I have pics of some of the hairstar wigs that I got from kasita during her first order, and I must say that the quality is superb, and I love the colors avail. will definitely be ordering more

Do Hairstar wigs have an elastic band or elastic cap? (Just curious ... the idea of a custom wig outweighs my no-velcro obsession for once.)

 

Here's a few of Quay in his brand spanking new hairstar wig! I er.. already forgot what stil it is but I chopped it all to hell to get te right style for Quay anyway. XD It's the HSI #2 mix, i'm really pleased with it! =3

 

Mine are from the second batch. My brother intercepted my Hairstar package, wrapped it and gave it to me on Christmas even though I am the one who paid for them. XP!

I've taken some pictures though they are not that great.

Here is Kobu modeling his sister Jordan's wig. I have not been able to get a very good picture of the mix yet (it is a mix of #5 and #33 if I remember correctly).



Now Kobu in his wig. It took me about a day to get used to it. He has not taken it off since. (it is a mix of #F5 and #purple with the light purple being the more dominant color)

They are both so beautiful.

 

Lets see... both my wigs from the 2nd batch were entirely experiemental. I thought I'd try something unusual with them both.


And this one is a bit unusual too. It has white hair on the top layers, silver hair on the bottom layers. Kind of a nice effect, although not sure its quite to my taste:

Got mine today! They're gorgeous! A little hard to get to sit properly on the heads at first, but they got better with a little practice.

i received mine. and yeah, it sits on the head a bit weird, but it's better after a bit of styling and conditioning.

 

I too had some problems with the size of the wig caps - two of them don't quite fit my dolls. The other four are fine though, and all the colour mixes were simply gorgeous!

I sewed elastic into the wig cap so now it dose not fall off
I love it nice and soft love it ^^



The other 2 wigs I got for Quatre (EL) dose not fit
it has the funky dome thing wont stay on at all the sides and ends are not long
enough in the wig cap
But they are very nice in color and style

There's all the wigs we ordered. One wig doesn't look like what we ordered.. the base colour is right, but it looks like they forgot the frosting. I'm pleased overall, but some things are a little off.

I mistakenly ordered the wrong wig...the first one shown here should have been another style completely. *sigh* I might end up selling it and try to order the one I really wanted.

The one in the middle, the headcap is way too small and yes, has the cone-shape problem. I really don't like the way they had sewn this style at all. My Volks Nana13 is old skin so she has a much bigger head than the pure skin sd13s girls. I love the style of this wig, just not the headcap problem.

Overall, the quality of the hair is excellent and I totally love the spiral curls! They aren't frizzy as other wavy/curly wigs I've bought before.

 

Yay, I got my wig. This picture is taken on a mini size doll - but the wig DOES fit my larger dolls just fine. I just prefer this color and style on this particular mini, so the cap is pinned up slightly to work on her head.

I love the texture of the hair. I also am totally absolutely thoroughly in love with this color. It's soo lovely.

Custom Hairstar wig!

 

I LOVE my wigs. Sadly, ChinSeung isn't as fond as the ones I got for him, but he's a spoilsport.

I can't recall all the mixes, but here they are, on my Yder...

And the dark purple.. this is on an MSD-sized head, but a little sewing in the back has it fit well enough.

I can't get over how soft and lovely the hair on these wigs are.. they don't fit bulbous head ChinSeung without some kind of securing system (which he doesn't have) but regardless, they are /lovely/ and I am surely going to order from them again >w<!!

 

This is the only one I can get a proper picture of, since the other two didn't fit right. ^^;

I LOVE the color mixes that I got. I just wish I could get a picture of the actual mix. I was lucky with my choice; this is exactly what I wanted, and it's exactly Sakura. ^_^

The mix and style of this particular wig is, I believe:

I'm not positive, though, since the Hairstar site is down and I can't check the color chart. ^^; It's basically one brown color, two different red colors, and blonde.









I have to say, my brown and red wigs are soooooooo soft, and they pretty much do not tangle at all! I've tried this wig on twice, and it still looks gorgeous, while my Leekeworld wigs are tangled and becoming rather crummy looking with only one wear. ^^;;;;;;

My white wig, due to the length (I think it was 22" or floor length) was tangled before I even opened the package. ^^; Although it did untangle quite easily. It was unfortunate that I couldn't get better pictures of it:



That's the same style as above, and only white.

The next time I order, I'm getting a short version of the red wig, and probably the white wig, but with gray mixed in (Chii, anyone? ^^ ).

 

I would like to see any and all wigs from this company especially in shades of red and/or copper.Id also like to see different color mixes and styles.Also how long does it take them to ship out custom color mixes?

They really do bring out the star quality of your dolls. This is my first time purchasing from her and I'm very happy!

 

Kasita asked me to post some pictures of a Kstarr wig from the latest batch (Feb 2006), which have different wig caps than last summer's order. (Sorry it took me so long to do this, Kasita!) This wig is style 13.001 in colour 30a, and the model is a Volks SD13 School A. The wig fits like a dream; secure but not tight. The stretchy wig cap is awesome! I've tried it on an Elf Ducan and several CP dolls already, and the fit was good on all of them as well, despite the head size difference.


The wig is extremely flexible - you can flip the bangs one way, or split them to go both ways. Excuse the dark patches, that's just some water for styling (does a perfect job too).

In natural light on a sunny day.* The actual colour is darker than this.* I've clipped up the bangs here, and you can see all the layers of the cut.





I decided later on to straighten it. It was really easy! I boiled a kettle of water, and ran it over the wig. I then combed it and left it to set on a lotion bottle. It only took one try to get it perfectly straight. I wanted to keep the flippy bangs, so I just pinned those as I wet the rest of the wig. The fibre retains all of it's original shine and softness, it's lovely!


On a visiting Juri 05 that I painted. While this is the best colour representation, all of the shades seen can be achieved with different lighting.

I'm lucky to have a wonderfully supportive and large doll group here in Toronto. I have my eyes set on some of Kstarr's wigs, but I need to see owner's photos first. I want to see photos of the yellow brown (#144) color. Do you think that would look good on a doll with a very red/pink face up? I would also like to see photos of styles 13.006, 13.008, 13.016, 13.020, 13.028, 13.033, 13.041, 13.042 of any color. I don't like how they label them with numbers, but I hope it isn't too confusing
