Theme Does anyone have any "Jem" cosplay dolls?

A lot of people have told me my girl Charlie reminds them of Jem & the Holograms, but she's not a cosplay doll. Just happened to be that way.

Yay another favorite of mine I use to watch that show as a child, I loved the fashions that they were wearing, I believe one of them was a fashion designer...that's probably what started my one desire to get into the fashion field. I believe I still may have a actual Jem doll somewhere. another cool idea for my Kiyoko once I get her back from her faceup...wow am I going to have lots of photo shoots. This forum is very inspiring. Thanks!

i love the show use to watch it all the time and if you live in new york the Hub channel actually is doing reruns of it. im thinking about making a asa, jem, kimber, and stormer eventually, and maybe a synergy.

and those two are really awesome dolls

 

I do hope that this thread gets more posts. Working on a Jem cosplay group of humans actually, so dolly inspiration would be amazing. Any Misfits out there?

yes! I love that series, I finally sat down and watched all of them on my cable on demand! I want to make some 1/6th figures of kimber and jem.
Watching the series I got inspired to make Ai (dikadoll lingyue) a cosplay wig from some pink glitter fur, the black coon tails are detachable but I like them in. I want to make her a full cosplay soon XD

 

I'm an obsessive Jem fan and have been for 26 years! lol I don't have a Jem BJD yet, but I've been thinking about getting this doll from Impldoll and turning her into Jem.

Next I'd want to make a doll into Danse. She's my second favorite character from the show. She had the most beautiful wardrobe, the sweetest disposition, the cutest voice! And I love Raya. And the Stingers--!!! Also love the Misfits, of course. Pizzazz would have to be first from that group. But really... I want to get BJDs (eventually) of every Jem character!!!

 

i am a jem fan as well and i dont know if i can put this here because it not bjd related but they are comming out with new jem dolls of every character

For BJD versions of the Jem dolls I was looking at ImplDoll. They're inexpensive and my wife has one so I know how pretty they are and how well they pose.

I was thinking this doll for Jem, and this one for Pizzazz. Once I start, though, I'm going to want every single character from the show! Just thinking about having a wardrobe commissioned for Danse makes my mouth water, because I think she had by far the best clothes in the series.

Oh, and Impl often gives away free heads for events, so it would be easy to get a second head done up like Jerrica, so Jem and Jerrica could swap heads!

There are some companies like Resinsoul/Bobbobie, I think, that have purple resin, so it would even be possible to make a Synergy!

 

Aww! I love Jem and the Holograms! I still have all the original dolls, complete with clicking joints. Awesome show! I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with! I wonder if the original outfits would fit any BJDs...might have to try it, if I ever get my hands on an actual BJD.

 

Oh man, this show. This show is amazing why did I not think about cosplay BJDs from it until this thread.

I now have this perverse urge to make BJDs for the Misfits. I can't help rooting for the villains in that series, lol.

The Jem theme song is catchy as heck, too. It's now officially stuck in my head. XD;

 

Aw, so many childhood memories!! I always dreamed of having kind of alternative dollie versions of Kimber and Stormer, but I honestly don´t know if I´ll ever realize that.
