls on the 28th of August, so seven months after I ordered them.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      The price was low - and the quality was moderate. Both girls arrived with black marks on them and pronounced seams. The magnet can be seen through the headcap on Uri. The wigs are cute, and also of moderate quality. I would have thought that for a wig costing almost $30, I could have got some ribbon on the one styled with bunches, rather than regular elastic bands(!) The packing was poor: both girls were well bubble-wrapped, but free to slide around in their box, and their box in turn was free to slide around in the outer shipping box. I love my little girls, but I would not have paid full price for them - the event meant it was practically "buy one get one free".

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      I did not order face-ups, but in terms of sculpt, yes, pretty much.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Yes, just about.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      n/a - although I suspect that if I had had a problem, it would have been all but impossible for me to get it fixed.

      * Would you order from this company again?
      Only if I was feeling particularly masochistic, and probably not - by the end of my wait I became afraid that the company would go bankrupt before I received my order, and I think it would be safer to take my money elsewhere!

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      Yes.

    27. * What did you order?
      Cebee with event head Iriya

      * When did you order?
      January 4th, 2010

      * How was the communication?
      It was okay, when they answered. They always apologized and asked for me to be patient and assured me my dolls would ship ASAP. When they finally told me the doll would ship on September 10th, it did actually ship on September 10th. I wish they had been a little more detailed about what was causing the hold-ups, though. Obviously something serious was going on within the company and letting customers know would probably have helped. There can be so many reasons for problems- personnel, resin supply, weather, etc.- but we were left in the dark about it.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Very easy to pay, just used paypal.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      Forevever: 8 months. However, once it did leave Korea, it got here (California) in three days. I had ordered one of the old style bodies they had in stock sometime earlier, and it arrived within five days of my order.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Wow. The quality was exceptional. Unlike other people, my doll and event head arrived very-well and securely packaged. The doll was completely spotless and clean, and had no chips, bubbles, or other defects. In addition to that, she was beautifully sanded and had no seam lines. Resin is nice and heavy and very beautiful- it almost has a glowing quality to it.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      The doll is much prettier in real life- she is better than the pictures on the website.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Other than the long wait, I could not be happier with this doll. She is just breath-taking.

      * Would you order from this company again?
      I didn't think I would ever order from this company again, until I got the doll. Now, I have to admit that I would definitely consider it. I would just be aware next time that it might take longer to get the doll than they say at the time of order. For the special sales price, the quality really is awesome. I will probably order another size from them during the next year. This time, though, I will know what I am getting into. For some reason I didn't have the quality problems some of the other people have had, so my experience was a good one, other than the long wait.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      Absolutely.

    28. * What did you order?
      Ai Sia w/Iriya head, Ange Ai Mari w/Doobi head + body, Bisou Ai Yoyo w/Coco head + body

      * When did you order?
      January 1, 2010

      * How was the communication?
      Initially, fine. Once the delay got past four/five months and people started posting more, the replies were sporadic and full of excuses. They would answer part of the question and ignore the rest. At this point, they're answering about one out of five messages, and then they only give a "oh, excuse the delay, we'll ship on (insert bogus date here)" answer, they don't address any other issues. There is a giant lack of honesty in their responses. It's incredibly disrespectful to their customers....they obviously see us as a giant pain once they have our money.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Oh, very easy. They take your money no problem. Unfortunately, since it was Paypal, it leaves you with absolutely no recourse once the wait goes beyond the 45 day limit. If you do decide to throw caution to the wind and order, I would definitely recommend using another method of payment, one involving a credit card so that you can do a chargeback if needed.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      Babies are born faster. I received a partial shipment (Ai and Bisous) on 9/20, after watching several newer orders go out before mine. I am *still* waiting on two dolls while they send the same models to people who ordered as late as April. There is no logic or order to their shipping, it's pretty random. They also did not send a notice when they shipped...I only knew because I was checking my status constantly. During the whole time, their "4-6 week" shipping estimate stayed up on their website. Unbelievable.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      On some dolls, yes, but only because they were at half-price. If they'd been regular price, no way. One doll was mismatched and had horrible seams that will need a LOT of finishing. Even though they were all ordered at the same time and are *supposed* to be NS, they don't match each other. Their quality control is extremely poor at the moment.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Only one doll looks as I expected. My Sia is much lighter, almost whiteskin, and if I had known that they had changed their resin color so drastically, I would not have ordered, since I really don't care for whiteskinned dolls. The third doll has the regular body and the new lighter head, which is seriously NOT what was pictured.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      No. I truly regret ordering, which sucks because Sia was one of the dolls I initially fell in love with years ago. I realize you "get what you pay for", but honestly, this was ridiculous. The frustration of waiting and their horrible customer service really affected how I now feel about the dolls.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      So far, they haven't done a thing. They haven't even responded to the messages. As far as I can see, they haven't addressed ANY problems presented to them.

