History: Geamhradh is winter. He and his siblings rule the seasons under the watchful eye of their father. His name means winter, as the other spirits' names are the same. He uses his flute to call the snows on the eve of Samhain, and when he does, he takes on the form of a white and ice blue peacock. About five hundred years ago, he was summoned into the mortal realm by a witch to try and use his icy powers to control a vicious demon. When she couldn't locate him, she banished Geamhradh to the realm of the fae. There, he continued to call the seasons, with him hibernating through spring, summer and autumn. After a while, he met Alair'Isildor, a seelie/unseelie faerie who taught him the joys of the flesh. He's fallen in love with the fae, and lives with him, awake through all seasons. After an incident, Hafgan (summer), separated from him to try and steal Alair away. He separated the dark and light sides of the fae, and was turned away. Now, Alair, and Isildor, have to work out their issues because Geamhradh will not get rid of one of them.

History
Winter was born in Iceland, but immigrated to Canada when he was two with his mother and father and thus has no memory of his home country. Winter was born completely deaf in his right ear, but can hear partially with his left with the help of a hearing aid. His deafness has lead to a heightened sense of sight and this often distracts him, causing him to find interest in mundane things normal people might not look twice at, such as fabric, frost on window panes and swaying tree branches. He frequently gets lost in the visual world around him, which has lead to him being labeled a "space case"by Vin and the some of his fellow dancers at The Black Lady. Winter is also mute, uttering only baser sounds such as laughter and cries of pain or pleasure. His inability to speak is the result of his childhood trauma, not his partial deafness and thus occasionally, during intimate or emotional encounters with Vin, he will whisper a few select words, usually in English but depending on the situation, sometimes in Russian.
Winter understands spoken Icelandic as well as English, but his primary methods of communication are written English (on a notepad which he always has with him) and ASL (American Sign Language). As previously mentioned, he also understands a bit of Russian, which he picked up during his many years as property of the Russian mafia. Winter's parents sold him when he was nine to pay off their enormous debts, incurred from assistance they sought to save their failing tailoring business. After ending up the property of the Russian mob he was put to work as a child prostitute and occasionally as a drug mule. When he was twelve, he was purchased by a mafia underboss named Ari Sokolov and kept in and expensive high-rise apartment in Toronto with several other boys, all under the age of sixteen.
It was Ari that gave Winter his taste for overly rough handling; he frequently bound him and then whipped or beat him for hours before raping him. Despite the emotional, sexual and physical abuse he suffered under Ari’s hand, Winter grew to feel affection, perhaps even love, for his master, believing him when he told Winter that he was his favorite. Winter lived in the tower for four years, but when he turned sixteen Ari sold him to another man, and this broke Winter’s heart. His new owner pimped him out to other male clients who did terrible things to him and, after only a few weeks, Winter escaped and ran away. He eventually made his way to New York City. When he was eighteen, a woman in a black limo noticed him loitering outside of an upscale hotel, very underdressed for the cold weather. He was doing what he always did each night, waiting to be hired by a traveling business man as “company” for the evening. Quite the beauty at this age, Winter appealed to the woman visually and she knew he would be an instant hit at her club; she had to have him. This reason, if you ever asked her, would be the only one she would give to explain why she took the young man in, though inside she knew it was because she had also felt a need to help out the beautiful youth, who had looked underfed, lost and in need of a safe place to sleep; the same way she had looked thirty years before when she'd been doing exactly what he was doing to survive. She'd even stood outside of the same hotel.
The woman took him into her car and offered him a tidy monthly allowance as well as room and board in exchange for taking a position at her “club” as a dancer and, occasionally, as a courtesan. Desperate for a way out of his current client-by-client existence, Winter accepted her offer. It was the best decision he ever made, for despite being clumsy and spacey off the stage, he was an instant success on it, just as the lady in the limo had predicted. He quickly gathered a large fanbase of men and even a few women, seemingly overnight. But more than finding a safe haven, and a job he loved, it was through accepting the woman's invitation that he met his soul mate, the man who, at first reluctantly, became his teacher, his guardian and eventually his lover, Vindobona Saint Valentine, the black lady’s apprentice and manager of the club, "The Black Lady", an upscale exotic gentleman’s club and, secretly, a brothel, where you can have any man or woman on the stage as long as you know the right people and have the right amount of money.
