1/4 shoes for short wide feet?

    1. I've been trying to find some shoes to fit the Crawler Body I ordered, but I'm finding that BJD shoes skew long and skinny. This body's feet are 5.5cm long and 3cm wide. Even the 1/3 shoes I find rarely reach 3cm wide. I looked at shoes for 20cm cotton dolls and while one or two were bigger, they're generally just not as nice looking as the other doll shoes. I have so far found a single pair of 7 by 3 cm boots. Does the width not require as much clearance as the length does? I see the early buyers on Rednote have shoes on their dolls and I haven't seen anyone complaining about shoes being difficult the way I did with Bonbon Galaxy's Xiao Hui. So is there something I'm missing or am I not using the right search terms? :?

    2. Normally, 1/4 shoes are made for ca 5.5x2-2.5cm feet so wider ones are difficult to find indeed! Tbf, even for my 1/3 girls with 6.5x3cm feet, I struggle finding shoes wide enough in their size category (at least on Taobao that is). That being said, if you don't mind the shoes being a bit longer, shoes that Super Dollfie (SD, SD13G) can wear, should be wide enough - so Volks SD10/SD13G shoes for instance, or makers who specifically make shoes for them. From Chinese makers, some Kaka Planet loafers were a good fit, and I also got a pair of oxford shoes from Doll Guy that are a squeeze but should fit a shorter foot much more easily (the b&w ones from here). Those will all be for be a 6.5cm foot, though.

      I think first and foremost, I would measure the foot myself to make sure it is actually 3cm wide, though. Since you said other buyers don't seem to be having trouble, it might be that they're 2.5 after all?

    3. Thanks for the shop suggestions! And you're right, I wonder about that too. I don't have it yet to measure so I should probably just wait and do that. I could only find one picture of the body's feet next to another 1/4 doll's without shoes covering it and they do look comparatively chunky.

      But they didn't tag the other body and I couldn't identify it, so unfortunately I still don't have a point of reference. :sweat Looks like I'll have to wait and see.

    4. Hmm, maybe comparing the shoes people have posted the doll in would help, too? I have a sneaky suspicion this body might actually take "bear girl"/"fat 1/4"/Puyoo Kumako size shoes.
