For some reason, I always thought Migidoll Ryu would make a good mature/more real-life Sanji. This thread inspired me to do up my floating Ryu head. I had this idea before but never got around to it; the wig is a modified one from Leeke in Milk Brown. The eyes are edited though, I have no blue eyes on hand . Definitely a work in progress, seeing as he doesn't even have a body yet (bad resin match on a DoT body...)

 

Thanks guys . I think one of the reasons I thought Ryu would make a good Sanji is that his eyes are a nice size and he has that great smile/smirk

aibakaneko: Haha yeah, I love Oda's expressions for Luffy. Always cracks me up.

I think one of the tricks for Sanji is getting his eyebrow right, although this actually presents a slight problem for Ryu. Since Sanji's eyebrow starts quite close to the top of his eye regardless of his expression, but Ryu's brow ridge is higher and reasonably pronounced so I had to be more careful about placement while still trying to be scowl-y.

I need to shape his wig more, the real one kicks out a little in places rather than being all flat.

 

My roommates own almost the entire Mugiwara crew in doll form. No Frankie, Brook, or Sanji yet.

Not the best picture yet and we're still trying to find the right wig for him, but she insisted I go outside in the snow and take shirtless Zoro pics. Cause that's what Zoro does, train in the snow half naked.

 

Yikes! I had not seen this thread until a recently not long ago, but even wishing to take part in it since then, I thought it would be worth waiting for the arrival of the last member I have got in my resin nakama troop. She is Kaya.

I think your Sanji is absolutely gorgeous, DevKimiko. I had only seen another Sanji after mine, until this of yours. In my case my resin nakama wear the original color of eyes the characters have. That is why most of them have black eyes, but I deeply like your blue-eyed Sanji.

And also Zoro green-eyed. Amazing scar the one your friend's Zoro has, Kim. Now that I think about it, that is the first one I see besides mine. I am wishing to see which wig you choose for him.

I love the different points of view, how we find them in different molds.

Oh, wow... He looks perfect as Sanji! I've recently been wondering about what molds might look good as certain OP characters (not just cosplay, but to actually have them as dolls/characters), but I hadn't pegged Migidoll Ryu as Sanji. That's a very good match!

For Sanji... he's hard to pick out. Getting that smile/smirk is good. I was thinking Luts Senior Delf Ignis might be a good match... but now I'm thinking Migidoll Ryu is better.

For Zoro, he needs a buff, strong body, and a serious, but not angry/stern face. In real-skin, I think Iplehouse Arivd could work -- he has furrowed brows, but doesn't look too angry + all...

and finally I think Iplehouse Eric would make a perfect Ace!

.... oh how wild our love of BJD + fandom can be... willing to spend so much money to make these characters 'come to life'... *lol* Oh well, in dreams... and maybe one day I can have at least one (or two? Or all three?)...

Heehee, I can finally sort of post here.

He's still a major WIP(still working on his swords + other outfits) but I recently got my Immortality of Soul Jaguar who gets to be a super smirky Zoro XD
He's the only doll I think might kill me in my sleep?

Tatsuha as Zoro is still a WIP. His pants were done back when they looked like dark green in the anime, prior to the time skip. Ryuichi as Luffy is basically done and Tohma needs a longer blond wig to be a proper Sanji wig, but I'm pretty happy with them so far.

Everyone's dolls look wonderful! I hope add to the thread when the weather lets me use MSC again. I am going for chibi Zoro and Sanji in elf form, because why not? Their faceplaces will share bodies with other anime chibi characters I have.
