Brief Background: As his other name implies, Reaiah's sacred duty on the mortal realm is to release and guide the spirits of the newly deceased, especially the ones who hover between the boundaries of life and death. Neither compassionate nor condemning, not only does he illuminate the passage towards the Gate of Judgment but also prevents those who refused to proceed forward from re-entering the mortal realm. Ironically, Reaiah himself is forbidden to cross the Other Side......

......that is, until the last living mortal dies.

Personality: Though a very cold, frightening and callous person on the outside, Reaiah is not exactly the type who erects an anti-social barrier around him on purpose. People, unsuspecting of his true nature, will find themselves enjoying moments of conversations with him, specially if the subject matter appeals to him the most. His wisdom betrays his true age, and even rivals the eldest of sages. Except to his elder sister, Reaiah is never known to confide and open his heart to anyone.

When greatly provoked, however, Reaiah no longer waits for the person to die before unleashing his wrath. He can wield his power to forcibly sever the soul from healthy living flesh.