      * Would you order from this company again?
      NEVER EVER AGAIN. Not only that, I will do my best to make sure no one I know orders from them, either. No one deserves to be treated the way we have by CH. They do not value their customers in the slightest, and your money is better spent elsewhere.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      Maybe eventually, depending on the price. There are so many other cute dolls out there, really.

    29. * What did you order? Ange Ai Uri + event head Hani + extra body
      * When did you order? February 19th 2010
      * How was the communication? It was somewhat delayed, and they often gave me false shipping quotes. I first asked when they would be shipping my dolls at the beginning of August. They told me by the end of the month. Once September rolled around, I asked them again. This time they told me my dolls would ship between September 10 and 20. The 21st rolled around and I asked again. On the 24th or 25th they told me that my dolls would ship the next week, and they did.
      * How easy was it to pay? Very easy.
      * How long did it take to ship? 226 days. So, just over 7 months.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes. They're very cute dolls, and Uri even seems to have been sanded.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? As much as blank dolls can look like sales photos, yes.
      * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes. They're adorable.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? n/a
      * Would you order from this company again? I don't think I would. The wait was a bit much, even for dolls that were 50% off. I might order from them again if their waits times went down.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? I might consider, as there is one of their dolls that I do want.

    30. * What did you order? Ange Ai Hani and Raffy, and Ai Hyun

      * When did you order? January 27th 2010

      * How was the communication? when they reply, they give you copy-pasted answers and false promises. The rest of the time they just ignore your messages. And they didn't send me any shipping notice either.

      * How easy was it to pay? Easy by Paypal.

      * How long did it take to ship? more than 8 months

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? No, the event special price doesn't justify the bad quality and the poor service.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? No, I bought a Ai Hyun with the regular body (it was the one that they had when I placed my order), then they changed it in the photos and I asked if they will send me the regular boy body or the new one and they told me that my doll will come with the regular boy body... and then they send me the other one. Also the skin tone is different between their dolls.

      * Were you satisfied with the product? No, the quality is worse than years ago, the dolls arrived a bit unfinished and dirty. My Hyun arrived with a broken finger that wasn't inside the box, so they sent it already broken (and the package has not been opened by Customs).

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? They send me a new pair of hands... but in a different color! because as I said, event dolls are not the same color than their previous dolls.

      * Would you order from this company again? NEVER

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? no, I don't want to see anything related with this company anymore ^^;;;

    31. * What did you order? Ange Ai Sunny, Gaby and a old SD female body
      * When did you order? 29th of March
      * How was the communication? N/A. I didn't message them for anything.
      * How easy was it to pay? Easy with paypal.
      * How long did it take to ship? Took about 6 months
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? No, they're dirty, have alot of chips, dents and scratches (similar to what Rozga posted) and theres a huge colour difference between the dolls. Also the SD body is really, really yellow, it's NOTHING like the picture.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Not really
      * Were you satisfied with the product? To some extent.. The dolls are really cute. But the quality is just shit. Dx
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? I didn't bother asking.
      * Would you order from this company again? No
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand Probably not

