Hello~! Mods, please delete, move, and/or merge as you see fit. My apologies. :3 I'm not sure if this style of hair really has a specific name. I'd like to see some doll wigs [slightly] slicked back. Preferably fur wigs, but if other that's fine too. Maybe even wigs that are made pre-slicked. I'm mainly looking for blond-like colors, but other colors will do fine. Whatever you can provide would be of great help; links, photo's, advice, etc. Thank you~! Here are some examples of slicked back. [Although with doll hair, it is not necessary that the hair is so slick your capable of finding your own reflection.]
So far the only wig that's slightly in the style I like is a J-pop wig called 'Winds'. I really like how its pulled back more-so then most wigs I've seen. Although I'm still here in hopes to see some wigs brushed back slicked back styled back etc. Loz from advent children and Seifer from Final Fantasy 8 have pretty good examples of hair styles I'm looking for. Now if only I could find those styles in doll wigs, I'd be set XD;
when I think of slicked back/greaser hair I think of Elfdoll Mir. >_< here is Aznbutterfly's- http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=179363
honestly the best wigs of this style I have ever seen are custom made mohair wigs, styled and set with product to achieve the desired look, I HAVE seen some fibre wigs, but not for a long time. Fibre is difficult as you need to hide that whole wigcap edge so not a lot of companies or customisers want to go to that sort of issue, and it requires stiff fibre, which tends to have a shorter shelf life than softer ones...at least where the frizz is concerned
Good question! I'm looking for something similar for Angeal in black, shoulder length. That long white CoolCat wig I have has the fibers turned under in the front so the wig cap doesn't show. It seems that only the long wigs are like that, the short wigs all have bangs.
i agree with the short mohair wig idea too, since i believe with mohair it is pretty similar to human hair so with some product it could probably work. good luck!
Well if you can find a wig where the wefts come out from the inside, you could just slick it back like normal hair. I'm sure someone could always make one for you if you want to commission someone Mohair would probably look best for that. Good luck finding it!
Well Christy has two dolls with hair up and somewhat (if not totally slick back). She cuts the hair short, but if the hair is longer, it will probably give you that slick look http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=126280
For my doll has a few in their pre-order section. Hopefully they are close to what you're looking for. You can pick from a variety of sizes and colors. One of them is currently sold out though http://www.formydoll.com/shop/step1.php?number=374 http://www.formydoll.com/shop/step1.php?number=376
:'D Thanks so much for the responses~! Think I'll try out the custom Mohair/fur wig[?] idea with some styling wax~ I'll probably play around with the hair to get used to styling it first... I don't wanna muck up a perfectly good wig by cutting and pulling to soon, or some thing~ Thanks again all~!
http://www.denofangels.com/forums/s...h-short-hair&p=8611142&viewfull=1#post8611142 Third one/last one down, very wet and slick~ Found this in the 'short wigs' section. (Yep, necromancing my old thread.)
Two different fur wigs with lots of product. Clickable thumbnails Fiber wig cut down from a longer one and styled with lots of product "A Little Less Ritual..." by sistercuervo, on Flickr I'm thinking of making a hard cap wig for him, as none of these suit him just the way I want. That might be the easiest solution for you, too.
I have this wig as well, and was going to suggest it. You could even slick it back more then in that photo. It's a great wig! I think Dollheart still have them instock in their ebay store. Too bad it only comes in one colour!
@ sistercuervo, That looks amazing, you've a handsome fellow! Thank you for sharing~ @ Sillypeach, Oh no, only one color!? Well I'll look it up, even so XD Thanks for your input!
