Favourite accessories: Amatsu always wears her pearl headband and an amethyst heart necklace. She has many favourite outfits, among her favourite are Dollheart's Famille Peach and Cherry Blossom Fer. She stole Affinite's hampsterbear, with reluctant permission; we say that Henry gave the toy to her. She has two pairs of shoes, but, so far, she'll only wear a pair of white ballet slippers with pink trim.

Why I fell for Luna: Her haughty expression. She was pretty and adorable, and she was also expressive without being too open. She looked like she would judge anyone and find them inadequate.

More: Amatsu used to be a Chiwoo Elf girl, but she was changed back in March '08. I looked at several Volks dolls for possible new incarnations of the character's doll. I considered a SwD Nana probably the most, before realising that Luna was perfect. I quickly put the original Amatsu up for sale, and began to look for a Luna. One was up for auction on eBay, but that one was snipped away from me after already going through the stress of fearing I'd lose the opportunity. Then, a Luna head filtered onto DOA and I purchased her just minutes after losing the eBay auction. I had hoped to take her back home during my Spring Break, but she didn't arrive until after I had already left for my holiday. During my entire holiday I kept whinging, "I want my Luna!" As excited as I was, I was ill prepared for how fond I'd grow of her after finally picking her up from the dorm mail room. To the shock of many, she de-throned my Jun Tachibana as my favourite doll. It took me eight months before I could part with her long enough to send her off for a new face up. At the time she wasn't my dream doll, though getting her was more challenging than I anticipated. Since her arrival, she has become my favourite doll. I feel that she is as close to being the manifestation of my definition of doll beauty.

Character History: She exists in a different world than ours. But, to put her history in perspective, she is like a young maiko after WWII and has been instructed in traditional performing arts of the geisha. Additionally, she has been instructed in more classically defined "western" arts, such as ballet, in order to prepare her for more modern patrons. She can be very traditional, being that she grew up in the hanamachi. But, it is ballet that inspires her and brings out her passion more than anything. When a man named Haikagura offered to sponsor her admission to the school he taught at, she left the hanamachi because it opened up a greater opportunity to study ballet than if she stayed where she was raised. This is only her most recent "life." She is a phoenix.