    32. * What did you order? Little Junior Mars with Prayer Darea event head
      * When did you order? Feb. 27, 2010
      * How was the communication? I had to remind them a few times to change my shipping address, and they gave me the standard '2-3 weeks' or 'end of month' responses when I asked about shipping. I didn't contact them very often, especially since their site is usually infected with viruses or their Q&A board wasn't working.
      * How easy was it to pay? Quite easy, like some one else said, they have no problem taking your money, getting it back is the hard part. :|
      * How long did it take to ship? About 8 months.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? The seams are visible but not bad. The resin (on Mars anyway) is nice and solid with a good toothy feel. So quality is good for the price, but the wait made it almost not worth it.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yeah.
      * Were you satisfied with the product? I'm kinda disappointed with the event head, she is adorable, but smaller and lighter weight than the Mars head and the resin color is completely off. But I did actually get my event wig and it is nice, and there is nothing wrong with Mars.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? Even if there was something very wrong with Mars, I wouldn't contact them again. It isn't worth it.
      * Would you order from this company again? I had to basically threaten them that I wanted my doll and a concrete shipping date or a refund before they finally sent it out. It shouldn't take any company 7+ months to ship one MSD sized doll with no faceup or accessories. So no, I don't believe I will ever order from them again.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand Not so sure.

    33. * What did you order? CH Ange Ai Hani + face-up & eyelashes w/ event head Uri + face-up, eyelashes, & extra Ange Ai body
      * When did you order? February 26, 2010
      * How was the communication? At first it was fine and every time I contacted them (which wasn't often) I got cheerful, kind replies. As more time went by, I didn't post anything on the Q&A for a long time, but I watched others have their queries ignored. Finally when I did post on the Q&A I got pretty much the same cut & paste reply as everyone else which included shipping date promises that didn't happen (until now, of course, since they're home).
      * How easy was it to pay? Super easy through paypal!
      * How long did it take to ship? 7 months & 22 days! Not the longest waiting time, but long enough that I started to worry towards the end.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes. My Hani is seamless and perfect! The face-up, though not quite what I was expecting, is lovely! Uri's face-up is less satisfactory, but she WAS free with a really cheap face-up and body. Her body has seams (not too terrible though) and little smudges of dirt here and there that I'm sure will come off with a magic eraser. Overall, they look great though!!
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? The sculpt definitely does, but the face-ups look different. Hani's is close enough, but Uri's is rather poor in comparison to her photos on the website.
      * Were you satisfied with the product? Overall, yes!
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A
      * Would you order from this company again? If they get their act together and cut down the wait times significantly and prove that they can be trusted again, then yes, I'd love to order more tinies from CH! Their dolls truly are adorable!
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand Absolutely! Provided the price is right and the condition is excellent!

    34. * What did you order?
      Basic Petite AI Hanael

      * When did you order?
      9/5

      * How was the communication?
      Alright. Never really ask them anything but confirming payment..

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Paypal

      * How long did it take to ship?
      Less than 2 months. (:o)

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Yes. Better then the price I would say.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Yes. (but they free eyes are not so good)

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      N/A

      * Would you order from this company again?
      Er.. not in a short run.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      Yes.

    35. I just realized that I haven't given CH feedback for my last order... :P

      * What did you order?

      Little Junior Icarus + Meoroo event head + girl LJ body

      * When did you order?
      December 28, 2009

      * How was the communication?
      Craptastic. Any time I ever asked a question, it took them around a week to respond, with copy-paste answers that didn't really answer my questions. My favorite? "We will ship your dolls within two weeks" And that was every response for 8 months.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Very easy to pay, just used paypal.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      Forever: About 8 months.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      I guess it was ok. I mean, it was an event price, and I think I was lucky. My dolls' bodies were relatively seamy, but I sanded them and they are fine now. Their heads were actually ok, too.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Relatively. I am not at all satisfied with Custom House as a company though.

      * Would you order from this company again?
      The whole time I was waiting for this order, I swore up and down that I would never buy from them again. I want a Junior Kio now, but I have no pressing need to order him. I am about 95% sure I will never order from them again. They would need to have an even better sale, and I would need to see that their wait times are down.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      I would rather buy them used - no need to deal with how crappy CH actually is.

