I payed per Paypal, so it was very easy.

He was shipped out on 29 January 2010 -> It took 8 weeks and 2 days; he arrived on 03 February in customs.

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
For the Doll yes, the clothes and the wig not.

* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
He didn't arrive with face-up, so he can't be compared to the Ivan from the pictures. His skintone wasn't the same as in the pictures.

* Were you satisfied with the product?
His body moves doesn't look as good as in the pictures for the new body type, the wig looks very bad, the clothes too. So I'm not really satisfied.

* If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
I didn't contact them, because I know that those things can't be changed.

Yes, because the doll I get is still beautiful.

Depends on the condition and the price.

Even if it sounds bad, what I wrote, I still like this company. And even if there are things that I don't like (the wig and the clothes), they still have very beautiful dolls.

Prompt and legible!

* How easy was it to pay?
Very easy, though I would've appreciated it more if they had sent an invoice or if they had the 'Pay Now' feature that most places have with paypal.

* How long did it take to ship?
6 weeks and 4 days.

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Definitely! I wasn't displeased at all. Tender Too has a few gloss "errors" and a thin, black line on his actual lip that is clearly a mistake, but they're nothing to really complain about.

* Did the item look like the sales pictures?
The molds themselves look exactly like the pictures, however, Bee-A's faceup in the photos has darker eyebrows in the pictures than she does in person.

* Were you satisfied with the product?
Without a doubt!

* Would you order from this company again?
Most definitely. I'm hoping to get my hands on a DOT Calla.

Probably, if the doll I wanted was limited. Otherwise, I feel like it's more special if I purchase directly from the company itself, that way I'm the first "mommy".

Very prompt! They were even very patient with the questions I bombarded them. Since this was going to be my first BJD, I wanted to extract every information I could get ^^

* How easy was it to pay?
Very easy - I also liked how they notified people when they received the payment.

* How long did it take to ship?
I received the customs notice on March 3 (7 weeks) and claimed him on March 5.

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes. However, there were some problems with how he was strung (his left knee seems to have been strung tighter so the left and right legs don't look the same when I pose them the same way in some poses but nothing major to complain about).

Very! They even pierced his left ear for free even though I only requested it a week before he was shipped ^^

I received an email right away to confirm my order and the next day when they confirmed my payment. I posted on their Q&A Board to let them know I paid and they got back to me right away, even clearing up a couple questions they had (since i forgot to call the Cutie Face-Up by it's proper name).

I found it easy to pay. Paypal makes things simple.

It took 3 weeks and 6 days for them to ship.

I've always though of Dream of Doll to be a little pricey, but I'm always very pleased with their work. The price is definitely appropriate for the quality.

Yes, very much so. Though I do wish they would show examples of the different face-up types to give people a better idea of what to expect.

I'm highly satisfied by everything I have from this company.

One thing that is buyer beware if you order more than one or two Elastic from them they send it all in one piece, we're talking elastic that goes on forever. It's really hard to tell if you got exactly what you pay for but it's only like 2$ per so I'm not really stressing over it.

* How was the communication? No extra communication was necessary, but I got all notices right away for payment, shipping, etc.!

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Definitely! Two beautiful dolls with lovely faceups, even their default eyes were pretty. One of the magnets in my Bee-A's headcap fell out, but it was nothing that was hard to fix.
* Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes! Aside from the different faceups that we requested of course, the sculpts were fantastic.
* Were you satisfied with the product? Yes!! Definitely! DoD even sent us two extra pairs of hands, one for each doll! It was a very pleasant surprise!!

Excellent! I received notices for payment and shipping, and being a first time owner, I had quite a number of questions. They replied to my every email within a day and was polite and friendly about it. In fact, I wasn't even aware of the face-up promotion until they told me about it. They even acceded to my request for one-side ear piercing!

* How easy was it to pay?
A breeze with paypal. I wanted to add the shoes to my order only much later and they accepted it. All I had to do was to just top up the amount with paypal. ^^

* How long did it take to ship?
Around 6 weeks

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
Yes. Their sculpt was extremely exquisite! There were no obvious flaw and the entire doll look was smooth and even.

