Still, he's quite lascivious, fun-loving, loveable (I think)... He has bouts of emo-ness related to self-confidence issues in relationships, but otherwise is pretty well covered in the ego department.

Story: As a Lyre, wanted by two sides of a seemingly endless war for his ability to mimic any and all noises, Kingsley sought escape from his captors. He escaped with his friend Everett, fleeing wildly through the tangled underbrush and to a train that would hopefully take them away from the battlefields, but he was unable to jump aboard. Everett sought to help him get up, but it was too late for Kingsley. He was caught and pulled back by the officials who hunted for them and he was brought back to the place he escaped while Everett was whisked away by the train. As punishment for attempting escape, Kingsley underwent a series of tortures which concluded with the removal of his tongue, thus preventing him from ever using his ability again. Then he was cast out into the mud to die, but he was resolute in surviving and finding Everett again. Kingsley escaped and joined a traveling troupe of entertainers where he acted as the Fool in a silent play to earn his keep, all the meanwhile searching for Everett.