    36. * What did you order?
      - I've ordered from the August 2010 EVENT Ange Ai Hani basic with event Hani head and Ange Ai body, and some other dolls...

      * When did you order?
      - August 2010

      * How was the communication?
      - awful! Sometimes they haven't responded to my inquiries! And they have deleted my inquiry!

      * How easy was it to pay?
      - PayPal, no fees

      * How long did it take to ship?
      - about 3 months with promises every time to ship it "next month", but they haven't shipped the event Hani head... And they've lied to me that they've shipped two basic dolls!!! I have some photos from the receiving - there are only 1 Hani full doll and the Ange Ai body WITHOUT the event head!!! They have promised to ship it into the next parcel, but I've NEVER received event Hani head!!! I've received the answer today:
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      - the doll is good quality, but the body with scratches and WITHOUT A HEAD!

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      - the same

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      - unsatisfied until I'll receive the Hani head!!!

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      - I'm trying to solve this problem, but they don't want to ship the Hani head! They lied to me!!!

      * Would you order from this company again?
      - NEVER AGAIN!

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand?
      - no!

    37. * What did you order?
      Ai-Sia and Iriya
      When did you order?
      2010-01-03
      * How was the communication?
      Bad, they used too long to awnser my question
      * How easy was it to pay?
      Easy, paypal.
      * How long did it take to ship?
      9 months
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Yes, a few spots and dirty seems. But I did get two dolls for the price of one
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes
      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Yes
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      * Would you order from this company again?
      Maybe, I will however wait to see if they sort out their current problems
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      Yes, and as it looks right now that would be a more logical way to get a CH doll

    38. * What do you order?
      Honey and Uri set (PVC)

      * When you order?
      27 \ 07 \ 2010

      * How was communication?
      Q & A. Sometimes it responds quickly, sometimes ignored. Repeated that the sending would be "this month" but nothing has been sent. And so a few months. Empty promises.

      * How easy it was to pay?
      Paypal.

      * How much time does it take to ship?
      Nine months.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      For such a small price dolls are good enough. Too many things in the kit, the MEK-up. But the response of the body is not quite quality. There are problems with the knee of the left leg. These curves and the leg is not sohryanyaet upright position. It is difficult to put a doll that does not fall.

      * Was the item as a sales pictures?
      On promo photo was more beautiful make-up. Otherwise, they are no different.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Problems with foot grieve. Make-up I'll try to remake itself. The rest is OK. But the waiting period for nine months - it's just awful. I would be much easier postponed the deadline if I were not constantly lying. Lied about the time, lied to replace PVC to resin if you do not have time to date. No sooner had not been replaced.

      * If you were not satisfied, then as a company to solve your problem?
      I think that they have solved all this time only its own problems. I do not know exactly which ones. They had some change policy changes the order of work. Maybe Dale will be better.

      * You Order from this company again?
      Maybe. First, I'll be a long time to observe their "waiting room" and Q & A I would watch as they fill orders from other customers. If the waiting period will be reduced and will be consistently shorter (1-2 months) then maybe buy more.

      * Want to buy products of this company used
      Yes, I would purchase. That would be a guaranteed faster. And I honestly have shown if the dolls are defective.

      Sorry for my bad English. ^. ^ "

    39. * What did you order? time service event Ai Sia, Ai Choa

      * When did you order? I ordered during the time service event in december 2010

      * How was the communication? Communication was horrid. they were good at answering the messages, but never actually "answered" the questions or gave straight answers. They did a lot of copy/paste replies that were the same to everyone.

      * How easy was it to pay? I sent the payment alright, but when i asked if they had received it, which paypal confirmed they did, CH first said yes they had it, then the next day I see a message in my email saying that they made a mistake and didn't have it. I had to fight with them for a couple of days to prove that they did have it, with screen shots of my paypal transaction and threats of reporting them.

