&#9834; Anything Else...: Vin is the Former-dancer-turned-floor-manager of The Dark Lady, an exclusive gentleman's club in New York City that is also an illegal brothel if you have the right kind of money and know the right people. He took a bad fall off a pole on stage when he was twenty-three and ruined his left hip. This made dancing difficult for him even after he went through physiotherapy and so Madam decided it was time to take him under her wing fully and make him her apprentice. He will eventually take over the brothel and the club ownership when she retires. Presently, he runs the club, oversees the dancers and is the first point of contact for anyone wanting to "purchase" one of the dancers.
Vin's mother died from a cocaine overdose when he was six, leaving Vin to be raised by Madam, the owner of the club, under who's care he was legally left. Being busy, Madam did not have as much time for a child so Vin was left pretty much to be raised by the men and woman in the club and brothel, who all adored him.
He is named after the small town in Italy where his mother was born, where she hoped to return with her infant son so she could give him a better life. This never happened unfortunately so now all he has left of her dream is his name.
He learned to help out and earn his keep, being taught to style hair, do make-up, sew costumes and even help with the building maintenance when necessary. He learned to dance and started stripping when he was eighteen. Before his accident he also made himself available to both male and female clients in the brothel to earn extra money, though he was very selective about who he would sleep with. He never fell in love with anyone until he met Winter.
