Backstory:
The country of V'aar is trapped in ice, border to border, during the winter because of a spell gone wrong.
The rivers still flows at the border but is frozen solid within the country.
There is a melt each spring like any normal country but on the first day of winter the ice magically races from the northern border to the southern, flash freezing everything.
It is north of the Elf Kingdom of T'laan and bordered on the north by the Constant Ice, on the east by the Great Ocean and to the west by the land of Glassion.

Icemen of the Royal Family can be recognized by their solid white hair which they are born with.
Those of the purest blood also have a lifespan of as much as 500 years.
Granger is the only son of the King before him and now a more than 150yr old bachelor.
His court counsel is eager for him to marry and produce his heir.

~ Viktor was a knife-throwing Harlequin in one of Cirque du Soleil's productions. However, due to a romance with one of his co-workers that went sour, the management urged him to take a few months off.

~ In desperate need of a job and money, one of his acquaintances put him in touch with Julian Nomad's (Soom Spinel) manager. Due to a recent scandal, Julian was in need of a bodyguard, and Viktor was a perfect a fit for the role.

~ Like the archetype of Harlequin that Viktor portrayed in Cirque du Soleil, he is a rebel and a trickster.

Backstory: Bijan is originally from the "stupid dull little village" of Zifreh, somewhere outside Esfahan in central Iran; he's currently single; he likes pistachios; he's very sweet, yet not entirely trustworthy; he's an excellent card player; he writes postcards home to his mother every couple of months; he loves to travel (sometimes for months on end); animals always seem to love him; and although he is a little shy with strangers at first, he tends to get along with almost everybody he meets.

Restless teenaged-malcontent Bijan ran off with a small Gypsy family circus that happened to be passing through the desert on their way back into Europe. He painted up his face clown-style and befriended the family's adolescent strongman, tagging along with the troupe as a knifethrower, until he was well out of Iran. He and Radu (now-grownup strongman) have been fast friends ever since... and they are both staying here with me now, until such time as one or both of them get road-fever again, and decide to ditch the pleasure-palace life in favor of more adventures.