      * How long did it take to ship? CH guaranteed 3 weeks to ship the dolls which were kits, so unstrung, un-sanded, no eyes, with elastics and s-hooks. However, they did not ship mine until February. I had to make a complaint to the KNPA before they would send out my dolls. Every time they lied about when I would get my dolls.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? To be honest, I'm surprised about the quality. I was expecting a lot worse. But when I took them out of their packaging, the pieces seemed to be in great shape, only slight teeny, tiny things here and there needed to be sanded, and other than the cheap s-hooks and miscut elastics, I think the dolls are pretty equal to the new Luts quality resin.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? yes, it did look like the sale pictures. it was a kit after all.

      * Were you satisfied with the product? Overall, I am very satisfied with my girls, though I'm a bit disappointed that I have to order new s-hooks, but I love them to bits and they are beautiful!

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? CH wasn't even going to ship my dolls till I contacted the KNPA, so I doubt they would have fixed anything if I did have a problem

      * Would you order from this company again? Maybe once I see them actually sending out a steady stream of dolls without the customers having to complain to pp or KNPA first. Also, if they hire someone else to handle the message boards that understands english and will give actual answers instead of just Copy/Pasting repeatedly to people that aren't even asking the same question.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand I would definitely buy second hand. I love their sculpts and I have several that I still want! It's just a shame that I'd have to buy second hand if I even wanted to see the dolls and not go through a headache like the one i went through with this order.

      A WARNING TO ANYONE BUYING FROM THIS COMPANY THEY ARE HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THEIR PAYPAL ACCOUNT BECAUSE OF ALL THE DISPUTES. THEY ARE TRYING TO GET THE PEOPLE THAT STARTED THE DISPUTES TO CANCEL THEM BEFORE GIVING TRACKING NUMBERS. I ADVISE THAT YOU DO NOT DO THAT. ALSO ANYONE WHO WANTS TO BUY FROM THEM IN THE FUTURE I ADVISE THAT YOU READ THE WAITING ROOM THREAD BEFORE DOING SO!

    40. * What did you order?
      Time service Sia kit.
      * When did you order?
      December 13.
      * How was the communication?
      I contacted them only once, about a lost password - they emailed back after the lunar new year with a reset password and let me know my shipping number. Best communication I've ever had from CH.
      * How easy was it to pay?
      Paypal.
      * How long did it take to ship?
      Three months. Not the promised three weeks, but still better than I expected...
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Kind of stunning, really. There was one bit that needs some loving sanding, and the s-hooks and elastic were incapable of doing the job, but the doll herself is lovely - gorgeous sculpt, creamy heavy matte resin, and surprisingly okay seams. For $89 for a 57cm doll. I was not expecting such high quality.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Like the kit pictures, yes.
      * Were you satisfied with the product? I was disappointed with the stringing materials, but thrilled with the doll.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? No point contacting them given that people have more serious problems for them to deal with, I'll order new elastic and shooks myself.
      * Would you order from this company again? NO. Having read the waiting room and seen the chaos other people are being put through, I realise I was playing Russian Roulette ordering from them twice, and I'm not risking it again, no matter how good the sale.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand Yes. They are beautiful, and I'd know what I was getting, and when.

      THIS COMPANY IS HAVING MAJOR PROBLEMS. PLEASE, CHECK RECENT POSTS ON THE WAITING ROOM BEFORE ORDERING FROM THEM. I WAS VERY LUCKY - MANY PEOPLE WERE NOT.

    41. * What did you order?
      Ange Ai Uri with a free Uri head.
      * When did you order?
      11th August 2010
      * How was the communication?
      I contacted them 4 times bugging them to send dolls- they did so on the promised date of the second message (I think)
      * How easy was it to pay?
      Unsure, private GO leader paid ^^;
      * How long did it take to ship?
      6 months.
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Yes. Doll was seamless, stands solidly and is beautifull ^^ (**EDIT: The faceup artist notified me that there was a small bump on my Uri's head, but this has been covered with her faceup**)
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      MM, yeah- as far as a doll without a faceup would resemble a doll with a faceup.
      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Yes.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      NA
      * Would you order from this company again?
      No. We got lucky this time: probably not next time.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      Yes, they have some beautiful sculpts. Its just a pity that their customer service is so poor.

