Another unusual dollie request everyone! I've noticed...That most dolls are hairless (save their wigs). I don't know. They're soo clean and bishie like. But we all know that hair and such is a part of life. I've seen scarred, wounded and bruised dolls already. Anyone out there who went through the great detail of even placing hair on their dolls? YOOHOO! ^_^
But I just love how this boy turned out, it's the only time I've found facial hair on a doll attractive. He is a Volks Tony modified and owned by Team Sakaigawa Custom.
Johnathan's got a combination of painted on and fuzz from his Jack Sparrow costume that I never took off. Hope that helps.
Funny you should ask, as I just posted these pics in the gallery today. Aidan has chest hair and a tiny little Van Dyke Goatee under his lower lip. http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=158220
This thread was made for my boy Jesus. This wig was just a plain black fur wig that was styled by the most awesome nek. She cut the sideburns into shape, and I keep them in place with a bit of blutac between them and the head.
here's a link to my Buddydoll, Basil. he's got awesome stubble! http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=245273&highlight=basil
I have done facial hair on my Dim JD, mustache and goatee.. also if you check my signature, in my Mod thread I have done other facial hair commissions. I use mohair.
Lir has sideburns because I included them when I made his wig! He's also got face fuzz- he's affectionately nicknamed Scruffy. My Akando Donovan also has sideburns I added to an Iplehouse wig that I altered to suit his character- pics coming soon.
Another one for sideburns: Donovan has em because I made them and attached them to his altered Iplehouse wig. HIs chin scruff is faceupped on though.
I have three beautiful bearded babies: Zachary is by far my most impressive. He's a Soul Doll Asiter with a custom face up by Soul Doll. Brennen, my Lady Sayuki Mature Ted, was done by Kearsy. Alaric, my El, also done by Kearsy. And now I think my boys need treasure trails.
You can get any faceup you ask for from anyone who does commission faceups. I have a boy whose nickname is Mister Scruffy. He used to resemble an abercrombie&F1tch model before I got to him with the paints. He's a Soom Supergem Lupin named Lir. He has messy, if clean, hair and usually needs a shave.
Cammieneko - check out this person's thread in the photostory gallery: http://www.denofangels.com/forums/showthread.php?t=340376 A large handsome fellow with nice facial "stubble"! (And scroll down, as she added more pics in subsequent posts.)
No real hair - only painted. But it's a beard. Morgan: Faceup done by eviechan from the Dollcevita board. The pics don't do it justice.
Kamal (Iple EID SE Luo) has a bit of stubble.............done by Lyn Raftis And a happy trail too.........
I thought I put my boy in here I did the faceup on Fred, so it's not perfect but then my hubby's beard isn't perfect either, so I just say it's more realistic, LOL
Woot! Here's my adorkable little cuddler, Seiki (DZ, Hirry)! Sideburns, and soul patch action! ^__^ Close ups on the facial hair. The side-burns are made from a theater quality fake mustache trimmed to the right size. ^.~ -Kiki-chan78.
I have a doll that's been flocked, facial and chest hair, even leg and arm hair. He's a disgusting werewolf so suppose to be rather gross and not perfect, etc...He was flocked by catdancer: For prettier I have Sirius Black who Mie'aga did the facial hair, drawn on: And Rebastian LeStrange where I did the goatee, just white glued some hair on, it's not the best.
I didn't put give my boy his beard, (I bought him from animefigurekit who had moded him to look like Ju ken) and I normally am not a fan of facial hair, but it really suits him ^_^
Bumping this back up, and I need to get some more mister scruffy/ Lir pics for us. IN the meanwhile, here's Sir Malcolm Owen and his manly silver beardyness.
Adding Tetsu to the thread, I gave him a goatee. Done by watercolour pencils and soft pastels. Sabriell
This Volks F38 fellow was supposed to just get some faint shadowing to represent stubble, but since he had some issues on part of his face up, he ended up with more like a sparse but wiry, "every direction" stubble-beard. (And I added some wayward strokes to the overly neat inside corners of his eyebrows. Just to complete the scruffy look....)
As the Title says I would like to see Man dolls with facial hair like goatee or sideburns Anything like that i guess A huge favor if you tell what kind of doll it is and who did the work? Thank You! o(^ - ^)b
I know I've posted pix of Drin before; his beard and 'stache are molded on the Minimee head in NS. I just messed with his faceup until the graying-redhead colors looked right to me. The light in this shot is a little more on the green side than I like, the wig is actually medium gray. And Ivan is a smooth WS Minimee head that got his scruff with browns and tan pastels on the faceup I gave him.
Iplehouse Tedros has been posted before, but really, they do such a good job with facial hair, I have to post him again! 10-09-Tedros3_2198 by aprilllee, on Flickr
Volks Heath. He turned out a little more Johnny Depp than I wanted him (next time I won't use him a pic ref XD) but it's good for now!
Masayoshi's Ramon (Iplehouse Akando) sports a beard and he is by far one of my favorite dolls on this board. Here is one of her photoshoot threads.
I have to add four more here =) Stravos, my refined alchemist [Soom Gluino] Marko, my metalhead [Angelsdoll Michael hybrid] Pavel and Ezequiel, my hipsters [Soom Chrom and Dollshe Rosen] I'm loving dolls with facial hair, they add so much personality. I'm sure I'll paint more in the future ^^
I commissioned this faceup since, at the time, I had NO confidence in my faceup skills. This is Elliot (Soom Chalco). Jefferson (an AiL Bertram). This was the first time I did stubble on a faceup myself. I love how it came out I find stubble super-sexy on dolls
Recently updated Yasuo's faceup. Tried a different method than my usual for his facial hair ^^ It turned out well, so I thought I'd add it here for reference.
Bevan, the bass player in my band. He's a DIM Minimee Squall Leonhart on a DollZone b70-001 body. Faceup by SheCow. Linda S. galatia9
my minime wesker head has a goatee. it was hard to find an "older" more masculine head but this one worked perfectly for the character i had envisioned. [IM G][/IMG]
There are too many awesome faces in this thread! Too many, I say! Be it painted, glued, or molded, the creativity surrounding good-looking facial hair is outstanding, and always makes me wish for more bearded gentlemen. Someday, I shall have an excuse for sideburns. But in the meantime, I must get by with these two hairy gents: I am not quite satisfied with Beliaer's chin horns. They're much too large, and I rather miss his short-cropped beard days. When I get around to redoing his faceup, I shall have to make him some smaller horns, I think, and add in some hair. We also used to house a noxious little pest of a goblin who had some (Terribly photographed) visible 5 o'clock going on: He is now a she, and happily resides with Shandrel. Bearded dolls are a 'happy place' for me. Not that bishounen boys aren't just as full of life and character if given time and thought, but it feels nice to see a fellow with some scruff once in a while, especially in a hobby with so many 'pretty' men. Plus, the hair is just so much fun to apply and shape! It's addicting, I tell you. ...So addicting that two of the heads floating in my cabinet are destined to receive facial hair one day. And there's at least another one planned. In the meantime though, I shall thoroughly enjoy all the glorious testosterone this thread has to offer.
