The Details: Hideo is a shou-shen... a summoned guardian spirit... who has taken up the protection of a young woman named Elise Whitehurst. A serious and rather melancholy fellow, he found himself bound to the girl when she picked up a certain jade pendant found in the tomb of a Han princess.

Hideo dislikes Boston intensely, and considers Elise's social-climbing relations little better than barbarians... But for the moment he remains silent, blending in with their household as best he can in order to continure his duties. He poses as nothing more than a mortal, if somewhat exotic, servant, all the while keeping careful watch over his "Miss Elise". He believes that she deserves a better life than the pretty cage the Whitehursts have planned for her... and when the proper time comes, nothing will please him more than telling them so.

Personality: Felipe is "The Swashbuckler" of my group of heroic archetypes. Even though he is the oldest of my group, he is like the classic Peter Pan, as he has never grown up. He is always good-hearted and exciting. Always up for a good romp, a daring adventure, or a hearty laugh.

As The Swashbuckler, "he's physical and daring. Action, action, and more action for this hero. He has no fear, he's a daredevil, and an explorer. Give him thrills and chills and he's happy. A bomb in the basement? What an adventure! The Swashbuckler might use the explosion of the bomb itself to blast a way out. However he does it, it's liable to be a show. If he's rescued it'll be pure chance, and he'll be slightly offended because, after all, 'He could have gotten them out himself!'"

He was born Padraig James and has a younger sister, Morwenna James. He was studying photography and psychology at University until recently. His family was involved in a car accident, the result of a malevolent act of magic aimed at his parents. They were both killed outright in the crash and whilst he wasn't physically injured, his soul was detached from his body due to shock as well as the magic and in the confusion he crossed over with his parents leaving his body in a coma.

Mish should have been born as Bean's twin brother Michael but his body never developed in the womb. Bean has always been aware of him being 'around' but most people though Mish was an imaginary friend that he invented because his older sisters were twins and he didn't want to feel left out. When Padraig's parents were killed Bean's parents went to the hospital to try and see what they could do to help, the James' were the Priest and Priestess of a small coven and Bean's parents were members. When they tried to 'call' Padraig's soul home Mish realised it was already too late and the body would die so he moved in.

Everyone thinks he has amnesia and the shock of losing his parents is responsible for the personality change except Bean who knew exactly what happened. He goes from feeling totally alien to loving having a body, so he's pretty unpredictable. About the only thing he really feels comfortable with all the time is playing his guitar, or should I say Padraig's guitar, since he seems to have some physical memory of Padraig's skills.