    42. * What did you order?
      Cyn Christmas Doll Kit

      * When did you order?
      24 December 2010

      * How was the communication?
      Nothing. I just bugged them on early-mid February with regards to the "time service advert" that they promised all the December kits to be sent before January. They have promised the kit to be sent to me by late February. To my surprise when I check my account in late February, the status have changed and I received it within 3 days of shipping

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Yes. Using to Debit card to pay to their paypal account.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      2 months. I will say it reached 1 and 1/2 day late for the promised delivery of 2 months. But I'm fine with that cause I was expecting 3-4 months of waiting

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      I would say Yes on the 70-80%. I paid for a cheap doll kit. I just need to do some fine sanding as the seams for 1 side of the doll was pretty obvious and the factory rushed out the products hence the sanding they have made were pretty rough. *Just strung the doll and I would say the flexiblity of the kit set wasn't that great as cause of the rough mold they had.*

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      It was a kit, it sure look like Cyn, and I think it look better than the photo they had on the site.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Yes. It was cheap and affordable.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      NA. I was lucky that it was really smooth for me.

      * Would you order from this company again?
      I think once they are on the right track, I will buy a little Junior. But I will see how far they will fair first.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand?
      I have not think about this yet.

    43. * What did you order?
      2 Little Junior Meoroo and 2 Ange Ai Uri (a Go)

      * When did you order?
      April 2010 - recieved the dolls in 2 shipments, one in September 2011 and the other in March 2011 (!!)

      * How was the communication?
      Labored to say the least. They often didn't reply to messages left on the Q&A board, they gave us false shipping dates and never sent the dolls. We grew so desperate that we contacted the South Korean Police. Only then did they sent us the dolls. If you are interested in specifics you can read the whole sad story here.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Very easy, I used Paypal.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      Almost 11 months!!

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Yes, the dolls were in good quality.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      I would be, if the shipping time had been appropriate.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      After talking to the South Korean Police they finally sent us our dolls.

      * Would you order from this company again?
      No, not at present.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand?
      Certainly, I love their dolls and really hope that Custom House / Aidolls can find back to their former glory!

    44. * What did you order?
      petite ai Sariel
      * When did you order?
      2011 January 24
      * How was the communication?
      good I have pm them only one time
      * How easy was it to pay?
      very easy with paypall
      * How long did it take to ship?
      1 month and a half
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Yes. Doll was seamless, stands solidly and is beautifull
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      yes it was unassemble
      * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem ? NA
      * Would you order from this company again? maybe if they have a really good sale.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand I already have bought a little junior

    45. * What did you order?
      A huge group order, over $1,200 in dolls
      * When did you order?
      Late February 2010
      * How was the communication?
      Terrible, I had inquired on their Message board dozens of times and was answered only 4 or 5 times.
      * How easy was it to pay?
      Extremely easy, I used paypal (of course it was easy to pay, it's just not easy to get what you paid for!)
      * How long did it take to ship?
      THIRTEEN MONTHS
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      In most cases yes, but if the dolls had not been on a discount, then no.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      yes, except for the color, as their resin changed.
      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Yes
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem ?
      Not applicable
      * Would you order from this company again?
      NEVER, it took over a year and me having to beg/threaten them repeatedly to send the dolls.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand?
      It would depend on the condition.

    46. I hesitate referring to this company as Custom House, as this is not the delightfully quirky Custom House of old. And now, it seems they are referring to themselves as Aidolls. So while they do continue to offer some of the sculpts CH offered later in its tenure, I consider these Aidolls. I also believe the company is working to turn its terrible image around. I'd ordered two kits in an earlier Time Service event, and the company's responsiveness was everything I could hope for.

