Teacup, the Exalted character's, original origin story:
This is just a teacup.
No... I'm not kidding. He's just a teacup.

Really.

Teacup is another one of my Exalted characters. He's a raksha (Exalted's version of the fae-) of the Common sort... Ornamental, if you want to get specific... who was accidentally created by a tempermental Noble during an argument with a Twilight philosopher about the nature of Reality. He started out... exactly as his name implies... as part of the Noble's tea service.

The Noble lost that argument and blamed the poor teacup, even though he really hadn't had anything to do with it. He hadn't even existed as a self-aware entity before the Noble and the Philosopher's argument over his existence made him into one. Still, the Noble was furious. She kicked him out of her domain, and the last thing she said to him as he left her realm forever was that no matter where he went, or what he became... He wasn't ever going to be anything but a teacup.

The poor creature wandered for awhile, until eventually he came to the Bordermarches (The place where Creation and the Wyld begin to touch-). He'd never seen anything quite like Creation before, so he stopped and asked a passing Hobgoblin what it was.

"That's Creation," the Hobgoblin said. "Where things Exist."

"Who lives there?" the wandering teacup asked. He was keenly interested in Existing, since an argument over that very thing was what had created him, but he didn't want to run into any more grumpy Nobles.

"People live there," the Hobgoblin answered. And then he showed the teacup what a Person looked like by turning into one.

"Oh... That's very clever," the teacup said, and he tried it too. He was pretty good at looking like a Person as it turned out, so he thanked the Hobgoblin and went on his way. "I'm going to live in Creation, so I can Exist too."

He liked Creation. It was a strange place, full of strange things like dandelions, and strange beings like field mice... But there was no one for the teacup to talk to, and he was lonely, and he wasn't entirely sure that he really was Existing at all. Luckily, one day while he was playing with some frogs at the edge of a pond (He liked frogs-), he met Jylli and her brother. They were People... Children, really... and they were afraid of the teacup at first. Once he managed to convince them that he wasn't a Hobgoblin who wanted to eat them, they were a little friendlier. Jylli even asked the teacup his name... but he had to tell her that he didn't have one. "Because," he said, "I'm just a teacup."

"Then Teacup can be your name," the little girl replied... and Teacup was happy. Because having a Name meant that he really did Exist after all.

About her: Rosary was once a French noblewoman, till her entire family was slaughtered for her “sake” and had her humanity taken away by a vampire known as “The Count.” Not to long after becoming a vampire she hooked up with another vampire known as Alistair. He was an assassin and a merchant in service to an underground black market type order. He took Rosary under his wing and taught her that being a vampire wasn’t so bad. Rosary eventually got past the shock of being dead and having to live off blood and became a member of the order as well. The Count by this point was quite jealous that his beloved girl had managed to avoid him for so many years. In his rage he ended up killing Alistair, believing that Rosary loved him. Rosary ended up trying to fight against the Count to get revenge for her dear friend’s life. However she, a vampire who’d never tasted human blood, was no match for him. For many years she was bound to him, which is how she became known as a countess. One year however with the help of the order she was able to temporarily free herself from his control and went into hiding. She now travels a lot in secret, of course still doing the odd job for the order.

Extra info: in my own imaginary world a vampire is able to dwell within the world of humans (day time~) so long as they have never taken a humans blood, this is what I call the “twilight.” Of course since a vampire needs to feed on blood this is a bit hard. To stay in the “twilight” she relies on the blood of animals and of other vampires. Because she’s still in the “twilight” she is able to withstand sunlight for short periods of time, also she can handle small amounts of silver. (like coins~)