Yup, but they gave me the default clothes for Kirill (long pants with a "K" belt) instead of for Ivan (short pants) lol

* Were you satisfied with the product?
Extremely. He was exactly like I expected and the faceup looked even better in flesh than the one shown in their official pictures. I had initally wanted to request for a more "pinkish" faceup (based on their pictures) but in the end I just went ahead with the "default makeup". I am glad I did; the faceup was totally my type. ^^ They even gave him an extra pair of hands!

Not applicable coz I'm satisfied despite the wrong clothing given lol. (They did apologize for it, though I was okay with the Kirill clothing set so no exchange was needed. ^^)

Really great! They were so friendly and replied very fast.

* How easy was it to pay?
Very easy! I paid with PayPal and DOD confirmed the payment after a day.

* How long did it take to ship?
The dolls were prepared to be shipped after only 3 weeks (counting from the day I paid, I paid 5 days after ordering), they were shipped after 4 weeks. So fast!

* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
My Sha's face up isn't 100% perfect since the colors of his cheeks are a bit different. A bit of the face up on his left cheek was also wiped away, I guess it happened before the face up artist sealed it. But well, it's not that very tragic as it's not visible on photos so I still give a "Yes" as the answer to this question My friend's Tender Shall's face up is perfect tho xD For me, DOD's face ups are the best of all.
The dolls themselves are in good condition, no damages. The dresses and my Sha's wig are well made as well.

Yes. Like I said it before, I'm not 100% happy with my Sha's face up but it's still okay. Sha is my dream doll and I'm so happy to get him after one and a half year

Was very easy, and very friendly
They always try to reply your mail as soon as possible at the work days.

Very easy.
I use the bank transfer, after I pay, and send a scan of the receipt to DoD. Next day DoD had given me a reply that they had accept the payment.

2 days 1 night from DoD to my country.
BUT the package got stuck in custom for 8 days 8 nights, and 1 night at the post office.

Yes, indeed!

Hum... I think my Luke got a big nose than the picture. Maybe it's because I buy a blank doll.
But I actually don't care because that means I can try to conceal it with faceup like using a makeup.

* How was the communication? Sent notification emails when I made the order, when the payment was confirmed and when he was shipped.
* How easy was it to pay? Yes, Paypal.
* How long did it take to ship? Payment was confirmed the June 22nd, he was shipped August 11th. Which was abit over the estimated time, but only by a week.
The shipping time was amazing though. In less than three days he traveled from Korea to PA, which is pretty empressive.
* Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes, he poses great, his stringing is excellent and the color of his tan is perfect, very brown opposed to orangey.
* Did the item look like the sales pictures? Well, he doesn't have a faceup, so he face looks a tid bit diffrent, but that's just a lack of a faceup.
* Were you satisfied with the product? Yes, very. I can't wait to send him off to get his faceup. He even came with an event wig. I wasn't even aware that the company was having an event, but the wig is lovely.

How was the communication?
Communication was by email and I was pleased.

How long did it take to ship?
He was shipped August 12, and arrived at my home on the 14th, so a little over seven weeks. The company had their summer vacation during this time which accounts for the extra time I had to wait.

Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
The price was much lower than I expected for a tan DoT doll, but I am satisfied with the product overall. There's some issues like light spots in the usual places and some strange texture on his arms (indicating they might have been sanded) but I can live with them. The wig is very nice; a little too small but very soft and silky and a beautiful color.

Did the item look like the sales pictures?
Yes.

Were you satisfied with the product?
I am very happy with my new little man!

Their clothes, wigs and shoes are fine, so yes as long as they were taken care of by the previous owner. Dolls I would not but only because I don't want anymore dolls at this point!

About 5 weeks, which is *way shorter* than other wait times I've heard of.