      That said, I really wish they didn't have a guarantee/return policy that was for printer cartridges! *_*

      * What did you order?
      Valentine's Time Service Event, Lino

      * When did you order?
      Early February 2011

      * How was the communication?
      I didn't communicate with them during the wait. I anticipated the order might be slow to arrive, and accepted I might have to wait a very long time. However, once I'd received a tracking number that stalled, I did let them know and asked if they would please initiate a trace. My guess is they did, as within the week, the tracking again showed progress and the doll arrived shortly thereafter.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Very easy--Paypal

      * How long did it take to ship?
      Just a little under three months. Given most wait times in the "industry," I felt this was reasonable. It certainly exceeded my expectations.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Yes. I paid a ridiculously small amount of money for this doll, and he is worth much more than I paid.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Yes, quite satisfied. It exceeded expectation here, too. This is not a resin that is comparable in quality to old CH resin (which you'd be hard-pressed to distinguish in quality from Volks). The dolls are now cast in China. However, production values exceed the quality I've seen in some other Chinese BJDs. The doll feels solid, has heft and moves well.

      The most amazing thing is that he is perfectly sanded! In virtually all cases, it's nearly impossible to see a parting seam or ragged gate. In one place, the surface of the resin does show a spot where it seems the tinting failed to mix properly, but I don't know enough about resin to say whether that's the exact problem. It isn't hugely noticeable.

      I wasn't terribly thrilled with the faceup, and if I were to order again, I wouldn't invest in that, as the price is comparable to what a good artist on DoA would charge. But at least he has a face and can wait on further funds. ;)

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      There was no problem with the product to solve. I believe the company was very responsive in initiating a trace on the delayed package.

      * Would you order from this company again?
      Yes, with one consideration. I would want to know that the packaging did not put the doll at risk. Shipping carriers are rarely gentle with boxes. (see below) After receiving my doll, I went back on the site to see whether the doll included kipping pillows, etc. No mention of those. That's apparently not an omission.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand?
      Yes. I haven't had the doll long enough to know how the resin holds up over years, but it seems the doll will age well.

      * Other
      I really wanted to give Aidolls a good review all around, because I think they are trying. But when my postman brought the package to me, I about had heart failure. It looked like this:

      [IMG]

      [IMG]

      The cardboard is cheap, in the way that many packages from China use soft, bendable cardboard that simply can't withstand much. The only reason it isn't completely flat is because that wider part is the doll inside.

      [IMG]

      (That ragged opening is my doing ... you can see the extent of the torn part in the top image) The doll was wrapped in a length of that foam "cloth" and then several layers of bubble wrap. Inside, only the hands were protected with bubble wrap. The doll, the eyes and the certificate were just tossed in the box and could roll around in shipment (until the box got squashed). No protective pillows or foam. No protective second box. Not even any styrofoam peanuts.

      Amazingly, the doll was in perfect shape. Not a thing broken or scratched.

      I did forward these pictures to Aidolls and suggested they might want to address the packaging problem lest they find themselves having to replace lots of dolls damaged in transit. These dolls are now cast in China, not Korea, and I suspect the toy company contracted to manufacture also drop-ships the dolls directly. This reduces production cost, but Aidolls also surrenders a measure of quality control in the arrangement. The aesthetics of product presentation are absent, and I could live with that (I hardly need more boxes!), but not at the expense of shipping safely.

    47. It's been a while, but I thought I'd go ahead and put up a review. I definitely had better luck than many have lately...

      * What did you order?

      PVC Little Junior Mars fullset (but received resin, with faceup & eyes only.)

      * When did you order?
      August 29, 2010.

      * How was the communication?
      Not great. Sometimes my questions on the Q&A board went unanswered. The replies I did get tended to be the same copy/paste replies as everyone else was getting at the time. But a few days after I contacted the Korean National Police Agency, suddenly the replies got more specific... ;) Though I ordered the PVC doll, this was when they were saying that if the PVC dolls weren't ready by a certain time, they'd send resin dolls for the same price. However, when they let me know he was finally shipping, they hadn't told me whether I'd be receiving a PVC or resin doll. They told me the holdup as of that time was waiting for the outfit to be completed (all the PVCs were fullsets) so I said I didn't mind receiving a nude doll if it could get him here faster. They mailed him the next day.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Easy, Paypal.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      I received him in February 2011. So a little over six months.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Absolutely. I received a RESIN 35cm doll for the PVC sales price of $140. And he was absolutely perfect - no seams, nice face up, no chips, cracks or discoloration. He was also packed well, unlike some recent shipments I've seen - I didn't get a fancy company box, but he came with two pillows inside a basic cardboard box, which was then placed in a larger shipping box. I had said I'd like either grey or blue eyes, and they actually sent a set of each (they were really cheap, though, and have since been replaced.)

