Personnality: Complex. At school: He's not particularly popular but he's in and out of groups and not really disliked by anyone. Backstory: Ivan is a Syren. Although his lineage stems mainly from the more ornamental-looking lines, he also has a good share of marine viciousness in him. He is the proverbial 'black sheep' of his family, as he runs a maritime smuggling operation and engages openly in occasional acts of piracy. Ivan lost his parents to the same curse that afflicts all known populations of Syrens. Because of his parents' anti-Dragon leanings, his family was estranged from the rest of their relatives. Following their deaths, Ivan took up his parents beliefs to become the scourge of the open waters, attacking any and all Dragon-allied vessels. He now commands a formidable squadron of Syren pirates. In light of the recent growth of anti-Dragon sentiment among the free Syrens, the rift between Ivan and his relatives is healing.
