Brief background: Hachiko got his name to cope with his past. As a child, his parents abused him physically and emotionally. His Father was an alcoholic, and his Mother was a prostitute. His Father beat him and his Mother, and his Mother beat him, blaming everything that went wrong on him. The only escape he had from all of this was school, where he got teased a lot being called "dog face", and his Grandmother. His Grandmother was possibly the only thing that kept him from committing suicide. She taught him many valuable skills, and always encouraged him to be whatever he wants to be. Regardless if it seems impossible. "Always reach for your dreams." she always said. On his 16th birthday, everything seemed like a dream. His parents stopped fighting. He wasn't getting yelled at or beaten anymore, and his father stopped drinking. Suddenly, just like that. At his party, Hachiko couldn't find his Grandmother. He went to her bedroom, only to find her crippled corpse dangling from the ceiling. As he was about to scream and run out of the room, his Mother stopped him. And in a voice that just didn't seem like hers, she said "Happy Birthday my son.... All for you..." He immediately left home, living by himself as far away from his family. All the skills that his Grandmother taught him finally are put it into use, as he keeps a steady, happy life. He called himself "Prince Hachiko" from then on, to keep himself from being depressed. His favorite story has been that of the loyal dog Hachiko, who stayed by his masters side even when he died. After his masters death, Hachiko would wait for him in Shibuya, until he then died.

Brief background: Edel was found abandoned and injured near the Fey nation of Alphirien. He was taken in by an Elf called Chester who had found a home himself amongst the Fey. He was informally adopted by twin siblings Fawne and Camlin not long after.