For the clothing, yes. The outfit is very beautiful, and very well made.
For the doll, no. This was my first doll from them, so I don't know if my experience was "normal"-?
She came lightly covered in resin dust, not good for someone like me with allergies/asthma. So I went to clean her up. When I moved her arm, she made this horrid squeaking noise. I realized her arms were strung so tightly, they were scratching her shoulders. As I wiped her off more, I started noticing more unfinished, rough spots between the joints and inside the body parts.
I decided to take her apart completely and have my husband resand the parts that needed it. (He used to do model kits, so he does all my repair work for me.) He spent all afternoon working on it-
Even Unoa kits and handmade artist dolls I've seen don't come as rough as this.
I washed her off, let her dry overnight, and restrung her the next day. I also put some Kips discs in certain spots. Now she's finally good to go!
On the positive side, her sculpt and resin color is beautiful. A lot more pink than I was expecting, but I like it. The outside seams were finished really well.

Not quite. The faceup was painted lighter than shown, but I had read that is normal for them, and it didn't bother me. They also gave her shorter eyelashes than most others I've seen, but I liked them.
* Were you satisfied with the product?
Overall, yes. But I wouldn't recommend this doll for anyone who doesn't want to do maintenance, or expects to just take her out of the box and play.
* If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
I didn't want to say anything to the company, because I wasn't sure my experience was out of the norm and was afraid of offending them. And because I had someone to do the repairs for me, I didn't see what else they could/would do about it.

I was impressed with the design of U-i's outfit, they decided to go with a snap system for her shorts and belt where it snaps in the back. All of her pouches snap on. The DOI outfit for Black Code 2 is tight on him and ornaments on his shoulders were falling off, I fixed them no big deal.

The face ups were exactly what I wanted if not better. I'm really pleased with how both of them turned out.

Marbling on Black Code 2: Minimal (Back of heel, top of head near head cap line and on the Gun hands). I'm more worried about the sharp seam line on the back of his arm. But over all he's perfect.

Also, my girl's left knee pieces are slightly crooked and off centre. It doesn't affect her standing or posing, its just an aesthetic difference.

One of the feet..the place that need to be hook on is broken. I email the picture to the company and they said the would send me a pair of new feet. Until now the new pair of feet have not broke =)

Yes! Of course! Their doll is amazing and i had decided what to get next!

- DOT Homme Ducan + pink (now lovely) faceup + a wig.
When did you order?
- May 2009.
How was the communication?
- Perfectly alright. They would answer on time whenever I had a question and in readable, understandable English, too.
How easy was it to pay?
- This was way back when they were really strict about their credit card payment (photo of CC, photo of valid ID, etc.), so it was a teensy teensy bit of a headache. I'm just glad they revised it and that I have my own PayPal account now.
How long did it take to ship?
- Four weeks.
Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
- This was back in the day when DOTs cost 560USD, and I was definitely happy with my Ducan because he was in perfect condition, the resin was smooth and his faceup was pristine. I just wasn't too happy with the extra wig I bought because it turned out to be too small for his head even though it was meant for SDs.
Did the item look like the sales pictures?
- Doll, yes. The extra wig I got, not really.

- I was very happy with the doll.

How was the communication?
Great communication, very understanding to my payment problems and very accommodating.

How easy was it to pay?
Impossible via credit card (despite using IE8 as recommended), so they let me pay via Paypal, which was very easy.

She was shipped September 17 and arrived September 21, so 9 weeks to be made and 5 days to ship.

DOT Dark Tahlia, fur wig, Tahlia's dress in white, shoes, Dreaming head 13, face ups for both heads, and painted nails.

* How was the communication?
Communication was excellent. They speak very good English and reply in a timely manner. They mailed me updates on everything.

* How easy was it to pay?
Fairly easy, though Paypal. I did have to contact them since the Paypal function on their website is down.

* How long did it take to ship?
She took 3 months to ship because of an unfortunate incident regarding tan resin. But after she shipped, she arrived in about 5 days.

* Were there any missing or broken items in your order?
Nope, everything was there and in one piece.

* If there were any problems with your order, how did the company handle them?
The only issue was a bad mixture of resin. They had cast the doll so she would be ready to ship in about 6-7 weeks in, but that doll came out very marbled. They E-mailed me with this information and apologized for the delay. They said they will cast her again as they didn't feel right sending out the original doll and even included some shoes for free in my order.

* Would you order from this company again?
Yes, I definitely will. Although, I think I'll stick with their normal resin color.
