I personally think any eye color will work with black hair (I especially like pale eyes against dark ^^). It would all depend on the face up you're getting. I was careful about my custom faceup and made sure that the red eyeshadow on Larue would look good with his eyes and hair.

I'm not sure what maker his eyes are but they're purple :]
I think it matters more about them looking good with the face-up than the hair though as black hair looks great with most eye colours.