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes, with the exception that he's resin and not PVC.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Very. He's my favourite of my 5 BJDs.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      N/A. They told me they'd send the wig and outfit separately the next month and they never did, but I was happy enough getting a lovely doll for such a low price.

      * Would you order from this company again?
      If the wait times go down, yes, I'd risk it. Their sculpts are lovely, and the prices are reasonable. My boy was worth the wait.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      Definitely. For now, that's the preferable way. :lol:

      Less than a month. I received it on 5/16/2011

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      I think so. It was a time-service event. So with the price I paid, I think he is better than the month I paid.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes, I think so.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Yes.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      N/A

      * Would you order from this company again?
      Nada. I consider myself being lucky this time.

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand
      I guess so. But so far, I've already own the sculpts I'd want from them.

      Exactly the same. Love it
      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Satisfied

      Yes, less risk and don't have to worry all the time after i order.

    50. * What did you order? Ange Ai Hani, Ange Ai Uri, The Ai Cebee
      * When did you order? March 31/April 1, 2011
      * How was the communication? Zero. I did not contact them, but they didn't let me know if they had received my order or if my order had shipped. I had to login to my account on the website to find out.
      * How easy was it to pay? PayPal, so quite easy.
      * How long did it take to ship? Recevied 'package' May 20, 2011
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? I suppose, but barely, I had to do a lot of work to the dolls to make them acceptable to me.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? I ordered blank dolls, so it's hard to tell.
      * Were you satisfied with the product? Not really, as stated above, I had to put a lot of work into them before they looked acceptable. Cebee's knees are very weak and I have to be careful not to bend the resin in them and break them. (See my Custom House box opening videos for details)
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? I haven't contacted them. Frankly, I don't think that I would see my money or my dolls again if I shipped them back. Again, I have already tried to make the best of the situation.
      * Would you order from this company again? Probably not until I heard a steady stream of positive feedback about them.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand? The older dolls (i.e. pre-2010), probably, but I'd be hesitant about the newer ones having seen the poor quality of the finishing.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      There is a crack on hip joint, rest is ok.
      * Were you satisfied with the product?
      Yes.

    52. * What did you order? Junior Ai Cebee Full Set

      * When did you order? September 8, 2011

      * How was the communication? Good - my questions were answered within 48 hours

      * How easy was it to pay? Very Easy - I used PayPal

      * How long did it take to ship? Slightly over 1 month

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Absolutely!

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Looked even better. Custom House does not take good pictures of their dolls.

      * Were you satisfied with the product? Very satisfied! The resin was heavy, good quality and the finish was excellent - she came with no seam lines, scratches or other irregularities. The face-up was very basic, but clean and nicely done. The clothes and shoes were of excellent quality as well.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? N/A

      * Would you order from this company again? Yes!

      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand I don't shop on the secondary market, but if I did, then sure.

    53. * What did you order? Junior Ai Hades and Mars
      * When did you order? An year and a half ago
      * How was the communication? Pretty good. The hands came out detached and I contacted them asking for A/S since I'm not good at handling parts. So they did it for free :D
      * How easy was it to pay? Yes.
      * How long did it take to ship? About 2 months for 2 dolls
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes. I think the quality was pretty good. The skin color was a bit odd but I liked it. Plus I got them when they were on 50% sale. But if I paid full price then I would say it is on the expensive side compare to quality.
      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes. Except for the make up. The make-up was so off. Do not order the make-up from them.
      * Were you satisfied with the product? Yes, pretty much.
      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? Yes, they did.
      * Would you order from this company again? Yes, if only they have another gorgeous boys on sale again.
      * Would you buy this company's products second-hand Not really.