History: Backstory: Tory was born with the unique ability to read a person's soul and determine if they are truly good or truly evil. On his second birthday, a mysterious band of tribesmen kidnapped him and brought him to a strange, isolated land they called Limbo. There, his soul was split in two; the purely good side was immediately taken to a central part of Limbo and the completely evil side was reborn on earth and left to walk with bitterness and longing forever. The Tory of Limbo soon learned that it was a land in between, a vast desert of nothingness where souls with no place dwelled and Tory was to become the judger of the souls newly departed. His task was a simple one; If he determined a soul contained more good than evil, he was to purify that evil (thus consuming it along with the memories of the evil conducted), and send the soul to heaven. However, if he determined a soul contained more evil than good, they would be forced to remain in Limbo forever because Hell refused souls that contained any goodness. As Tory grew up, he became tortured by the memories of all the evil he consumed, and without the other piece of his soul to make him whole, he began to take the shape of a demon. When Tory asked the chief why his soul had been split in two, the chief told him only that the one who needed to consume souls had to be completely pure and released of all fear and doubt. Tory had no choice but to continue judging the souls of all who entered his domain. Soon however, something terribly unusual occured that neither Tory nor any other citizen of Limbo could explain- he was unable to judge souls anymore because he had consumed too much evil making him no longer pure. Limbo then sent him to earth to find his other half, Muse, the one who is able to hold the evil souls as Tory could no longer function in Limbo. A problem arose however when he lost his memory upon arrival. He was forced to begin a new life on earth with his memories of Limbo lost forever. But what will happen when fate leads him and Muse to meet one another?

History: Reverie became a member of The Endless rather unexpectedly. When he was born his family always knew there was something different about him, Reverie himself knew this as well. No one could have predicted the way his life would go. Since his youth Reverie has been able to see things. Often his glimpses were of things in the future, with the rare glimpse of a shadow from the past. As he aged the glimpses became more frequent, more intense, with longer intervals before he'd be back in the present. During one of his more intense visions Reverie died in a car crash. Instead of passing on he was approached by Daniel to take over his thrown. Specific details of this are still unknown to anyone outside of Daniel and Reverie. On the day of his death Reverie took Daniel's place as the Sandman, King of the realm of Dreaming, just as Daniel had done so for Morpheus. After accepting his position Reverie found that the mystic powers he embraced had surfaced on his body in the form of tattoos. Unable to get rid of them Reverie simply accepted them as part of himself. Through his years in service to the realm of the Dreaming Reverie has only lost himself to one other, his wayward Baku, Lucien (Nanuri 2007).

Personallity: He's a sweet boy. Friendly, gentle, but rather soft spoken. He's a pretty private person. He's not shy, but neither is he much of an extrovert. He's also a bit of a band geek. He's been playing the violin since 2nd grade, and kept up with it even after he graduated high school. He also plays the piano, but not as well as the violin.

Big long backstory: Florian is the youngest of three children. He's much younger than either of his siblings, Merabel and Dorian. He's always been closest to his older brother, Dorian (a CP El who has since been traded, re-bought, and sold again...I'll get him back one day. Maybe.). When Florian was young (seven), Dorian was awarded custody of his godson, Lucian, when Loosh's parents were killed in an accident. None of the Kim children have ever gotten along very well with their parents (mostly their father) which is why Dorian and Merabel moved out as soon as they could. But Florian, being younger, was kinda stuck. So he hung out with his siblings as much as he could...Dorian much more than Merabel, as Bel lives in Berkeley (she's a bit of a bohemian) and it's not as easy to get to her. Loosh and Florian, being only a year apart, naturally became very close and as they grew up, Florian developed a crush on him. Dorian and Lucian, on the other hand...their relationship also developed into something...more. Florian found out and was...well, disappointed would be an understatement, but because it made the two most important people in his life happy, he accepted it.

Here's where the muse-story (taking place in my head) and the doll-story sort of converge. Loosh fell for another guy and he and Dorian ended up breaking up as far as that aspect of their relationship. Dorian's resin shell was traded (before Florian was even a doll himself), and Loosh went through a bunch of angst with this other guy and became very depressed after they broke up (for the third and final time)...Florian stuck by him through as much of it as he was able. Eventually, Florian became his boyfriend. Loosh doesn't like to admit it, but he still has feelings for the other guy. He and Florian have also had a number of breakups, but they've always remained very close...and now it seems like they're in it for the long haul. Florian doesn't care much if Loosh doesn't feel as strongly as he does, he knows Loosh loves him in his own way and that's good enough for him.
