Apologies for the flash. Here's a quick pic of my trio in their Iplehouse wigs. Brynne and Artorius (the big ones) are both in IHW_M038, in Saddlebrown and Black. Rosamund, my MSD is in IHW_S035 in Burlywood.


And even though you can't see much of it here, Bijoux wears IHW_S035 in Sepia. Iple makes some of my favorite wigs, for sure.

The cap has a little bit of give to it, but not a lot. It won't stretch a long way.

id love to see some more IP wigs, but i would also like to know what the quality is like. are they pretty thick? soft?? i need a possible wig for Kamau (whom i am hopefully ordering this weekend) and i know they will fit him, but i want it to have braids. so im thinking i might be braiding it myself
anyone think this is even possible with IP wigs?

Lovely thick wig, but be warned that this one stains -- I just had to scrub off a mark from my girl's forehead when she'd only worn this for a couple of weeks.

M037 #86+88 Goldenrod


I had to restyle this one a bit, when it arrived the top was sort of flat and fanned out strangely while the rest of the curls were defined in fairly thick chunks: a little going over with a damp brush set it to rights quickly, though.

Default wig from the Swan Lake fullset -- I think this one is M033 #27+25c saddlebrown:

 

I just got my first Iplehouse wigs ever. One will work for the doll I got it for, and one doesn't look like it will, but I'm very impressed with the quality. They look good in person, seem to photograph well, and feel quite slick and nice. I find the sizes are a little smaller, which I was actually hoping for because both Raven and Eis have kind of small heads . . .
IHW_M019 #3 (natural black), in need of styling but l quite like it on Eis. ^ _ ^ It isn't black, though, in person - more of a dark brown with hints of maroon.


IHW_S033 #33 (brown) Okay, this is after I attempted to braid it. Not only is the colour not dark enough for my purposes, it gets way too thick in braids. In this pic I've cheated and made a third braid down the back, and the braids are still too bulky. (I've had this problem with other companies' wigs, too, though! I think I just need to try mohair or something else.) It's too bad, because this wig is completely gorgeous.

 

As folks have noted, the one big thing to be aware of is that Iple's "natural black" shade is not a cool-toned stark blue-black: it's more of a brown-black, and some types of lighting may bring out the warmer brown undertones in it. They do mention this at a few points in their catalog, but it's not described in such detail on every wig listing so it can take folks by surprise. (I have the same M027 braided wig as a couple of folks here have posted in "natural black", I like the shade a great deal and think it's very pretty and natural-looking, but if you wanted a more dramatic true jet black it's not the way to go.)

If you're interested in a wig color that they haven't photographed yet, like most of the M017 "gradation" blends, just ask on the Q&A board and they'll do their best to verbally describe the color differences.

IHW_L020 in "natural black", which, as some others have pointed out, is a very dark brown. It's very thick, soft and luxuriant, and hasn't stained so far even though it's been worn for substantial times.
(Not sure if I got a JID or YID sized wig; it's too small for my SD boy but fits my MSD girl nicely. )

 

Almost all of the wigs I own are from Iplehouse. ^_^
I love them. They are very good quality, thick, and manageable.



IHW_M028 in blonde. It's a lovely platinum shade.

This is a lovely shade with wonderful highlights and lowlights in it.
My girls are often fighting over this wig.
My only complaint is that it loves to be the eyes. It is good with barrettes or a hair band.

IHW_M033 in Black. This wig is so full and has lovely curls.
I do recommend washing it however, it did stain my doll's head after extended wear.
I have washed mine now, and the curls survived beautifully.
They are also more like tight ringlets than the waves on Iplehouse's photos.

Iplehouse sent this wig with my Silvia when I purchased her. I believe it is this wig, but in natural black, which they do not seem to have now.
I have done so many things to this wig over the two years I have owned it, but I can still manage it using only my fingers. ^_^

The colour isn't as bright a gold as on their website, but it's still a nice colour and it's a thick, high quality wig.

It's the L - 054 wig in "carrot" - seems to be permanently out of stock, though, can't seem to find it anymore on the IH website. Anyways - I brushed it and thought I had ruined it for good but actually, for a pirate, and plus the braids, it's really great.

 

Anyone can tell me how's the color with Sienna or dark orange? Or show me a pic that;s true to colors?

 

I'm looking for replacement for Luts Natural black-color wig from Iplehouse, so should it be #1B color instead of #3? Can someone maybe show photo or tell the differences.

The wig is very thick and pretty but it tangled really fast on me. I had to soak it in fabric softener to detangle it and now it works much better!

oh happy day! I'ma love this thread! Maybe I can find someone who has some shots of a particular wig... I want both the Erica & Emilia 'opera' wigs but have concluded that the one w/o bangs is IHW_MO60 just in a special blended color. But I can't figure out which one was the base for the one with side sweeping bangs... I also would love pictures (lots of angles?) of it if someone owns the actual opera wig so I can figure out the styling... If anyone spots these for sale somewhere also.... give me a shout and let me know... I really want these 2 wigs! (I have a set of twin characters to do up that are so similar to the doll characters it's not even funny and they came from a book... not even me!)

And with the new extensions I might stand a better chance at doing up 'my' twins proper styles!

There is a slight color difference between M059 and M065, M059 is a little darker and more red, and M065 is more on the ginger side.

 

Long shot request? Does anyone have the "Erica - Special Edition" (opera) wig... Emilia's is a standard style now but I can't even figure out what wig Erica's was based on (have an idea but not sure). I know I can't get the two tones but what I want is some good photo's that might show how it's twisted/wrapped. All I can see from pics is that it's not quite the same way as the other O_o... I'm hunting for it on marketplace always but I don't think anyone seems willing to part with it.... and also there are almost zero owner pics with that wig O_O

 

mkay finally remembered to do this. I use silicon 'heel grips' to secure my JID's wig. My placement also acts as 'tape to hold on her head-cap as the magnets are useless lol. Despite the fact that the wig is the sugested size her head is smallish and the wig too big... the heel grip is just thick enough to take up the extra space and hold the wig in place ^^

My girl is wearing IHW_M016 in blonde. Size 8-9. It's very soft. Quite lovely, in my opinion.

This wig is much different than pictured on the site, and apparently no longer available in this color. It was purchased fairly recently, however, within the last year.

 

Wow, I can't believe I haven't posted my girls wig in here. She's been sporting a iplehouse wig for years now.

Here it is. Oh gosh I think it's S032 but it's been so long I honestly can't remember. and it's in Pink, obviously XD.




I don't take back/side views pics often so this is the best I got of the wig from the side.

Does anybody have a wig in the color "dark brown"? The sample pictures of the different colors don't have a picture of "dark brown", but there is for "sepia" and "chestnut". Also, can anybody vouch for their quality of more recently purchased wigs?
