History: His name was Shaial, Lord of Darkness. In time he tired of his role and brought fourth seven others to share his responsibility. Once he was certain they were up to the task, he left, establishing himself anew as Yetual, the Night Wind. But his new self could not last forever, and as the others like Yetual began to fade from existence, it became time for another change. Abandoning the Night Wind and leaving behind only a lingering mystery, this time he became merely Shai, a mere mortal man. For a time he was content with this new role, until something rocked the foundation of his world. Curious, Shaial resurfaced for the first time in many a year and discovered that, where once had been seven, now there were six, and one of the six had brought forth a child in the mortal realm. While he doesn't agree with Libra's reasons for trying to seal him away, he also doesn't hold a grudge as he still cares for the young man - he just does not have a good way of showing it.

Luca calls him 'papa' as he was the one who created Luca from a lost soul. He treats Luca as his child as he is unable to have children. Currently dating Asmodeus and loves to spoil and pamper him.

Age: Centuries old, something somewhat timeless. He's had many lives that notch themselves in many different centuries, but never lives long in any of them. There is no time in the afterlife, where he currently divides his time between The City of the Dead and secret worlds where he governs order.

History: In his first life, Kratos was born Icarus the Greek, son of Deadelus. Held captive above the lair of the minotaur, Icarus and his father made themselves wings to fly away from thier captors. The wings were successful, and though it took them many long years to create these wings of wax and feathers, the two men (one young, one old) flew over the sea back to thier motherland. Icarus, despite his father's warnings, flew higher and higher, determined to touch the sun. When he got too close, the wax on his wings melted, and the boy plummeted to the ocean, where he died. So the story goes.

In the Purgatory of Hades, Icarus begs the god for his life. Seeing the young man's ambition, Hades agrees - but for a price. Icarus is granted the gift of multiple reincarnations. But once his each life ends again, Icarus must become a servant of Hades. For every year in the life he lives, he must work seven for Hades. Thus, the cycle continues. Finding this deal attractive, the young man agrees, and is made alive again, years later. However, the joke seems to be on him, for, cruelly, every life the boy lives is cut short. Never having lived a life past its prime, the man who once was Icarus is doomed to die by an execution of corvids, no matter how many lives he leads or where, or when he leads them. His last life saw him as a European aristocrat executed by a peasant coup in a bid for Revolutionary Power.

In the afterlife, he works dutifully for Hades as promised. 'Icarus' (for he really isn't Icarus, anymore) becomes Kratos, the plaguebringer. With a mind that is mostly bird, part human, and not at all like the mind he once had, Kratos (a calm, silent god) punishes the greeks like a demon from the box of Pandora. He leaves mayhem, disease and crows in his wake.

Centuries pass in real time. The Greeks fall to the Romans. Hades becomes Pluto. Kratos remains the same. And when the Roman Empire becomes ancient history, the power of the gods finally loosen thier hold on Kratos, who remains. Moving from the Greek realm, Kratos graduates into The Land of the Dead, the true underworld where all gods reside and work to maintain order in many universes, and times. Becoming a denizen of The Prefect, who maintains the order of all worlds underneath Heaven, Kratos' responsibilities are doubled, and he is granted to move beyond time to spread his plagues, and collect souls for either himself (as companions) or The Prefect (who uses them to power the underworld) in his working time. In his free time, Kratos roams the universe and acts as a bringer of order in secret worlds where the dead are kept. Kratos' work leaves stylistic impressions on him: the Black Death, his greatest plague, influenced his taste in clothing (he dons a plaguedoctor's bird mask, and crop) while the plagues he wrought in Ancient Egypt gave him a flair for the dramatic.

The souls he keeps are turned into crows as his familliars, they become bound to him forever. If a murder of crows is seen where you are, you know they are sent to do his work. (It is said that a murder of crows will gather on the roof of a building where a soul is shortly meant to depart in attempts to catch it and drag it to thier Master. It is a bad omen.)

Personality: A very emotionally flat deity, Kratos is neither malevolent in nature (as his job would suggest) or benevolent. He is incredibly calculative and methodical, and speaks very little, though he is not mute. He does have flights of feeling from time to time, and his heart is soft for the souls that he has feathered. He maintains them very well, but is otherwise a very solitary person who enjoys the silence he comes to live in when he is not working. In his afterlife, he is a devout lover of order, and becomes bothered when things are not done in the proper way. He is never angry, sad, or happy; when he feels emotions they are toned down, muted versions of themselves. Bitter, uncomfortable, and content.

When he feels real, large emotions, if ever, they hit him hard. In the event that this happens to him, he becomes at a loss of what to do, and often obsessive and very protective (single minded in nature) of what gives him that sort of emotion, if it is an emotion of value.

Likes:Hoardes of treasure, things that glimmer and sparkle, especially coins. He is an avid coin collector and makes many of them himself. His coins are enchanted things that are used to spread plague and malice. He also loves beautiful voices (he has a sensitive ear for this kind of thing), and admires from afar the angels that live above him in the heavens. His other great loves are corvids of all kinds, especially crows. Solitude. Things that are presented in grand ways. Tapestries and ruinous cities. (He is often spotted in deserted ruins, often by chance, by the wayward traveller.)
Dislikes: Disorder in his personal life, the denizens of hell for thier chaotic lives and threats of upheaval (of the Prefect). Children. Loud, boisterous places. (Though he will tolerate both if they have thier place in the world of order, or if he is working, where chaos and havoc come hand in hand with himself.)​

Personality: While at one point she was no more than an empty shell, having the unsophisticated brain of a bird, her master's will has now begun to flow into her, causing her to develop quite a nasty personality. Like her master, she is snarky and, well, just plain evil. She has a rather large ego regarding her physical appearance, and believes she's the most gorgeous thing to ever grace this universe. She has absolutely no moral sense and would gladly seduce even a child. Having been reincarnated and now currently living in a world where most beings are immortal, she also has no real grasp on the concept of death. Brutally murdering someone carries no gravity for her.

History: As far as Zeliath knows, he's just a demon, like any other. He exists to cause chaos and destruction, and the world is his playground. What he doesn't know is that he is in reality yet another aspect of Shaial, created to experience what it was like being a demon. Therefore, he only exists when Shaial wants him to. No doubt he would be furious if he knew.

History: Joined the group of mages after summoning a demon went very wrong.
Personality: Because of the demon inside of him, he has a very black-and-white personality. On the one hand, his human side was very calm and patient, but since being possessed he's gotten more nervous and less patient, since every time he loses his temper (and some times in between) the demon comes out. Afraid of releasing the demon, his current state only allows it to come out more, though its power is certainly limited, only transforming his body and taking limited control over it.

History: His mother was psychologically abusive to him, and his older brother did nothing. Eventually, Daryn fell into a coma one night, induced upon himself as a defense against his mother. It was 24 hours before he was taken to the hospital by his brother. His mother contended that he was just pretending. After a few days in the hospital, his wings started to grow and get feathery. It was at this point that he was taken away by an "independent doctor". This man was actually a mage who convinced Daryn to wake up and gave him apprenticeship under Thoryn.
